I was checking through the analytics for YWS for the first time in months, and I was startled by just how international the site has become. While we've always had a lot of people from the USA, Canada, the UK, New Zealand, and Australia, the cultural differences between those five countries is actually quite small owing to their shared British heritage.

Those five countries still make up the vast majority (88%), but we now have a significant number of visitors from India, the Phillipines, Singapore, South Africa, and Germany (in that respective order). In fact, we have visitors from every European country except for Serbia & Belarus, and most Asian/Middle Eastern countries as well (Mongolia, Kazakhstan, North Korea, Yemen, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Iraq and Armenia have zero). In South America, we don't have any visitors from Paraguay, Suriname, Guyana, French Guiana, or Honduras. As you can imagine, we get almost no visitors from Africa aside from South Africa.

Here's the map of visitors by city:

London pwns. I'm still surprised about that though, I mean, there are more people in New York and a lot of other English-speaking places.

And, almost 4000 cities! Awesome.

I like the Hawaii blob, it looks like it's just stuck out in the middle of the ocean.

Woo internazionale!

I like how you can't see the UK really, or much of either coast in the US ^^

Sweet stats, Nate!

It's cool how you can make out the shape of the US with all the blobs. You can even see Florida!

(For those of you who don't live in the US, that's the state to the south east. It's the peninsula)

Malaysia has a rather big blob there! Covers most of the country, man.

Or that could be for Singapore, and accidentally sprayed over to my side. I always have visited from Malaysia, though. I wonder if any other Malaysians do?
