Katy growled low in her throat, but it was a sound she made sure only Tyrel heard. It was utterly annoying her that the only thing those men had in common was her! She stared at Eric, which he didn't raise his eyes to look at her. She looked at Tyrel who was now strapping in Amanda. She rested her head on the truck seat.

"Are you guys ready?" Eric asked.

"Yeah... Yeah we're ready." Katy said.

Eric turned around to make sure they all had their seat belts on. He then winked and smiled at Katy just to reassure her everything was going to be ok.

Katy smiled a little too.

Tyrel caught the wink and growled low in his throat. He felt Amanda latch onto his finger and he looked down at her. Her beautiful little eyes looked up at him and he sighed. He would behave if only for his little daugher.

Katy got out her cell phone to text some of the drag queens she hadn't talked to them in forever. But there was no signal and her hand still hurt from damaging their car. Katy rested her head on the window and brought her legs upward so she could sit cris cross. She just wanted all of this to be over. She remembered her promise and she was happy about it. She had promised herself if Tyrel lived, she wouldn't leave. She was keeping her promise and happy about it.

**blah... grrr..... rawr.... meeep**

Tyrel laid his head down so he could look at Amanda and Katy at the same time.

Finally when Katy woke up they were back to the town. The car now pulled to a stop.

"Where are we?" she asked.

"The vets. We've come to get the animals." Eric said.

Katy looked at Tyrel, "you wanna go get them?"

Silence....

"Please?" she asked.

Tyrel sighed and unbuckled. "Alright." He patted Amanda's head then he climbed out and walked inside the vets office and to the counter.

"Can I help you?"

"Ya, I"m here to pick up a Blue Heeler and a black aat." He said. "Belle and Salem."

"Give me a second." S he walked back behind some doors then came back with Belle on a leash and a crate with Salem in it.

Katy sat in the car with Eric and Amanda. It was akward. She looked at Eric as she held onto Amanda.

"Tyrel seemed really upset, what did you say to him?" she asked, holding Amanda easily on her hip. She wanted to know what their conversation was about.

"We just talked about you... We use to be in love, Katy. Remember?" he asked.

"It was a long time ago. I have a husband and a daughter now." Katy admitted.

Eric took Katy's hand and looked at the ring. "That's quiet a rock." he smiled. "I would never try to break you two up. You KNOW that. You have a beautiful daughter, and Tyrel may be an ass... you love him so I can't really do much now. Although he doesn't really know what he's got."

Eric brought Katy's hand to his mouth and kissed it.

Tyrel clenched his jaw as he watched Eric lift Katy's hand and kiss it. He heard Belle growl lowly and he opened the door and then set Salem in near Katy's feet. He sat in his seat and Belle jumped up onto his lap. Eric cleared his throat a little and then he started the car.

Katy never thought she would see a hotel room in her life again. She finally dumped her bags on the floor and carried Amanda and put her on the bed, Salem followed like a true companion. Tyrel was infront of her with Belle and his bags.

"I'll be right next door, if you need anything." Eric said, more or less to Katy than Tyrel.

"Thanks." she smiled, and closed the door.

"Your thanking him?" Tyrel asked, it sounded like he was just a breath from choking.

"Why wouldn't I be?" she asked.

Tyrel felt his jaw twitch. "NO reason." He replied as he checked Belle's food and water bowel.

"What's got into you?" She demanded.

"Oh, nothing. Just that a beau from your past is around constantly, always touching, or kissing you." He frowned. "Damn it, your my wife, Katy."

Katy looked at him like he had grown another eye, a look of shock went over her face.

He just stared at her. "Yeah, that's what that ring means on your finger." he rolled his eyes.

"We had something in the past, he was important to me." she admitted, but she didn't raise her voice, she wasn't angry.

"That's just it, Katy. That's just it." he growled. "You two have HISTORY."

"Don't say it like that," she winkled her nose. "You make it sound like it was fifty years ago. Look Ty, he was important to me I used to love him, past tense, used to and if you can't except that I'm sorry. I'm not going to lie to you and tell you he wasn't important to me, he is." she said.

"Is... That's not past tense." he said.

"Maybe he is still important to me." she said and turned away.

Tyrel clenched his fists. He couldn't lose her. There was no way, he knew she didn't care for him, if it wasn't for Amanda she wouldn't still be here with him. He looked at Amanda who was laying on the bed just looking up at him. He sat down and looked at her letting her play with his finger.

"Whats wrong with me, Mandy?" He whispered laying down as she played wtih his finger and tried to suck on it. He dind't let her though. "What can I do to get her to love me?"

Katy sat against the bathroom door, and tried not to have flashbacks of her and Eric. It was horrible, she knew Eric wouldn't come between Tyrel and her. Then she noticed, they had never said 'I Love You' to each other ever before. They had said it thousands of times to Amanda but never to each other. It scared her, Katy was scared to say those words she didn't even say them to Eric! She'd never said 'I LoveYou' to another man besides her father. What the hell was she going to do? Katy took an hour shower and finally when she came out, completely dressed. Tyrel was making coffee, Katy went over to pick up her baby.

"Are you hungry hon?" Katy asked.

"Actually I ordered room service." Tyrel said, she couldn't see his facial expression.

"I was talking to our daughter." Katy tried not to laugh.

There was silence.

"Look I'm really sorry." she tried to say, it was hard because her voice sounded like she was breaking down at the last part.

"For what?" he asked, he was bracing his hands agaisnt the counter.

"Everything. Everything like the way I acted after we just got married, for the entire honeymoon incedent, not inspectining my birth control pills-"

"Don't apologize for Amanda."

"I wasn't. I'd never say sorry for having her. I was saying sorry for getting tricked into it. I'm sorry for threatening to leave, my cruel humor, yesterday, today and hell why not even tomorrow?" she laughed a little bitterly.

"I'm sorry too." He said looking over at her. "Listen, I want this to work, Ok. I get mad, I'm sorry for that. But I want this to work."

"It can." she swallowed the lump in her throat. "It will, we made it this far." she said. "Almost a year and a half."

"Honestly Katy why have you stayed as long as you have." he asked, crossing his arms.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"I mean why have we been married so long? I'm suprised every morning to wake up and notice your still here." he said.

"Why don't you go first?" she asked and leaned against the wall.
