Jason

"Where to?" The pilot asked.

Noah looked over his shoulder at Kyle, "Where would they have gone now? Where's their other headquarters?"

"Somewhere in Japan." Kyle replied, "Yentaro's got a place somewhere in Tokyo. That doesn't mean they'll be there, though. If they're trying to hide, they won't stay where we'd expect them to go."

Jason barely registered the orders being given by the two leaders, giving Maisy a concerned look. She'd been virtually silent since someone on the other end had cut off her call from Audi. He put a comforting arm around her shoulders, "You alright?"

Edward-

Yentaro looked at me hard. "Well then... we should get going. No one knows of your arrival and annonymity has been kept."

"Good, we wouldn't want those goodies tracking us down now, but there is one problem."

"What?"

"Maisy turned, she's with Jason and the others."

"Ooh, Maisy with your twin?" Yentaro teased. I growled and shut him up. "Well, hopefully she won't reveal our headquarters. I'm sure Nathaniel knows where to find us."

Yentaro led our group to his limo and opened the door for Audi. I saw her roll her eyes before getting in myself.

**DSF's character, although I'm not sure if he ever posted anything for him. I just checked his profile, he can make bone weapons, mimic any movement he sees someone else do (that doesn't include powers, obviously) and regenerate.**

**we needed someplace else to go to and I thought we could try and bring his character back in. But DSF said he wasn't doing this storybook anymore and gave Yentaro to me. I already have two character so Yentaro is up for grabs. :)**

Maisy

It was a shock to feel his arm against her, one so great that she almost let her instincts kick in. She had to fight to not throw him off or run or... dematerialise someone. That was the scary part. Now that she thought she could do it, she almost yearned to try, just to see... to be sure. It wasn't any good thinking you had an ultimate weapon if, when push came to shove, it turned out to be nothing more than hoax.

"Yeah... I'm fine," Maisy said neutrally. She caught a look in his eye that suggested he didn't believe her so Maisy tried to fight away the feelings of gloom and destruction and she smiled. That was... odd. Perhaps she'd get used to it eventually but it felt queer and uncertain right now. She ran the last few seconds of conversation back through her head.

"Let's sit at the front, Jason. If they've gone to their Japan headquarters, I can direct." Maisy studied the way he nodded. She liked that. There was confidence in that nod, a measure of trust in its immediacy. He led her to the front seats, his arm still around her, feeling lighter on her shoulders than it should. He was a good man and Maisy was starting to think that she could be happy to live without any of her old 'friends'. She started to think she could watch their destruction, be a part of it. Maybe even kill them herself. Even father. Even... Audi.

"I hope Jessa's alright," I said as we walked back to the jet. The guardians and good guys had stopped the chaos in Venice and Kyle told us we were heading to Japan. Noah patted me on the shoudler.

"she'll be fine. If I know Jessa, she's probably annoyed the other side to deat by now."

I smiled, but then if Jessa anooyed Nathaniel too much he would... no don't think that. I sat near the back with Noah and the jet took off. I couldn't stop thinking about Jessa.

Edward-

We waited for Nathaniel to arrive at Yentaro's place. Nathaniel had come with Larella and Antonius as planned.

"Edward, Audi," he said. There was no need to explain. He wanted to talk with Audi and I. We followed him to a back room and recieved icy looks from Nathaniel.

"Audi dear, good to see you. What have you found out?"

Audi gave an innocent look. "About the boy?"

"Of course about him." I could hear Nathaniel's impatience. Audi smiled wickidly.

"He's Larella's brother."

"Is that so?" I couldn't breathe. The sound of Nathaniel's voice gave away all the schemes running through his head. He would torture Larella if given the chance. "Anything else?" Audi looked at me and smirked. No, she wouldn't.

"Edward fancies her."

[Audi Rosario]

"Shut up, Audi!" Edward growled, "That doesn't concern him,"

"You like her, Edward?"

I looked to Nathaniel and smiled, nodding my head to answer since Edward was silent. He glared at the side of my head; I could feel it. It wasn't hard to switch emotions though (focusing on one emotion lets people's grips on the others weaken). I placed my arms around Edward's shoulders and pushed through bliss, he smiled.

"Don't get all mad, Edward," I cooed, "If you two ever get together, Natey here would defininetly want to meet her and make sure she's right for you. We wouldn't want you to get into a gang or drugs or anything!"

I giggled at myself, remembering the soap opera I heard that line from. A dark scowl crossed Nathaniel's face as I let go of Edward and found a seat on the leather sofa.

Another innocent smile crept up my face, "Anything else, Natey?"

Edward-

I stood there stiff, wishing that I could kill Audi on spot. Nathaniel smirked.

"This might just work to our advantage. Larella is on our side, but there has been question of her allegiance. If Edward does feel something-"

"I feel nothing," I hissed and clenched my fists.

"Good, then you would have no problem of finding the whereabouts of Larella's brother. He is the key to my plan."

I felt like I had been kicked in the stomach. Normal circumstances I would have probably enjoyed the job, but something in me was saying no.

"Audi can't do this?"

"She doesn't feel for me the way she does for you," Audi smirked.

"And I have given the assignment to you."

I glared at Nathaniel for a few moments, but eventually nodded and skulked away. I went back into the other room and was face to face with Larella.

"Hi Edward."

Jason

Once they were in the air, Jason left his seat for a few minutes and opened the door to the cockpit. "How long until we get there?" He asked the pilot.

She glanced over her shoulder, "It won't be for a while, Venice to Tokyo will be about a ten hour flight. You might want to make yourself comfortable."

Jason nodded, and made his way back to his seat, sitting down next to Maisy, "Pilot says we'll be about ten hours." She nodded absentmindedly, so he took a deep breath and asked the question that had been plaguing him for some time now. "What were you and Audi talking about? You seemed pretty quiet after her end cut out." He paused, "I mean, if you're okay with talking about it. If it's none of my business..." He held up his hands, "Feel free to dematerialise me." He laughed, trying to break the tension.

Maisy

Her first thought was to just stay quiet, he couldn't make her talk if she just stayed quiet and didn't look at him and... but he wouldn't make her talk. Why was it that the very fact that he'd never forced her to, made her want to share her every thought with him...

Maisy was beginning to wonder if he was manipulating her. In all the books she had read, there was almost always a character who pretended to be good and then betrayed those they were closest to and the only questions was: is it Jason or me?

Where had that business over dematerialisation come from... it had entered her thoughts earlier too, as if it were the most natural thing, as if she'd already concluded that it was possible but when? Maisy couldn't recall even considering using her powers on humans before and yet the thought had suddenly occured to both of them within minutes. It was almost as if they were missing something vital and the change in Audi too. Time had been messed with. It must have been. Something so terrible had happened that time had been reversed. You can't land in Venice, you can't... What happened in Venice?

"I... I think Audi was trying to warn me about something," Maisy said awkwardly. "It feels like... I think time has been reversed. I think something happened in Venice." Maisy didn't dare to look up at him. The punishment for being stupid was always grave but when she stole a glimpse, he looked thoughtful.

"What makes you think that?" Jason asked carefully.

"I've never thought about... about dematerialising people before and I've never told you that I could and yet... it seems as if I have. When we're not concentrating, we let things slip that make no sense and Audi was caught in the time loop too, she said I can't land in Venice and..." you can't join their side! "...and she sounded like her. Without the falsity I mean. She sounded like she meant it."

Antonius - with the other bads-

He sighed And turned to Audi. "He really does like Larella,"
Audi only smiled. "Read his mind did you?"
"Don't need a mind reader for that job... but I wanted to be sure." He smirked.
"Just as long as you leave my thoughts alone Antonius." She said still smiling.

"Sure sure... I would never even think about it." He turned around. "I'll be out shopping,"

"You're always shopping Antonius."

"Well I just happen to like it." HE said and was off to the gun shop a few blocks away.

Edward-

I closed my eyes and pushed past Larella, leaving her with the others. Antonius appeared next to me.

"What do you want?" I asked sourly.

he shrugged. "I'm just going shopping."

I rolled my eyes and stuck my hands in my pockets. "Something's wrong."

"What?" he asked.

"I said something's wrong. Inside."

"Oh, the frozen heart is melting?"

"I didn't say that."

"but you implied it. You had better be careful. Everyone here knows that love gets in the way." Antonius walked out the door and dissapeared around the corner. I sighed and looked up at the sky. Why can't she just stay out of my head?

~Jessa~

My nerves were shot. The man that I feared most was in the same room as me. Blinking, I realized that not only was I terrified; I was bored out of my mind. Deciding annoying Eddy-kins would amuse me, I excused myself, hoping I wouldn't die.

Walking in the same direction of my favorite pastime (Eddy-kins), I ran into a girl who was frowning. I braced myself; when bad guys frown, bad things happen.

"Who're you?" She asked, just as confused as I was. Relaxing, I stuck out my hand-then remembered the lava gloves. I formed them into a lava-rock and put it into my other hand.

"Sorry 'bout that. I'm Jessaand I'm the new girl." I gave her a bright smile, and who are you?"

Now that she mentioned it, it did seem like he'd been living a weird sense of déjà vu, up until the point the focus of both the Bad and the alliance of Good and Guardian had shifted towards Japan. He was sure that hadn't happened before.

He looked over his shoulder. Down the aisle, Noah was talking with Kyle and Kathy about something, looking completely casual. If anyone knew about having come back in time, it would be him. But would he talk about it? Or might that disrupt the time-space continuum or something like that.

"I wonder why he wound back the clock." Jason said, half to himself.

"Huh?" said Maisy, "So you think he did as well?"

"Well, there's no other real explanation for why we seem to know all this stuff. Like how we both thought you could dematerialise someone at the same time. Or how I knew it was Audi calling. I mean, you could call it coincidence or an educated guess, but I agree with you, Noah must have turned things back."

What is a poet? An unhappy person who hides deep anguish in his heart, but whose lips are so formed that when the sigh and cry pass through them, it sounds like lovely music.
