*I guess I'll take the tenth slot. Tell me if this is okay, if not I can change it.*
Name: Kylar T'Gaelan
Gender: male
Age: 17
Species: Drakos, a dragon that has taken human form.
Occupation: Hasn't joined yet, when he does he'll be a squad leader. Specialising in stealth and reconnaiscanse. That's not to say he's bad at heavy combat. He just doesn't like it.
Personality: He's hot tempered with a love of life that no one else can match. His friends joke that he's an 'optimist by nature, a cynic by circumstance.' The best way to describe Kylar is intense. Arrogant, graceful, and passionate, he has a temper, but years of experience have taught him to think with his head. Kylar treats everyone he meets with some degree of mistrust. He lives by his own code and he's a trouble maker with a wicked sense of humor, but his heart is in the right place. The rest of his personality will be revealed with time.
History: Kylar was born in Oskaggar. A direct descendent of Karmaz himself. However the power seemed to have dissapeared from the bloodline. When Kylar was born with the same powers as his anscestor, his mother took him and fled to the Peninsula. Kylar grew up in the capitol city of Infernium, Lunaria. After they fled his mother sealed away the majority of his powers leaving only the elemental powers. His mother died three years ago and he's been wandering around ever since, dodging people from Oskaggar who were sent to capture or kill him, depending on who gave the order. Kylar only recently arrived in Brimiscus.
Other: Up for love, thus far Kylar has been unable to shift into his dragon form. However he is excellent at using his Drakos form, a winged human. Kylar's magic is powerful elemental magic and extremely destructive. But the toll it takes on his body is heavy. He hasn't joined the Lion Hearts yet, but he'll meet them early on.
Above the buzzing streets of Andol, the capital city of the mighty Brimiscan Empire, four airships floated lazily towards the city centre. Three among them were a plain grey, the red and blue Brimiscan flags that hung from it being their only decorations. Another was individualised, the balloon painted crimson, the crest of Aksendei Makedor, the face of a roaring lion with a sword in place of its tongue, was imprinted on its many flags. It was a well-known sight in Andol by this time, the Crimson Pride.
They docked next to two of the many docking towers, and from them the crew unboarded - from the Brimiscan ships came a number of soldier in red uniforms, each wearing tricorn hats, among them were officers wearing blue. Most were Human, though from one ship came a variety of winged creatures, all trained to board enemy airships.
From the Crimson Pride came a lone figure, the captain of the ship. Aksendrei had the appearance akin to that of one of the many pirates who raided the colonies, though somewhat less barbaric. Four Brimiscan soldiers escorted him down the tower into the Imperial palace. On the way, Aksendrei thought he saw someone - or something - being pursued by an equally mysterious being. Turning around, however, he saw that nothing peculiar appeared to be happening.
The Imperial Palace was not just an Imperial residence, nor was it just a centre of government - it was also a magnificent symbol of the power of Brimiscus, crafted by some of the most skilled architects in the pensinsula, and decorated with gems and other precious materials from around the world. Even so, Aksendrei had seen it, inside and out, many times before. As impressed as it was, the awesomeness of it was fading.
The four soldiers brought him to the officer of the Emperor himself, Rikos IV. An old man now, Rikos' wisdom is becoming more and more inhibited by his dementia.
"Your majesty," Aksendrei bowed, "you wished to see me?"
The Emperor tapped his fingers on his desk, made from the wood of Stalor, a large island on the other side of the world. He was clearly agitated. He had a detailed map of the Great Peninsula in front of him, and he had one hand on a globe.
"Oskaggar and Harroglaw have signed an alliance."
Aksendrei knew that this would happen some day - everyone did, without a doubt. But he was not prepared for it that day. Nevertheless, he had agreed to aid the Peninsularites against the rising darkness should they need it.
"And," Rikos continued, his hand slipping away from the globe, "many others have declared allegiance to Karamaz and Amnash. The southern city states tremble underneath Harroglaw's shadow. Among the tribes of the northern wastes are those who have never seen the like of Karamaz, and they will surely follow him. The colonies, both of Brimiscus and our neighbours, are already showing signs of increasing unrest..."
"What would you have me do?"

Kylar dodged through the airship port ducking behind crates and supplies. He was equally careful to avoid being seen by the soldiers as the men chasing him were, neither of them wanted interference.
Shaking his head in exasperation, Kylar turned a corner, he hadn't slept in three days and it had still been ridiculously easy to slip into the militaries airport. He had only been in Andol a few months, but judging by the coming war and the crazy king, it was high time he left.
Absorbed in his own thoughts, Kylar didn't notice he had walked into a dead end, or as good as. Ahead of him was the landing space for that mercenary ship, a wide open area he didn't have a hope in hell of crossing unseen. Behind him the three men advanced slowly, their swords were drawn, and at their waist dangled amulets containing magical ropes.
Snarling Kylar reached up and drew the sword he carried. The blue black metal hissed as it left the sheath, the men stopped warily just out of range, they had clearly been briefed on his abilities. One of them swallowed nervously before speaking. "My lord. We are member of Dark Lord Karamaz' elite guard. We have been sent by your ansestral father to escort you to an audience with him. The Dark Lord wishes to meet the only worthy child of his blood."
He cocked an eyebrow, his pupils narrowing to slits and the sea green was like a mirror. "Whether or not I want to meet the old bastard myself? You guys just do not give up do you? Sorry, but since they killed my mom, I have no intention of making anything easy for Oskaggar. And that includes being the old bastard's Conduit."
Kylar glanced back and grinned, they were loading supplies onto the mercenary ship. Smirking, he turned back to the soldiers. "If I were interested in commiting suicide, I'd go and shout my lineage from the roof tops. Why go half way around the world when there are plenty of people who want to kill me right here?"
Kylar ran his finger along the swords edge, and a blast of blue-black light shot from the sword, he sheathed the blade as soon as he heard there shouts of pain. After being hit by that light, the soldiers would be blind for the rest of the day.
Whirling, he sprinted across the open space, he jumped into one of the supply crates just before the machine welded the lid shut. He glanced around and summoned a red were-light, so he could see. Kylar grinned at his luck the crate was filled with sheets on one side and food on the other. Since he'd lost the soldiers he'd finally be able to relax.
~~RAON~~
"yeah, yeah, yeah , yeah , what ever man i have to go unload this stuff" Raon adjust the setting on his blade to make it a hard steel. He made his way to a crate and then preyed it open to see a boy in it. the boy looked no older then 17 and to his a apperence also a Drako. Before the boy could react Raon pulled him out and dropped him on the floor. "Andreo, Ironfire, Darrock i need your help over here we have a stole away." Raon flicked a switch on his shape changer band and his appearance changed from a normal human to a giant red hot Golem with big broad wings. When the rest appeared he saw that Andreo and Ironfire had taken their more menacing appearances.
"get up boy" said Darrock in the worst way he could to compete with his evil looking helpers. "why are you here, they send you from Oskagger to sabotage us"
"no never, i hate them i came here to join you guys but i kind of got attacked by some of Oskaggers men when they came to recruit me, i had to get away so i jumped in the create. i swear, and if you don't mind could you guys dial down on the appearance."
"fine" said Raon and he hit a button and went back into his human form, ironfire into his griffin and dragon mix (because it was no scary then any other) and Andreo into his elf form.
"but how do we know if you are telling the truth, we should just throw you over." said Ironfire.
"please don't you have to believe me"said the Still unnamed Drako
"well i have a way, i have been working on a truth helmet in my craft room, i still have some bugs to work out but it should work with minimum pain"
"okay that should work" said Darrock and the others nodded.raon jumped and his wings sprouted out of his cloak and he took off to his room placed high up, he quickly grabbed a blue mask from his desk and then sped back down to the others.
"here" and Raon handed the mask over to the boy "put it on" the bot slipped it on and then his body stiffened
"so is the story you told us 100% true" Andreo asked with difficulty
"yes" said the boy with a blank expression
"okay, then" said Darrock "we will keep you in the prison haul for now when Aksendrei comes back he will decide if you can stay" then he snapped his fingers and a man came to take the boy way after Raon removed the mask.
*ugh the combination of magic items, characters and species is already getting confusing boltageman, it's going to get really cumbersome*
Jalliveri
Jalli vaulted down onto the landing beside the Crimson Pride, revealing herself only as a slight shimmer in the air. Tucked under her arm was a small barrel full of salted pork which she'd disembarked to search for as soon as they'd landed. Trapped onboard The Pride for days at a time could play havoc with one's hunger, especially when one had a hankering for humanoid flesh.
She scowled when she saw the thing Andreo guarding the loading area for the Pride; probably in response to some kind of security breach. A moment later the scowl flowed into a grin as she decided to have some fun. With a wave of her hand she conjured the image of a green and purple hound, making it scamper across in front of Andreo and down the street. The stupid thing lumbered after it for a half dozen steps ( a good thirty feet), before turning around and returning to its post. Sidetracked by some pretty colours and movement: Jalli simply could not fathom why anyone would have given the beast a name, well one other than "Bitey", "Spike" or "Ripper" anyway. The thing might have the heads of a snake, but it certainly lacked their cunning.
She was not quite invisible as she slipped over the side of The Pride. It would be best to get the meat stored in her own quarters so that the cook didnt demand she share it out mid-flight. If they got that low on supplies thing could get ugly, though she had heard griffin tasted a lot like chicken....
Once she had the meat and her other purchase, which she still had to examine, stowed, Jalli went on deck. Darrok was by the stern railing, staring off into the distance. She dropped her camouflage and walked over to him. She wore the form of the young woman, the form she identified with most these days.
"Darrok, why so stern?" she asked, leaning up against the railing alongside the veteran, "Aksendrei hasn't got himself in a pickle yet has he?"
So you're going to kill a god. Sure. But what happens next?
*Yeah, please don't over-use magic items, as it can make things confusing. I will apply restrictions if necessary. Also, the Crimson Pride will be leaving tomorrow, so if you want to make a request for its destination you have until then to do so*
Darrok
Darrok placed his musket on the deck and leaned against the railing. He stared at the horizon, where he could just about see the ocean. Most would not be able to distinguish the thin greyish blue line from the sky above, but then most people couldn't choose which eye to shoot from a mile away.
"Darrok, why so stern?" Jallivera leaned on the railing, next to Darrok, "Aksendrei hasn't got himself in a pickle yet has he?"
Darrok shook his head slowly, then shrugged.
"Knowing him." He said, straight-faced.
"He's probably going to get us chased out of Andol!" Jalli laughed, but if Darrok appreciated her humour, he wasn't showing it.
Darrok nodded his head a few times, before picking up his gun and started to walk away. Mid-stride, he turned.
"Do you think this is it?" He asked, "Is Aksendrei receiving our orders to attack?"

Ballow flicked his wrist and the dagger resting in his grip flew forward and twisted in a curved path digging itself into the wood next to a person's head.
Ballow grinned apologetically and the person about the same age as himself pulled the heavily dug in dagger out without effort.
He proffered it to Ballow blade first and Ballow grabbed it with his leather gloved hands, "Thanks . . .?"
The guy smiled, "Armand."
Ballow placed a hand out towards him, "I'm Ballow. So . . . this ship must've been pretty big for me to not have noticed someone like you before . . "
Armand wasn't sure if that was a compliment or an insult, but smiled back, "Yeah, the ships pretty big."
There was an awkward silence that somehow echoed around the room for a few moments, until Ballow laughed, trying to get a casual conversation going, "So . . ."
Armand raised an eyebrow in thought, "What were you aiming at?"
Ballow's smile widened crazily, "One of your hairs."
"What?" Armand asked alarmed.
"One of your hairs, they're very fine by the way and very pretty. I got one but!" Ballow then proceeded to walk over to the walk and pick something off of the ground, "See?"
He held a tiny piece of black hair between his thumb and forefinger. Armand wasn't sure how to react just yet and so taken advantage of his silence, Ballow approached him and pushed the hair into Armand's face.
The Emperor swung the globe around so that the Great Peninsula was facing Aksendrei. He pointed to a city on the northernmost tip of the Peninsula, just a few hundred miles south of the Oskaggrite islands.
"You will accompany the fifth Air Brigade to the city of Angesk," Rikos began, "Brimiscus and her allies are assembling a strike force there, but it may take up to a week for the full force to assemble. Until arrival at Angesk, you will be under the command of Captain Frenkis Lavvorn of the fifth Brimiscan Air Brigade. Upon arrival at Angesk, the fifth Air Brigade will be taking orders from Grand Commander Sir Algris Svenked."
"Grand Commander Svenked?!"
Algris Svenked was a well-known Angeskian general, but despite his strategic brilliance his methods were widely considered to be inhumane.
"Yes," Rikos said, "the alliance has elected Sir Svenked to lead us on the northern front. It was unaminous - there is nobody on the Peninsula who knows how to counter Oskaggrite tactics as well as Svenked."
It was true, of course. He had led the defence of Angesk the last time Oskaggar had united against the Peninsula. But at that time it was still just a loosely organised collection of raids - this time they were united under one leader, and a formidable one at that.
"What will Svenked have us do?"
"That," Rikos sighed, "is up to him to decide."

Ironfire strolled into the boiler room in his human form, he gripped his tool box and walked over to the far side of the room where is was the hottest. He bent over to tighten on of the pipes and was surprised to she Cassandra there doing it. "oh" he let out in surprise he had not expected her to be here.
"oh, Hey Iron" she said cheerful but drained "why are you down here"
"i got an order to come down and fix this" said Ironfire
"same here, well i am almost done though" she said with a smile.
"well that's fine" Ironfire looked around. "he where is That shapeshift thing that's always with you"
"oh, shes around here somewhere, shes always exploring when i fix things." She tugged at her wrench hard but it seemed jammed. She gave a final tug and th pipe tore open and stem poured out. "aw come on"
"here i got it" Iron fire went up to the pipe he pushed it back together and then he blew a jet of fire at it and it began to seal together. "there all fixed, and hey did you here about the stole away"
"no, what happened" she asked curiously
"well Raon was opening some crates and then when he opened one he found a boy in it well me, Andreo and Darrok ran over and now the guys in the holding cells till Aksendrei comes back and decides what to do."
"well, i hope he stays we can always use some more help"
"yeah but only if they can be trusted, but i have to go, i have to pick some things up in town."
"okay bye"
Ironfire walked out of the room and onto the deck, he flicked a switch on his wrist band and he switched into his normal half griffin half dragon form and flew into the town below to run a few errands.
