Jaime (Ray)

Jaime fiddled with his hair as their van approached the airport parking lot, ignoring his mother's babbling. The lot was packed; only two handicap spaces left.

"Dear lord, will this place ever have enough parking?" His mother hissed, turning down another row of cars and steering towards another sector of the lot. Jaime simply shrugged and went back to pulling stray strands of red hair from his bangs. "Why do you want to go to this Camp Winnatakawaska? Your father and I were just going to throw out the brochure."

"Winnataska, mom. And I want to go get away from you and every one else here in town. I can't take anymore." Jaime replied. His mother sighed, finally finding a space and stopping abruptly.

"But we need your help."

"Well you obviously didn't need my help before," He replied, opening his door and slamming it closed. Ever since Eden and Eva came his parent's had ignored him. Luckily he hadn't put much weight on since he was fourteen; he was still wearing clothing from two years earlier. It had been hard enough on him that his parent's spent all of their time caring for the twins, and that he had been forced to sacrifice some of his own activities to attempt to help them, but they refused to let him do anything. He had given up his football and hockey, his guitar playing, his piano, and the time he desperately need with the horses he no longer owned.

Yet it wasn't enough for his parent's. Just a year earlier two more twins had been immersed into his family, making his life even more hell. Once again, his parent's refused to let him do a thing, and it was almost as if he no longer existed. He needed a break from his so-called family. He needed some time to himself, without four screaming toddlers and arrogant parents.

"Don't say that Jaime, your father and I need you more-" His mother started as she opened the trunk for Jaime.

"If you need me 'more than I knew', you wouldn't have turned down my every offer to help you with your mistake," He hissed. "I can take it from here."

Jaime didn't wait for his mother to reply. It had been too long that he had waited to tell her exactly how it felt, yet now that he had he felt quite guilty about it. Eight weeks away would give both him and his parents time to realize just how important they were to each other.

Slinging his duffle back over his shoulder and grabbing the handle of his suitcase, Jaime walked towards the large airport doors titled "Arrivals".

--

Jaime patiently waited for the two grumbling kids in front of him to move so he could get his cabin number and schedule.

He laughed as the girl read off her schedule and the boy's face went ghost white as they realized their schedules were the same. Obviously they were siblings.

"Name?" The man in front of him asked, running a pencil up and down a sheet on his clipboard.

"Jaime Ray." Jaime smiled as the man smiled and handed him a schedule. "Cabin fourteen -- horse back riding, swimming, nature study, archery, rope course, and sports."
Anti-Peta.

"In Vabbi , I was ambushed by six of them! They wielded blunt wooden sticks and were hissing at me about overdue fines... Bandits? Oh, no. These were library envoys."

***We should really all have close to the same activities. Also, camps normally have a free time, like a longish break, just letting you know. :D And I say it's an all summer camp***

Leal watched as her parents pulled up to the front of the camp and stopped.

"Get your stuff." Her mom said in her high thrilly voice.

"Love you too." Leal muttered grabbing her bags. As soon as the doors were closed her parents sped off without even a good bye.

"Wish they'd even lie and say they love us." Colton growled. They grabbed their stuff and made their way to the dinning hall for sign in.

"This is the fifth year we're here, and they still don't say anything." She sighed. He laughed as they walked around the dinning hall. She ran into a goth looking girl and then a really hott guy.

"Excuse us." Colton said grabbing her shoulders and steering her around htem.

"They could not stand in the way." Leal muttered. They got their scheadules and looked them over.

"Same ones again. Horseback riding, hiking, nature study, crafts, canoes, and swimming." Colton said smiling.

"Good." She smiled. "See you at dinner, I gotta get to my cabin." She lugged her stuff to her cabin quickly grabbing her normal bed and laying out her bedding and putting her stuff away.

Colton smiled as she walked off and he walked towards his cabin. This was his last year here, he hoped it would be great.

Taylor

His parents helped him get his bags out of the car, although he didn't really need the help, they just wanted to make their point.

His father squeezed his shoulders, "Now, I know this is how you want to spend your summer, Taylor, but you really should be studying if you ever want to do something worthwhile with your life."

Taylor rolled his eyes, taking his bags, "Dad, if I studied as much as you say I should, I wouldn't have a life to do something with. But thanks for this, anyway."

To anyone watching, they gave off the appearance of a happy family that always managed to find a compromise. Of course, that belied the arguments and lectured that Taylor had been submitted to before finally getting his way.

A man with a clipboard looked down his nose at him, "Name?"

"Taylor Freeman."

The man handed him a sheet of paper, "Here're your activities. You're in cabin fourteen."

Taylor glanced down at them, he'd picked them mostly at random, only being sure to put in hiking and canoes. Horseback riding, hiking, nature study, crafts, canoes, and swimming. Sounds pretty good to me, but I've got no idea how to ride a horse. He thought, then shoved the sheet in his bag and made his way towards the cabin.

~Griffin~

"Hurry up, Griff!" I heard Ayanna scream. How could she Ibe done packing already. mean, a chick usually takes longer than guys to pack.

"Hold on a sec!" I called down the hallway, hoping I didn't wake my mom. What else would I need for camp? Oh yeah...I threw in a few pairs of boxers and was ready to go.

I tossed my full athletic bag (I don't own a suitcase) down the wooden floors and it ran into Aya's feet.

"You did that one purpose!" she cried, glaring at me.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's go already."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Thanks again for coming with me, Griffin." I was startled out of my sleep when Aya nudged me awake.
"It's no prob, Ayanna. You know that."
"Still, thanks."
Aya's dad dropped us off at the camp and we got out of the car with a wave. I grabbed my bag and Aya grabbed her guitar case and her bag. We found a man with a clipboard.
“Name?” He asked, looking at us.
“Griffin Banner.” I said, waiting for him to respond.
“Here,” he said, “Cabin fourteen. These are your activities.” He handed me a sheet and I didn’t bother looking at it yet.
“Ayanna Karter.” Aya said.
The man handed a sheet to her and told her, “Cabin three”
Before we looked at it ourselves, we compared activities: horseback riding, swimming, nature study, archery, rope course, and sports.
“Sweet, we have the same ones!” I said, lightly punching her shoulder.
“And I thought I might gain some sanity back…” I shoved her and she shoved me back. We waved and headed off to our cabins, not bothering to say goodbye—we would see eachother soon and didn’t need to vocalize it.
Krystal
I finally arrived at the airport. I took a taxi to the camp. We arrived at the camp and I gave the txi driver his money. As I walked out of the car I saw everyone walking around and screaming and saying hello.
I walked up to a guy with a clipboard with my suit case trailing behind me.
"Name?" He asked.
"Krystal Night."
"Cabin 3." He said, as he handed me a piece of paper. I looked around for cabin 3 and finally saw it. I walked over there and opened te door.
"Hey!" One of the girls said, stopping what she was doing.
"Uh, hey. Do you mind if I get bottom bunk?" I asked her, without making eye contact.
"No problem. Take it." She answered. I walked to the bottom bunk and started unpacking.
"What do you have?" The girl said, making up small talk. I didn't bother to look at my list and finally did.
"Uh, I have...horseback riding, hiking, nature study, crafts, canoes, and swimming. You?" I said, placing the paper down on the bed.
"Same!" She answered.
"Nice." I said. I went on with unpacking, so I could get it over with.
Name: Lila Grant-Westley
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance: http://www.buddytv.com/articles/Image/lauren-cohen.jpg
Personality: Lila is quiet when she does not know you. She is studying to be a ballet dancer at a private arts school. She likes to be serious and rarely has extreme amounts of fun. But, when you do get her to have fun, or get her drunk, she can get pretty crazy.
She has a hard time trusting people or forming meaningful relationships. She likes to be alone.
History: Lila grew up with only her mother. They were wealthy and lived in a big house in London. She went to boarding schools her whole life and became very self sufficient.
Reason for being at camp: Her mother recently remarried and they are going on their extra long honey moon, also she recieved a new step brother in the marriage, who also goes to her art school, they don't ge alone. So, their parents figured if they abandomed them at a summer camp they would have to start to get along.
Name: Justin Westley
He doesn't have a very good relationship with his father and tends to get an attitude when he is around. He and Lila have never gotten along, though he isn't sure why. Artisitic differences. He usually keeps to himself unless he feels that it would be advantageous for him to broaden his horizons.
History: Justin, just as Lila grew up wealthy and with only one parent. Jason and Lila have gone to the same school their whole lives. Their parents met at a meeting with the principal after Justin and Lila got into a fight that involved paint being thrown and clothes being torn.
Reason for being at camp: Same as Lila's
OTHER FOR BOTH: up for love
~Ayanna~
I walked to the cabin and saw that a few girls were already there. I was a little bit nervous but shrugged it off; if I didn't talk to anybody, Griff wouldn't ever let it down.
"Hey, guys." I said with a smile. They looked at me and smiled. I scanned the bunks and found an empty top bottom bunk that was close to a window and put my stuff on it.
Yes you may, Pshhxhoney
Lila Grant-Westley
"We're here," Justin said looking out the window. I stared back at him blankly, wondering if I stared at him long enough if he would disappear.
Why did my mom remarry? Was she really that unhappy with just her and me? It wasn't my fault that she was lonely while I was at school. The whole thing had been her idea. And of all people, why Justin Westley's father?
I remember the day that they met. Not exactly the happiest of memories either.
It was a Saturday. I walked into the dance studio to find none other than Justin sitting in the middle of the studio painting. Of course I was mad, apparently we had both been scheduled for time in the studio at the same time by accident. I explained to him that I needed the studio more than he did but he argued that he needed the view from the window for his painting.
I remeber him reaching for my arm and pulling away with my sleeve in his hand. He had ripped my shirt. I ended up throwing paint in his face. By the time we were finished, when the headmaster found us, about half of the studio was covered in paint.
Of course that wasn't the start of our problems. We disliked each other long before that.
When the car stopped I stepped onto the ground and pulled my bags out of the back. I got away from Justin as quickly as possible and found my cabin. There was one empty bed when I got in and other girls were sitting and standing and unpacking while chatting quietly. I didn't have time for fraternization, I needed to work on my audition tape for Juilliard.
I dumped my stuff on the bed and then headed to look around with out a word to anyone.
Justin Westley
I rolled my eyes as Lila brushed past me and walked towards the cabin. I unloaded my bags and noticed her walk back out a few seconds later. I grinned to myself and finsihed getting my backs from the back.
"Thanks, Gormin." I said to the driver and slammed the trunk down. The elderly driver patted me on the back and returned to the driver's side. The car pulled away and I turned to look at the camp. It seemed like a nice enough place. Of course I didn't necessarily want to be here, but I would try to make the most of it.
Hazel "Haze" Erol
I pushed past a few people reading their schedules. Everyone looked excited and happy to be here. This was just a fun little vacation for them. It was an escape route for me. I was shook from my revere when a man there asked my name.
"Hazel Erol."
I was handed my schedule, and I read aloud in monotone, "Horse back riding, swimming, nature study, archery, hiking, and canoes - fun." A guy about my age turned to me. He was decently attractive, but now was not the time to get another boyfriend, it was to forget about my ex-boyfriend and boyfriends altogether.
"Cool. We have four activities in common. What's your name anyway?" He asked.
This was going to be difficult. I hadn't had a conversation beyond two words since the end of the school year. "Hazel, but my family calls me Haze. What about you?" I asked softly.
His smile beamed, "Jamie Ray. I guess I'll see you around, Haze, right?"
"Yeah." He waved to me and was gone. Now that that was over...where was cabin 3 anyway?
--
I grabbed a top bunk right away. Once I had organized my things, I pulled out a book to read and waited for the first activity. I tried to make myself invisible to the other girls. I wasn't the one for mindless conversation or conversation at all.
~Ayanna~
I sat on my bed for a second then grabbed my guitar and headed outdoors to a place where I could be alone. I would see Griff later and he would be fine but I was starting to get a bit nervous.
I found a tree and sat under it but decided that wasn't comfortable enough. So I put the guitar on my back (it was a cloth case) and started up the tree. When I found a place that was comfortable enough, I took my guitar out and strummed a few random chords. A song that I'd been writing popped into my head but I ignored it--too many people around to start singing, so instead I started playing a song called Firedance.
