Magic Mixup

Aren:

"It's okay." I said. "Not your fault." I sighed. "Can I ask you another personal question?" I asked, trying to stay calm.

"Breathe." Knight commanded.

I sighed and did as told, taking a deep breathe. I sighed. "Okay. But I'm still mad!"

Tanner~

Tanner nodded, soon figuring he wouldn't see it. "Yes, sure," she answered, looking quickly to the left. A cloaked figure followed, its red eyes on Tanner.

Hurry my little toy. A menicing voice said in her head.

Yes, Master. She answered, looking back into the forest. The cloaked figure was now gone, obviously a trick her master wanted to play.

Aren:

I sighed. "Has he...I mean have you..." I blushed and took another deep breath. "Has he taken advantage of you? Or...have you given yourself to him?!" I asked, looking down at my feet as I walked beside her. Knight followed me, waiting to hear the answer as well.

"If it's yes, I swear I'll kill him! I swear right now that I'll free her, no matter what."

Tanner~

"I have never given myself to him freely, no." She answered, answering his other question with silence, knowing that her master would be listening. She smiled as the market came into view...only two more miles.

Aren:

"And has he taken advantage of you?" I asked again. I was going to kill him! I clenched my fists.

"CALM DOWN!" Knight shouted.

I growled. "One sec." I said to Tanner. I went back into the forest, picked a tree, punched it and turned it into ashes as fire erupted from me. I walked back up to her. I was a bit calmer now. "So...has he?"

Tanner~

Tanner nodded once, looking at the ground and starting off in a quick run. She hated talking to people about it. She hated getting close to people, afraid that they'll become enslaved or killed. She ran faster, not that much farther from the village.

Aren:

I growled and ran after her, grabbing her arm and spinning her around. "Why are you running?!" I sighed and released her. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you. I promise." I sighed. I felt strange. from the moment I had seen her, I wanted to dedicate myself to her. Now I was determined to save and help her no matter what. I sighed. "I'm sorry for prying. can you forgive me?"

Tanner~

Tanner nodded slowly, her master's voice penatrating her mind. 10 lashes. "Meet me in the same spot we met earlier around noon okay? I've really got to get this stuff for Master." She smiled lightly, running into the village market. 20. She quickly bought what her Master needed and ran back out, transforming into a sprite and shooting off towards Master's hut, the items small now. 30.

Tanner pulled to a stop in front a huge cabin, transforming and pushing her way in. She set the items on the counter and began to walk back towards the door. The house was strangely empty. A rough hand grabbed her arm, dragging her into a dark area. "Fifty lashes. Tsk, tsk, tsk. I expected better of you Tanner." A rough, raspy voice growled from the darkness. Something pushed her foward, making her land on something soft. Something else slit through the air, a loud thwak! of a whip echoing through the room. A purple flash of pain flashed passed Tanner's eye as she screamed out in pain. "Did I tell you to scream you whench?" The voice snarled.

"No, Master." Tanner answered weakly, recieving five extra lashes as Master continued Tanner's punishment.

Aren:

I sighed and hopped on Knight. "Think she'll be okay?"

"She talked to a stranger and made plans to meet that stranger later. My guess is that she be punished someone. But how...I don't know."

I groaned and pushed Knight back to the same spot. I growled and started pacing, hitting random trees everytime I felt my anger rise.

Tanner~

Tanner stood weakly as Master walked out. She bandaged the areas where he'd broke the skin and shot out the door, the sky beginning to rain again. She yelled in anger and kicked a tree, sending it down. The thought of standing under it crossed her mind and she deeply considered it...but then thought of Aren. She sighed and continued to the same spot, limping slightly on the foot she'd used to kick the tree.

Aren:

I saw Tanner limping and ran to her. "What did he do to you?!" I demanded, yelling. I was so mad at him!

"I'll kill him!"

"Calm down. nothing you can do now."

I sighed and looked at her, helpless. I pulled her gently to me and wrapped my arms around her softly. "I'm so sorry. how can you get free of your master?" I asked.

Tanner~

Tanner blushed deeply, feeling wierdly content. "He didn't do this. I kicked tree. You can't free me. It's impossible when it comes to master." She shuddered, still confused by Aren's actions.

Aren:

I growled. "Surely there is something! You can't just be his slave for eternity! If he ends up dead, you'd be free, right? What is he? is he a magical creature?!" I growled. knight stretched himself up, towering over everything. I sighed. "There has to be some way!"

Tanner~

Tanner shook her head. "I-I don't know. I tried to go against him once when I was thirteen a-an-and..." She couldn't finish. She hated it but she began to sob, right then and there. She covered her face in embarassment and cried harder. She hadn't been able to cry for over four years.

Aren:

I looked at her and pulled her closer to me, running a hand through her hair. I sighed. Knight went behind her and laid his head on her shoulder. "It's okay. I'm here. And I'm yours." I whispered softly, gently.
