If there was one thing Ashlynn Brittney Williams hated more that her parents at the moment it was this new school she had been enrolled in. Sheboygan North High School in Sheboygan Wisconsin. She felt like an idiot. Especially after moving from her old home in Texas where everything had been going great. She had had a boyfriend, a bus load of close friends, and she had even been captain of the softball, volleyball, and basketball team. But no! Ashlynn wasn't allowed to be happy, or at least she saw it that way. Everytime something great happened her parents had to ruin it somehow.

Ashlynn groaned and stuck her dark-haired head in a random locker and began to slam the door against her cranium. Somehow she was going to have to rise higher on the food chain again. She continued to slam the door against her head as she thought. She only had two months before basket season started here, and she had to make the team, that or join in a group with a bunch of suicidal freaks.

Suddenly someone cleared their throat behind Ashlynn, causing her to stop slamming the metal door against her head and look up.

Karen realized there was a girl banging her head repeatively against his locker. He cleared his throat when she turned around she was bright red.
"Hey." he managed. "Uh, I'm Karen." he was going to be embarassed if she started laughing, he knew that Karen was a girls name and he really hated his parents for it. But was happy to have Karen then Brock, like his brother. "You uh, OK there?" he asked.
The girl had turned bright red.

Ashlynn could feel her face heat up to a deep crimson. Everyone was supposed to be in first period... At least that's what the secretary had said. She nodded quickly and stepped away from the locker. "Yeah... Sorry... Leaving now," she spun around, tightening her grip on her black messenger bag, and began to walk, only to be hit in the face with another metal door. The guy that stood at the newly open locker burst into laughter and gripped his stomach while the one from before was trying his best to hold in his laugh. Ashlynn glared and gripped her nose before standing and kicking the laughing guy in the shin. She spun around to the other one and glared angrily before stomping off to find her own locker.

Sadly, it was only two down from both guys. Ashlynn yanked it open and stuffed her stuff in it. She grabbed her first period and second period books and slammed the locker closed. "Stupid, egotistical idiots. Thinks it's funny when someone gets hit in the face," she muttered curses under her breath and began to walk to her first period.

The second Ashlynn walked in everyone in her Trigonometry class was silent. The two guys from before walked in, one limping, the other one laughing at Sir Limpsalot. "Ah, Ashlynn Williams... right?" The teacher smiled, a lilt in his voice. He was a middle-aged, greying man wearing a pair of khaki pants and a button up white longsleeve with a blue tie. Ashlynn nodded once. "Come here then." Ashlynn stood next to him, scarlett creaping over her face. "Okay class! Listen up! This is Ashlynn Brittney," Ashlynn winced at her middle names, "Williams! Treat her like you would treat anyone else. Now, Ashlynn, would you like to say something?" Ashlynn nodded once again, all her shyness suddenly gone.

"Yeah. Hey everyone I'm Ashlynn Brittney Williams, as you've so formally been told, but if you call me by my middle name I beat the living snot out of you. You can all call my Ash, Lynn, Ashlynn, Will, or Williams but if I'm called anything else, pet names included, I'm pound your faces in." She smiled widely. "Just ask Sir Limpsalot back there." The guy, whose name was Hunter apparently, shot up from rubbing his leg and glared at Ashlynn.

"Hey! You kicked me out of nowhere!" At that Ashlynn laughed dryly.

"As if! You slammed your locker into my face!"

"Well sorry. If you weren't so short I might have actually been able to see you."

"I'm taller than you idiot!" The whole class, teacher included, seemed to be entertained by the cross-room bickering.

Karen looked between Hunter and Ashlynn he laughed himself he now knew why he liked school again and he was very very attracted to Ash. The teacher pared them to sit by each other, Ash seemed a bit, stiff when she saw Karen. Karen smiled politely.

Ashlynn narrowed her eyes and walked to her seat stiffly. After a couple minutes the class was already getting boring. Ash had taken this course already, but didn't want to seem like a brainiac. She turned on her iPod and slipped on ear piece in her right ear as she did the assigned homework absentmindedly. It was a sitch, really. All it was was values of trigonometric functions for common angles. The teacher, Mr. Honnilson, had called on her a couple times to answer a few question, which she did with ease. Karen, she remembered his name for some odd reason, was attentively listening to the teacher. He is pretty c- No! Bad Ash! Don't think like that! Ashlynn shook her head quickly, the argument over whether Karen was cute or not going off in her head like firecrackers.

Karen noticed Ashlynn shaking, he touched her hand. "Hey, you ok?"
"I'm fine. Don't touch me." she growled.
"Sorry, peace." he said and went back to his work which was lying on the table, he was happy the professer had assigned them to sit next to each other.

Ashlynn turned her volume on her iPod up, the loud rock music slamming it's high decibles against her eardrum. At least the arguing had stopped... or so she thought. Just look at him. The voice within her taunted, causing Ash to glance over at Karen. She looked away the second Karen looked over, a blush prominent over her pale features.

Looks like a regular guy to me.

Liar. Ashlynn growled aloud and pushed her text book aside, grabbing her sketch pad and continuing on her sketch that she'd began working on the day she came to Sheboygan. It was a 'Country Band'. Complete with a horse on piano, a pig on drums, a rooster on guitar, a sheep on the fiddle, and a hound dog as the singer. It was just a joke but Ashlynn loved working on it.

**Well you can write for both instead of just Karen. I find myself doing that alot**

Ashlynn switched the artist over to Kasey Chambers, one of the most amazing singers in Ashlynn's opinion. The bell suddenly rang and Ashlynn was first out of the room, everything in hand as she ran, yes ran, to her Chemistry class. The teacher made her introduce herself yet again and made her take a seat between Karen and Hunter. Ashlynn groaned and slammed her head against the marble tables repeatedly.

"You'll give yourself brain damage doing that," Karen laughed deeply.

"If I do it hard enough I might put myself in a coma to refrain from coming to school," she replied, accompaning each word with table-head contact.

Karen snorted. "Our school isn't that bad. Trust me."
"Says you." she laughed bitterly.
"No, honest. I'm Karen, but you probably already know that."
"Ashlynn, but you already know that."

Karen smiled. "December 21 for girls, I think. You play?"
"Naturally." she said.
"Good, because the girls basketball sucks, maybe they wouldn't suck if you were around." he said to her and when the bell rang, Karen was the first one out of there, he went to his locker.

Ashlynn stood up and stretched, popping her back. She walked down the hall to her locker as fast as possible. One more period till lunch and four more till idependant study, the times where she could get away from it all and do whatever she felt like. She grabbed out her Literature book, hurrying to her class. Maybe, if she was lucky, she wouldn't have to intoroduce herself.

Sadly though... that wasn't the case.
