*just wondering would that have really killed joseph? if it doesn't seem believable I can always have him cut off his head*

Gael-

"No you won't you stupid girl. You're not suicidal." Gael grabbed a fistful of Drake's hair and pulled his head back. He pressed the knife against Gael's neck, "He'll put up a good fight. Go out with honor."

"I swear I'll do it!" She screamed. Gael stepped back from Drake and put his finger to his lips in a thoughtful look. He was eyeing Drake like a piece of art, "I will!"

"Do it then. It would be nice to see someone actually do what they say they will." He played with her. It would ruin his fun if she killed herself. He thought about it some more. She didn't move, "See I told you, you're not suicidal. In any case- Everyone get out!" He screamed. There was a groan of distaste from the group, but one by one they filed out of the room.

Gael tied Alanna to a chair across from Drake. He then made sure the others couldn't attack him from behind by tying them up, he chained Jack to the wall for good measure. He walked back to the table with the weapons on it and tripped over Joseph's limp body. He kicked it out of the way and continued.

"So, Alanna, how shall I do it? Another stabbing would be boring. Be creative." He looked back at Drake, how pathetic he looked now.

"Alanna-" Drake started.

"Shut up!" Gael yelled walking back over to Drake, "Shut up shut up shut up!" He slapped Drake across the face and shook the chair. Alanna started to cry again.

"Quite your crying, it'll all be over...not soon really but eventually it will all be over."

*so now the situation is a little more manegable..maybe teagan or someone could get loose, Jack won't ... he is pretty heart broken right now...plus then it would just be like I was writing the whole thing lol*

***I'm gonna post once more before I stop to let Ayumi post. ***

Alana:

Alana glared at him breathing hard. Not that he had noticed, but the whole time he had been saying she wouldn't make herself bleed she had had her cheek between her teeth ready to bite down on it. She was fully ready to make herself bleed to keep Drake alive. Even if she wouldn't be.

"Gael." She said after taking a deep breath. "I don't think you could keep yourself from killing me if I was to start bleeding." She said. "I know when you feed last. It was a while ago, your little vampire friends talk alot."

"We've already proven you wouldn't." He hissed. She smiled at that.

"Really, because I wouldn't have to flinch to cause myself to bleed." She replied biting ever so gently on her cheek to make the blood break from the vein, but not through the skin, it would hurt for a few minutes, btu it would still prove her point.

***Thanks for waiting. lol Lemme see...hmm... ***

Tegan watched the exchange, but he didn't hear them. He was too preoccupied mentally.

Drake won't tolerate another hit. His lip is already bleeding. Gael hits him again, and its over. Drake will break free, cause chaos... Hell, he may even hurt Alana in the process! I can't let him do that. I can't let him lose control.

Tegan pulled against the ropes, testing them. With enough force, they could probably be broken. He watched Gael rear back and prepare for another strike at Drake's face.

Come on, Tegan. Get free. Get free! Get FREE!

He growled as he unleashed every ounce of strength, breaking the ropes.

Gael-

He could smell the blood inside her mouth. He really didn't want to kill her. Not yet anyways. Not when this was all so much fun. So to take his aggression out he began to hit Drake as hard as he could.

He pulled back to hit Drake another time and Teagan got loose from the ropes. Taegan jumped onto Gael's back. Gael only laughed in amusment. He was much older than this kid, much stronger.

"Haha ha, you think you can beat me?" It was a little cliche, but it seemed an appropriate line at the time.

Gael threw Teagan to the floor next to where Joseph way laying, "When are you all going to learn? Huh? I win. Don't you see?" He picked up a long sword from the table and advanced towards Teagan. But Teagan was quick. He reached over and cut away the ropes with a small knife.

Now Drake was free too. This was going to be fun.

*I think they should get away so that we can have a legit fight with the ancient and all...ps how does the whole ancient stuff work? Like i need a sacrafice or soemthing? btw Jack is completely useless someone is probably going to have to drag him out of there. And don't take Joseph...just a thought...*

***From what I've seen, and I don't know how it works with Breed and everything. You have to give the ancient blood. Like they are 'sleeping' in coffins and there are these things that you let blood flow into so that they wake up. You don't have to kill someone for it, but the ancient will need blood cause he'll be weak at first. ***

Alana:

Alana pulled against her ropes whimpering as her broken wrist screamed in pain. She watched as Drake glared at Gael his eyes showing no sign of anything nice. She pulled at the ropes again and then stopped, it was usless.

"I warned you Gael." She hissed towards him. "

**I won't be able to post until later this afternoon; I have a party today. lol ANyway, the thing with Ancients is that they are sealed up in these giant tombs; no one is supposed to know where they are. You enter the tombs, you'll find giant stone coffins that are also sealed. The ancients are inside. All you have to do is wake them up, hope they don't kill you, and give them a serving of blood to win over their "side". Note: Ancients are far more dangerous than Rogues.

Hope that clears things up a bit. I'm re-reading the series to refresh my memory of things.**

**Sorry for the delay. I ended up getting sick after my party! **

Drake

I glared at Gael, my body trembling in rage. I had seen the bruises on Alana, had noticed her broken wrist, had smelt her fear. My protectiveness was kicking in, now, and spiraling out of control.

"You'll pay for that," I hissed. That was all I could say. My bestial instincts took over, commanding me like a puppet. I lunged at Gael, my mind going blank.

Tegan

Shit. Drake was out of control!

"Jack!" I called. He didn't seem to hear. He was too upset, too heartbroken. He stared at Joseph's corpse. "Jack! Damn it..."

I dashed to Alana's side, slipping the knife through the ropes. They fell away smoothly, and she was free. I shoved her toward the door, where Jenna was waiting. "Go. Get out of here."

"What about you? What about Drake?"

"I'll get him. Just go!"

I watched her run, ready to pounce if anything went after her. Once she was safe, I turned my attention to Drake. This was not going to be pretty...

Alana:

Alana ran with Jenna out of the building. They ran to the car that they had driven here and climbed in locking the doors, not that it would do any good.

"I'm not going to far from them." She said softly watching the door and cradling her wrist to her stomach.

"But if the other rogues come over here we're dead." Jenna replied softly.

"I don't care, I wont' leave." She watched the door waiting for Drake to come out.

Gael-

He let out a terrible roar as he watched Alanna escape. He kicked the chair out of the way and lunged at Drake who was begining to lose control, become primal. Gael concockted another way to have fun.

Teagan lunged at Gael but Gael stopped mid air and grabbed Teagan around the throught, "I'm stronger." he said landing and squeezing Teagan's neck tighter and tighter. Teagan struggled and as Drake began to come at Gael, Gael threw Teagan against the wall making a brick fall out.

He turned and grabbed Drakes fist a second before it would have hit his face, "You feel it now, that animal need to kill. Thats all you are really-" He twisted Drake's arm around his back causing him to wince and growled in his ear, "-an animal. She doesn't love you, how could she love something so arcaic, so evil?" He shoved Drake foward and took him to the mirror, "You're just a pale reflection of me don't you see. Your losing control, your thirsty."

Jack-

I couldn't move, couldn't speak. I was hardley aware of what was going on around me. All I could do was stare into Joseph's lifeless eyes. My best friend, gone. I would never admit that he was ever anything more than my best friend, people would remember him differently. It wasn't anybody's buisness but our anyways. But I loved him.

I could hear Teagan calling my name but I didn't care. I could hear the commotion of the fight, hear Alanna running. I couldn't do anything.

Then everything went quiet. I looked up towards the silence. Gael started talking, he had Drake and Teagan was unconsious next to me. Gael's words didn't make sense, nothing did anymore, but I had to help Drake.

Using my knack for speed I came up behind Gael. The human blood he consumed made him so strong, or maybe it just seemed that way now that everything good seemed to be dead. Lying on the cold floor, staring at nothing. Gael was fast too.

He dropped a struggling Drake to the ground and turned on me.

"Well if it isn't my weak, pathetic, older brother." He punched me a few times in the gut. I couldn't feel it. I didn't stagger. I shoved him against the wall and grabbed his face with my hand.

*so now would be a good time for Drake and Teagan to run away.*

**Sorry it's been a while. You know how school is...**

Drake

I growled; my arm ached. I couldn't tell if anything was broken.

But was it like I really cared at the moment? Gael was thrashing us like rag dolls, and I was in a rage. A rage...that was the last thing I needed. I had to get control, to focus, to maintain my senses...then, maybe, just maybe, I could take him on. It didn't guarentee a win, but it could turn out better...

I looked up. Tegan was semiconcsious. Blood trickled from a gash near his temple. That wasn't good...and Jack. Jack had Gael by the head, slammed into a wall.

"Jack! Get Tegan out of here!" I called.

Jack didn't move. He continued to struggle against Gael.

"Jack!"

Still no response. It seemed like Jack was ignoring me, holding Gael back, giving us a chance to escape. But...but he wouldn't get out in time...

"Damn it all!" I roared, lunging to my feet and barreling toward Tegan. I helped the warrior to his feet and guided him out the door, to the car. Thank God the vehicle was still there. Jenna and Alanna were both inside. Safe. They clambered out, crying out in their shock at the sight of Tegan. I let them take him from me, "Get out. I have to get Jack. I'll follow soon."

"But, Drake - " Alanna started.

"No! You're in more danger here! Now, please, Alanna, I'm begging you...get out and be safe."

I kissed her before she could respond. I turned away and bolted back into the building before I could change my mind. Gael was the focus now, not Alanna. Forgive me, my love.

Alana stood frozen in the spot tears forming in her eyes. "DRAKE!" She screamed, he couldn't go back in. Jenna grabbed her arms and shoved her in the back seat and then jumped in the driver seat driving away. Alana watched the building disappear from site and she slumped against the chair. She had barely gotten to say a thing to him before he took off after Jack. She curled up in a ball and took a deep breath. He was the leader, he had to save everyone. She rocked back as much as she could while her seat belt was on. She wanted him next to her, wanted to feel his arms around her. But she couldn't, she was stuck with not knowing if she would ever get to see him again and the last thing he had said to her was

"No! You're in more danger here! Now, please, Alanna, I'm begging you...get out and be safe." No, 'I love you' no anything but get out. She tried to block any thought from her head, but she couldn't.

He doesn't love you! Gael's voice kept nagging. He could never love you! She chocked on a sob and covered her mouth. Gael couldn't be right, he just couldn't be.

Jack-

Gael was laughing now, as I banged his head against the wall over and over. It wouldn't really cause that much damage to him, he was already mentally screwed. But he was weakening physically. Jack just couldn't stop, he kept hitting and hitting until Gael was a crumpled mess on the floor, laughing and bleeding everywhere.

"You think this is over?" he said as Drake came towards me beconing me to leave, "You think you have won? You are wrong big brother. You will never win."

"Jack, let's go." Drake said as other vampires began to realize what was going on and file in. Gael sat up and flinched, I was pretty sure I had broken a few of his rib bones.

"You may have won the battle, but I will win the war." Gael said as Drake pulled at my arm.

"Come on Jack." He pleaded. I looked one last time at Joseph's body. I tried to look past the blood and the knife wounds and look into his eyes. And for a second, it felt like he was looking back. Like he was telling me to leave, that it just might, maybe one day be okay again.

I followed Drake out into the night air, "Wheres the car?" I asked.

"We don't have time for that, we'll just have to run." He answered.

Tegan

I groaned. Had I lost consciousness? Where was I? Was that my Jenna, so close and stroking my bruised head? I inhaled; yeah, that was her.

I forced heavy lids open. I was staring at the ceiling...of where? I glanced around; we were in a lounge somewhere...

"Where am I?" I finally whispered.

"Oh, Tegan!" she breathed, kissing me briefly. "I'm glad you're okay! When Drake brought you to the car, I..." She couldn't continue.

I pushed all that aside. "Where am I, Jenna?"

She nodded. "At the mansion. We escaped, but...Drake and Jack haven't come back yet. Alana looks...distressed, too. She won't say what's bothering her."

At that moment I smelled them. Drake and Jack. Sweaty, bloody, but alive. On the doorstep. "They're here. They're safe."

They entered the mansion then, panting and muttering under their breath. I gingerly sat up as they entered the lounge, looking like they had given the Rogues a good chase.

I sighed. Maybe I was losing my touch. This was second time I'd been useless in battle. And it hurt.

*wow, I've been away...*

Jenna-

I wiped tears and grime off my face. Tegan noticed and put an arm round me. "Hey, look," he said. "They're alright."

I smiled briefly. "It was so scary, Tegan. What if... what if next time you don't get out? You were so close..."

Tegan gritted his teeth. "I shouldn't have let my guard down."

Jack and Drake approached us.

"Thank goodness," I said with relief. Then I noticed Jack's face contorted with grief.

"Jack... I'm sorry," I said quietly. He shook his head.

"I'm fine," he told me firmly.

*where's Sam, btw?*

***Somewhere in the mansion, he came over with the others. My post will be short cause I don't know what is on Drake's mind at the moment. :P***

Alana:

Alana paced back and forth in the mansion. She was mad and terrified at the same time. She couldn't stop thinking that something was going to happen to Drake, that she was going to lose him. She ignored hte looks she got from Jenna and the now awake Tegan. She didn't care that she was still in that stupid dress. She just wanted to see Drake, alive! If he didn't come back she would kill Gael and hope it was the last thing she ever did.

"They're here. They're safe." She heard Tegan say and she looked towards the door hoping he was right. When the door opened she nearly collapsed when she saw that Drake was alive. He was battered up pretty bad, but she didn't care. She ran over to him and hugged him gently to keep from hurting him.

"Please don't do that again." She whispered softly. "Please don't leave me again!"
