I think Jack deserves an award for putting this thing together. And I just have to stress this because it sounds like people aren't getting it - THIS WAS FOR FUN. Do you think we would have the category "Person you would most like to shoot" if it wasn't for fun? Come on, people! And I agree with Jack - the reason the "popular" people got voted for is because the "popular" people were the ones voting! AND the "popular" people tend to be the ones who post the most, so those people are more well-known and therefore come to mind before others.
I think everyone should just chill and relax and have fun with this. Don't pout if you didn't get nominated. It isn't a serious thing, and it doesn't mean you're not good at whatever category. I think most of the members here are amazing writers and excellent members. And hey, if you don't like this kind of thing, then go to another thread. It's that simple. You don't have to look at the nominees, you can just enjoy other parts of the site if you want. *shrugs* It's not really a big deal.
I voted but I wasn't chosen. Heck, if you'd put me as a moderator I'd probably be doing all sorts of stuff for this site not like I already don't and I still wouldn't have gotten chosen. I know it was fun, it's just that who was chosen bugs me not saying they didn't deserve it.

And Mattie, I'm going to have to support Crysi and Jack on this one. This isn't a good attitude to have for something that was done just to amuse us. Like I said before, you should think of it as honouring your peers rather than having your own talents ignored. Besides, if you want to win our respect and have us acknowledge your skills, I don't know about anyone else, but whining about not being nominated has the opposite effect on me.

The only "more fairer" way that I could think of would be making a freakin long time for nominations, or wait for everyone to vote or something. Part of the problem is that not everyone is active everywhere, and that limits who and what they see on the boards.
Well, Mattie, how do you define popular? If you mean they post the most, then it makes sense because people see and recognize them the most (this is especially for the member awards). It gives you people on the site to look up to and I know I look up to the people who were nominated very much.
And I see quite a few people who I don't consider 'popular' (including myself and no offense to anyone)
lol this is such a ridiculous thing anyway, of course the people who got nominated will defend it and those that didn't won't. It's fair play, I say we leave it.

I did agree with you untill you put the word loser in, that's implying it's becoming a competition. Also Crysi of course you expected yourself to be nominated, it was a given, everyone loves you.
Anyway I'm an openly sore 'loser' I allready expressed...but I can take it, other slightly more prominent things such as exams are haunting me right now! So to be honest I really don't care!!
