Logan frowned as he followed her. Her mom slammed the door on his face though. He frowned and crossed his arms. He walked around the back of the house and climbe dup to her room sitting on her bed waiting for her to get up there. He listened to her arguing with her mom for a little while then she started to run up the stairs yelling back at her mom. They had been in a fight. She opened the door slamming it behind her.

"Hey." he said softly. "What's she mad about this time?" She spun around and looked at him.

"Your gonna get in trouble." She smiled walking over. He shrugged,

"No I won't, your mom doesn't walk softly at all." He smiled. "What happened?"
"And you wonder why we don't like you!" -Trumpkin

Jessie sighed and collappsed onto the bed, "she saw me kissing you and dragged me in for one of her 'boys are the devil' escapades. I think she'd prefer it if I were a lesbian."

He petted her hair, "I wouln't prefer it. If it helps."

She smiled, "You would."

"Would not, you wouldn't want to kiss me then."

"Good point."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

"Now, if you were bi..." She slammed her fist in his arm. "I was just joking!" He laughed quietly trying not to be loud. "Your hits are a good pain." He grinned kissing her. "And I don't want you kissing on anyone else either."

"You would enjoy it." She chidded.

"No way, I want you to myself." He smiled tracing her jawline with his finger. "And if I have a say in it you will always be with me." He shrugged, "Course I only have a fifty fifty say in it. You got the other half. Acctually you've got 99% of the say in it." He kissed her softly then laid back on her bed looking up at the ceiling. "Am I talkin to much?"

Jessie smiled and curled up next to him, "no. And don't worry about the who I'm with thing. So long as I have a choice in the matter I'll choose you."

"That's comforting."

"Its true too."

I hope so."

There was a noise outside the room. Logan hopped up and skidded into the closet quickly. Jessie grabbed a book and opened to a random page. It was dad.

"Hey Jess."

"Hi dad, come to give mom's defense?"

He shook his head, "nope, just came to say goodnight. And don't worry about your mom, she's just..."

"Psycho."

Logan smiled at Jessie's discription of her mom. When her dad was gone he waited a few minutes then snuck back to her bed laying next to her wrapping his arm around her shoulders. He looked at the book in her hand. Eclipse He smiled. "How many times have you read that?" He laughed.

"A few times." She laughed. He shook his head and opened it to the front page.

"Let's see here!" He laughed kissing her forehead. She chuckled and grabbed the book putting it away then snuggling closer. "What would I Do without you?" He asked softly.

"You'd be fine." She smiled.

"NO I wouldn't, I'd die!"

Jessie giggled, "men have died from time to time and worms have eaten them. But not for love." She was quoting her favorite shakesphere comedy "As You Like It" He caught the refrence.

"Oh Rosalind-"

"Ganinime," she corrected.

"Oh right, shall I go carve some poetry with your name in them on some trees?"

"Not if it means leaving."

"Then I shant."

Logan smiled when she giggled and kissed the top of her head. "I love you." He whispered softly. "Only you could get me quoting Shakespeare." She laughed at that and he kissed her to quite her laugh. It didn't help. He heard footsteps coming to her room and he darted out the window hiding right above it after he closed it halfway behind him.

"What are you laughing at?" He heard her mom ask.

"Just something in my book, sorry." Jessie replied.

"Right." HE heard her mom walking around the room.

"What are you doing in my closet?" Jessie demanded. He heard teh bed shift as Jessie probably got up.

"Making sure that no good boyfriend of yours insant in here!" Her mom replied. "I'm going to have your dad nail that window shut!"

"It was hot in here, taht is the only reason it's open. YOur just paranoid mom!" Jessie replied. "Dad wouldn't do it either and you know it."

"You better shut up or you will never see that boyfriend again. I"m already tempted to move this family back to Texas so your far away from him and your dad is home more."

"You won't!" Jessie growled. "Dad won't move and neither would I!"

"You would have to." Her mom replied. He heard a door slam shut and he waited until he heard her mom go to her room and shut the door there and start to talk to her dad.

"That girl is so rebelious, I'm telling you we have to move!" He heard her say.

"Honey, I think she is fine, and her boyfriend is pretty nice too. I don't know waht your all worked up about."

"They are always alone, I wouldn't be surprised if she came home pregnate!"

"She won't, she's a responsible girl and so is Logan. But if your that concerned I'm sure the compnay will transfer me."

Logan climbed back into Jessie's room.

"What's wrong?" She whispered as he climbed on the bed next to her pulling her close.

"Your mom is afraid you'll come home pregante one day." He said forcing a smile.

"What's really wrong?" Jessie demanded frowning at him.

"Your dad is concidering moving." He said pulling her closer. "I'd have to find a way to move where ever y'all go. I can't live without you. I'm sure dad wouldn't mind the change of senery. He is always talking about how this place reminds him to much of mom."

Jessie curled up next to him and started to cry. Her shoulders shook slightly. Finally she sat up. "Logan will you go home?"

He looked at her worriedly, "why?"

"Because I want to talk to my dad about everything and it woudl be a lot easier if you weren't here so I wouldn't be lying."

He kissed her forehead, "alright love, I'll see you tomorrow and tell me what happened okay?"

She nodded drying her eyes and gathering her courage, this was going to be the showdown from hell.

Logan pulled her face to his wiping the tears from her cheeks then kissing her. "I love you, Jessie." He said softly. He then spun around and disappeared out the window jetting to his house.

*!*!*!*!*!*!*

Jessie slowly got up and walked to the living room where she now heard her dad watching TV. "Did mom go to sleep?" She asked sitting on a chair.

"Yup." Her dad replied looking over at her. "You been crying?"

"Mom said we were going to move." She said point blank. "I don't want to move. I can't move!"

"Why, because of your boyfriend?" Her dad's voice was low to keep from traveling up stairs to where her mom was.

Jessie sighed, "because I love him, I love this town, I love this house I love it here."

"We'll never have any peace unless she gets her way."

"I don't care. Dad...if you move I'm just letting you know I'm going to stay here."

His brows pulled together, "what?"

"I'm not moving, I don't want to switch highschools so late, I'd never make any friends and I wouldn't graduate. I just wanted you to know my opinion and reasons on the subject." She kissed his cheek, "Love you dad, goodnight."

Jessie heard him sputtering behind her as she ran up the stairs and to her room collapsing on the bed and looking up at the ceiling. She smiled when she saw the note pinned to the ceiling that Logan had put there a long time ago. Her parents never saw it and she never took it down.

Sleep tight, love. I wish I could be with you. But I can't be. Sleep well, and I'll be waiting for you in the morning. Love you with everything.

She laughed, it wasn't the most romantic thing, or anything. But it was Logan. He tired his hardest to show her how much he loved her. To keep her with him. He didn't have to try, but he did anyways. He said that one day she would realize that he wasn't worth her. She always got mad at him when he said that. But he believed she was to good for him. He wasn't letting her go if he could ever help it. She twisted the ring on her finger. He loved her. She at least knew one thing was for real in this life. One thing would be steady and normal.

Logan slowly went back to his house, his parents wouldn't care. They wouldn't know either. He used his makeshift invisible ladder to get into his room, he shut the window and collappsed into bed staring up at the picture of Jessie he had taped to the ceiling.

Something about her was too good for this world, too good for him. Not that he was complaining. He was just worrying about the future. He didn't want to lose her, but eventually she would realize it.

Logan got up early like always. The cool summer air hit him as he ran to Jessie's house and climbed up to her room sitting in the far corner. He usually just laid down next to her waiting for her to wake up. But her parents were on edge and he wanted a quick way of escape, so he sat close to the open closet. He got bored of being far from her and moved back over to her knealing next to where her head was so he could roll under the bed if he needed to. He watched her sleep. She was so peaceful when she was alseep. her hair sprawled out around her in perfect ringlits. He sighed as he gently traced her jawline, her lips and then pulled back sitting on the chair.

*~*~*~*

Jessie woke up and yawned pushing her eyes open. She jumped when she saw Logan sitting in the chair. He smiled.

"Sorry." he whispered. "I figured you'd be used to it by now."

"Ya, when your next to me, I'm not used to you just sitting htere staring at me." She said sitting up and trying to fix her hair knowing it would look insane.

"Sorry, I didn't know if you rparents would come up today or not." He smiled walking over quietly and kissing her softly.

Jessie smield shyly, "how early do you wake up to get here?"

"Oh...an hour ago."

"You've been here for half an hour?"

"Forty five minutes, you forget dear it only takes me fifteen minutes all together."

She sighed, "Can you hand me my brush?"

He smirked, "why?"

"Because I want to brush my hair."

"It looks cute"

"It looks insane."

"Insane looks good on you though."

She stood up and got the brush herself, "it does not. You need glasses."

"Not to know you're beautiful."

"I am not. Honestly sometimes I don't know why you waste your time with me somedays."

"Because I love you."

"Well then love makes you blind." She laughed.

"Anyone would tell you just how beautiful you are." He said walking over ot her and taking the brush from her. He ran his fingers through her hair then the brush. "You mind?"

"N-No, but why?" She asked.

"Just figured it be nice to see why you girls like to brush your hair so much." He smiled. "You don't mind, right?"
