Lighting flashed as old chairs creaked,
Thunder boomed across the sky
A child cries next to a grave.
An angel flies, trying to save
Across the oceans, across the seas
The darkness creeps
In the souls of man no innocence is seen
But in the eyes of a child, nothing is wrong
Keeping dreaming child, dream away
The worries and problems around
Let thoughts wander far from here
To a land better than this
Pots of gold and little men
Dance and frolic ‘round meadows and
Around the sea and trying to avoid
Being pulled into the current
Hear the sound from far away
Hear its soft, soothing tone
Let it echo throughout your bones
Let it guide you in these dark years
Keeping dreaming child, dream away
The worries and problems that surround
Your very heart, your very soul and
Keep holding back their wings
Gaze deep into the little men’s well
Stare at what you can become
Just another person, trapped without wings
Or break free of black bonds and
Keep dreaming, child, keep dreaming
