Sky

"You never will." Shad said into Sky's ear.

"Well, look at this..." A man's voice boomed through out the room. Everyone stiffened, knowing who it was. Lord Owling. Sky made a disgusted face at him, while Ballow and Shad got ready to fight.

"I see why you are doing this..." Sky said.

"Oh yeah. Why?"

"Because you are afraid that other people are actually stronger than you."

"That's impossible."

"Oh yeah? Then why are you doing this?"

"That is none of your business!" Lord Owling flung his wrist, slamming Sky into the wall. Sky stood up.

"Like that hurts." Sky said.

"Don't you dare..." Shad yelled at him.

"Huh? What are you gonna do Dragonboy? You won'teven breath fire. Or shall I say can't." Lord Owling said laughing. Sky clasped her hand together and vines went through the floors of the mansion and tangled Lord Owling. Lord Owling used fire to burn the vines, causeing Sky to get hurt too. Lord Owling flung his wrist down and Sky went flying down to the Mansion main floor.

He sprang, roaring. Even as he sailed towards Lord Owling, the change enveloped him. He struck the man like a battering ram.

Owling toppled. Staring down at him, Shad felt a twisted sense of pity. If his sheer weight didn't kill this creature, the heat from his scales would be scalding him.

"I should kill you!" he roared.

"But you can't. You can't kill me any more than you can breathe fire."

Suddenly, the last person Shad expected had Owling by the throat. "Torn!" he gasped.

Torn:

"I expect a payment, boy!" He roared as He and Owling fell to the ground.

"What are you doing?!"

"Getting myself more money!!" From under Torn's armour there came a flock of black tentacles that took hold of Owling, drilling into his skin. He roared with anger and then hit Torn, Torn flew.

Shad gasped as Torn landed in a crumpled heap on the floor. He turned to lash out at Owling.... but he wasn't there. He'd escaped while Sky and the others were busy gaping.

"Sky, can you help him?" Back in human form now, Shad gestured at Torn. "He saved all our lives."

Sky knelt down beside him. She placed a hand on Shad's forehead.

"No, I can wait. Help him first."

Sky

Sky walked over to Torn. She placed her hands over his armor and green energy came out of her hands. The green energy soon disappeared.

"I-I can't heal him..." Sky said surprised.

"It must be because he is only a soul basically." Ballow said.

"I don't think I can heal him...unless...I use all my energy to give him a human body..." Sky said.

"Do it!" Ballow said.

"Three things can happen: I can go into coma from using too much energy, turn into a human, or...die." I answered. I looked at at Shad and Ballow, their faces had gone down from sadness,

Torn raised himself, painfully, on one elbow. "I'm not worth it," he rasped. "Don't try to save me. You'll only kill yourself."

Shad gulped. He looked over at Sky and mouthed "I love you."

Sky

Sky started to tear. She wanted to do what was right and she knew that was using all her energy to give Torn a real body and healing him.

Sky looked over at Shad and mouth "I love you too." She turned away and put her hand over Torn. A green light illuminated all over Torn's body. Sky felt her energy drain from her body.

The kight disappeared and Torn took off his helmet. He had a face with skin and he was healed.

"Thank you." He said.

"It was my pleasure." Sky said, before going into a coma.

Torn:

He grapped the girl before she fell. "My payment has been given," He said. He carried the girl to the boy. He turned around where Owling had went, he took his axe, and he ran to fight.

"Sky... you didn't have to do that," Shad whispered. Then, turning to Ballow, he said, "Climb on my back as soon as I change; hand her up first."

Ballow nodded. He lifted Sky easily, then took his place on Shad's back.

"We're getting out of here," Shad annouced. He flexed his wings, then leapt for the sky.

Sky

Sky couldn't feel, hear, smell, or anything else for that matter. She was in a coma. She breathed as if she was sleeping, but in a very deep sleep.

In her head all she saw was blackness. She heard her own thought, but no matter how much she wanted to wake up she couldn't. She wanted so much to see her friends, but she couldn't. She tried remembering an image of them, but it was too much for.

What are you going to know? You can't protect or heal them anymore from me. A voice said in her head.

What...? She thought. She heard an evil laugh and nothing after that.

No! Lord Owling! I have to wake up! She yelled in her head.

Writing once a day keeps the voices away, and I've created a blog all about it: Daily Dose.
...and I'm now trying to create a user group based on the idea! Tell me if you're interested!

Panting, Shad touched down in the forest. "Is she any better?" he asked.

"No," said Ballow. His head was hung at a defeated angle. "She may never wake up."

"She must! We have to take her to the elves; they're the best healers in the world!"

Ballow pushed him flat; it was strangely easy. "Not until you've rested. It'll do her no good if you pass out too." He firmly tucked a blanket around Shad. "If I have to, I'll take her myself."
