Carson
Kathy looked good and ready to explode at Noah all over again, after all, he’d knocked back her pleas twice now, making it clear that if Jessa wanted to go, she was very welcome to do just that. Carson could see where she was coming from, to an extent, it was a dangerous mission, and Nathaniel wasn’t known for treating spies well. And he wasn’t sure if Jessa was up to it. None of them were, really, at the same time, and Jessa was the most likely of them to defect.
He put a hand on Kathy’s shoulder, “Calm down, there’s nothing more you can do. We’ll all have to find some way to help out here, but screaming isn’t going to help anyone. Especially if it’s you who’s screaming.” He smiled.

The guardians seemed to have found their representative, so what happened now? Did his side just sit back and hope for the best, hope that a spy could stop whatever Nathaniel was planning? There had to be something more they could do, something that would help them stop what needed to be stopped.
Leal beat him to his own question, almost as if she’d sensed it, “What can we do, then?”
