Hi everyone! I'm Aya and I'm a young novelist. One day I hope to have my work published so my Dad told me an online writers community would be a good start, so here I am xD I love fiction, so that's what I write ^^ I'm pretty shy, but soon enough I'll feel more open here

Hello, I am hoping to improve my writing skills but also send out some my creativity out there as well. I haven't posted anything yet, but I do hope that I will gain helpful tips in the near future on how to make something sound interesting or at least avoiding from sounding like a total nincompoop.

TheObserver, that's understandable! YWS is loaded with awesome resources, so it might take you awhile to get used to all of them. Eventually it will be second nature. If you ever need any help, green names are Junior Mods, dark green names are Mods, and red names are Admins. Any of these people would love to help you! In fact, that's why we're here.
KFN, welcome! A lot of users on here are into fantasy and sci-fi. You should definitely check out the Story Book section, I think you'd enjoy it. As I said before, don't hesitate to contact someone with a colored name if you need help.
Dominick, you are in the right place! YWS is full of great writers, and wonderful reviewers. We always review a work with the utmost respect to the writer, so you won't get any bullies just tearing you down. Never be afraid to post a work once you feel you are ready for feedback on it. Also, there is an entire section in The Writer's Corner devoted to tips! You should definitely check that area out.

I second what you said about mentors - being one of them, I assure you we'll do our best to help you find your way, meet people and fight all your possible fears in your first month, and of course, later (as we'll stay friends).
