The Ultimate Storybook (1)

Synopsis: This is costing me 515 points (I've had to edit it three times) to create so the least you can do is read it but for those lazy people out there, here's the short version: Do you like storybooks? Do you want to improve? Are you tired of people asking you to write longer, better posts? Are you wondering how to make the most of those five points? Then read on... did you really think you wouldn't have to read the whole post? XD

I hope I've caught a few people's attention. Anyway, this storybook is for everyone but especially for those who would like to improve their technique, whether it be length of posts, grammar or just quality in general.

And to all those who decide to join: this is also a way for me to monitor your writing so make sure you all try very hard. I will give critiques (and possibly 500 storybook funding points) to those who impress me with their improvement. That doesn't mean come here and write terribly and then make a sudden recovery to excellent posts. I've been on this site almost a year now and I like to think that I'm familiar with most who post in the storybooks section so I'm looking for you to come here and write as well as you possibly can. And then I'll pm you with tips, advice or maybe even praise.

Plot: I've found that a simple plot survives longest and while fantasy is very popular, it's not loved by everyone. So how do I create a storybook that will appeal to the majority without leaving out the minority? It's simple. I create more than one. Confused? You should be!

If you're curious, post a character bio. Take your time with it because that character will decide who your writing partners will be and what plot you will be writing around; I will be dividing you into groups.

Name: Alan Stockton

Age: 14

Description: Unusually tall, body is growing at an awkward rate. His feet stopped growing years ago, but his legs won't. Dusty blonde hair covers his scar that he got when he was three by falling down the stairs. Pale blue eyes.

Personality: Whenever Alan is alone, he sings. Oh, he doesn't just sing quietly. He gets those big ole lungs of his into action with his low rumble of a tune. He belts out the loudest possible Broadway smash hit he possibly can. He is witty and sarcastic, willing to be the comic relief of the group.

History: Grew up in Hill Billy Tennessee. Mother and Father owned a large ranch and raised cattle.

Name: Raine Marie Moran

Age: 19

Hair: Wavy blonde/brown hair down to her waist. She usually wears a scarf in it.

Eyes: Grey, framed by large green glasses.

Dress: Faded, sometimes torn jeans, which are too big, and long flowing shirts, t-shirts, smocks etc. She wears worn brown boots and lots of beads and bangles.

Personality: Impractical, spontaeneous, passionate, quick-tempered, stubbourn.

History:Raine lives with her father George and her sister Harmony. Her mother had a break-down three months ago and hasn't been seen since.

Name: Jess Lasing

Age:14 abou to turn 15

Gender:female:

Personality: can be quite held back but at times hyper as can be>.<

Apperance: Nice, flowing white-blonde hair. Her eyes are a peircing, magestic black*ya I know kinda creapy...^_^*

History: Her parents are hard on her. She trys her best to be there best but is getting tyered of it. Will she run away?

Amber

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Hair: Falls to mid-back. Honey Blonde.

Eyes: A simple green, transferring to grey from time to time.

History: It really depends on what time period you place me in. I'll try to keep it simple: She's the daughter of a highly-respected, wealthy count. Or governer, or CEO. Again, all depends. She's an only child, therefore obviously spoiled rotten. Nobody in her life has passed on, therefore she has never experience grief and isn't very well-rounded.

Personality: I'm going to mark Amber half daddys-little-girl, and push that off to the side. The rest of her is a bit bossy, as she's used to having much power. Boy-crazy, like most teenage girls, and horribly, horribly stubborn. She continues to fight with everybody although most of the times her arguments are non-sensical.

She does have some positives, though. Amber's very careful with most of her money, because once in the past he father went broke and she'd blown all her money on clothes. She had to sell all her clothes and live in an unacceptable (under her standards) apartment. She's pretty strong, as if she's hurt emotionally in some way she'll be resilient.

I can't wait for this to start!

Age: 20
Height: 5'9"
Build: Slender
Eyes: Grey
Hair: Brown, thick, a little past shoulder length, usually in a low pony-tail.
Complexion: Pale, white

Appearance: Pretty average young woman as far as looks. Appears younger for her age and is often thought to be only 18.

Weapons: The Almighty PenSword. A one of a kind creation of my own stemming from the commonly asked question, "Which is mightier, the pen or the sword?" Well, I use both:
pen-sword - (pĕn sôrd) n.
1.) A weapon consisting of a long pointed blade having a cutting edge and a pen set into the hilt.
2.) An expression of force, as in war, also used as military power or jurisdiction by signage of documents with ink.

Personality Profile: Quiet, reserved, and serious. Can open up and be joking and light-hearted with close friends. Very loyal to close friends. She is very wise, though no one quite knows to what extent. *more might be added later*

Age: 15

Description: 5'5, Average, red cropped hair, gauged ears, hazel/green eyes

Personality: Fun,smart, quick tempered when told what to do. She's a good student at school, but doesn't get involved too much, and doesn't like sports. She's claustrophobic and often has anxiety attacks(panic attacks). She loves music; lives for it.

History: Parents divorced when she was three, she's lived with her mother ever since. Now, her mother is remarried and she goes to a new school, which she's been attending for 2 years now. She often tends to make more guy friends than girlfriends, because she was a tomboy when she was younger.

Name: Lucinda Bolls

Age: 15

Personality: She's totally outgoing. She's a daredevil and always will be. Loves her friends and likes for them to be around a lot; though she has her moments where she just wants to be left alone. She has a secret side to her that no one knows about. She doesn't tell anybody but she keeps a journal of thoughts, poems, and short stories.

Apperance: She has dark brunette hair that flows down to mid-back. Her eyes are a tantalizing aqua color. Her skin is pale but in a pretty, delicate way; like a porcelain doll. You usually see her dressing in graphic tees with worn jeans and her signature old, black converse.

History: She lives in Ameron with her mom, dad, two younger sisters and older brother. She has a bit of a testy relationship with her mom. When she needs someone to talk to she either turns to her dad or brother.
She is a little excited and a little scared about being chosen to seek a mage with some other companions.

Power: She can control the element, water. Considering she has just come into the power she can only do small things like shifting or moving it around. She hopes that her power will grow a great amount. She's heard of people with the same abilities that can turn water into ice, boil it, and even become water.

Name: Lillith Blaine (LB)

Age: 14

Race: Were-wolf

Description: She's tall. She's has long black hair that reaches her mid-back. She's slim, masculine, and curvy. She has heterochromia...one eye is a sharp, bright blue and the other is a bright green.

Wolf Form: She is black wolf with patches of white here and there. She still has the blue and green eyes.

Personality: LB is a daredevil. She loves to try knew things...which makes people think she's weird. One time she even jumped out a ten foot tree when she was six and broke both her legs and her collarbone...along with all the fingers on her right hand. She is extremely popular and a huge sports freak and tomboy.

History: Both parents died and left the family heirloom in her possesion

Weapon: A long, heavy sword that feels extremely light, but only to her

Name: Lacy Delanu

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Basic structure: Very normal- 5'5, lean because of a high metabolism, not muscular, oval face, olive skin.
------Hair: Short, light blonde hair
------Eyes: Has heterochromia- one eye is light gray and the other is emerald green.
------Other: Has a strange tattoo on her left hand

Personality: Lacy is very free spirited. She likes to do what she wants, when she wants to. usually bites the hand that feeds her, very mischievous.

History: Grew up in a normal family with three other siblings. Likes to go on journeys and fight with fellow knights and mages. Skilled but was never good enough to make high ranks.

Power: Can see things for what they really are because of her heterochromia

Name -- Arabella

Age -- 17

Race -- Vampiress

Appearance -- Long, black hair with natural purple streaks. Violet eyes that are also completely natural, and very odd. They change shades depending on her mood.

Personality -- I try not to give away too much in this, but if it needs fixed just let me know. Is extremely stubborn, but that's usually because she's sure she's right. Is a born leader. Is also hopelessly romantic, which causes her a lot of heartaches.

History -- Her father was abusive, and brutally murdered her mother. When he moved in on her, her older brother, Random, stepped in, killing him. Random was tried, plead self-defense, and is now lives with Arabella. They work with what they've got, and make the best of life.

*Well I'm interested. I've always enjoyed a good adveture/ love storyboard. Don't really care though if its fantasy or not ^_^*


Name: Edward Haimon (Greek for "Bloody")

age: 19

-84738324 ) his old body had short blond hair, with bangs that angled just barley above his eyes. He was tall and tan skin. Now he has long red hair, and tan skin. He is still tall, with red-brownish eyes.

personality: Kind, thoughtful, trusting and brave. He is nothing but a lier, pretending to be happy when he is really missurable. Edward hates people who mope around thinking thier life sucks and life isn't worth living. Edward doesn't really hate anyone, all the hate in his heart is dedicated towards one person- his father. Who took everything from him. His life, his family and friends. his future. Edward now only wants revenge, his heart is hollow, while he has a golden outer shell.

history: Edward had a happy life, living in a small town near the ocean. He spent most of his time walking along the beach, exsploring the near by woods, and going to down town with his mother and sisters. But one day his father freaked out and killed his entire family, even Edward. Edward's restless spirit roamed the land endlessly, until he found the body of a boy who had died. So Edward took his body, slowly but surely his body is rotting. Now he wonders the land looking for his father, and take his revenge on him.

Nickname: Shy

Age: 14, almost 15. He's been in foster care for nearly 4 years.

Gender: Male

Appearance: Dark brown hair with sunkissed blonde highlights. 'Just come in from the beach' hair. Like his girlfriend's had her hands all in it. If he had a girlfriend that is.
Rich, radiant blue eyes. The kind you look twice at.
Average build for a 14-near-15-year-old, slim shoulders, thin but strong arms and legs, slim waist. No tan, which is surprising, since he is always outside. Usually wears graphic t's (usually light blue, emerald green, or flourescent yellow, lol) and torn jeans that have seen better days.

Personality:[b] Shy is anything but shy, unless he's around adults. He's very reckless, very wild and rebellious. He's street-smart, and very cool and calm in danger. He puts on a front, and tries to make you think he's tough and strong, when really, he's only a boy, and a hurting boy at that. When he's around adults, he's very quiet and withdrawn, but it's easy to see a smoldering hate just under the surface. If you get close to him, you realise that he is VERY vulnerable. But it takes a long time to get close.

History: He and his little brother, Jason grew up with only their mom, Michelle. Their dad had left after Michelle had Jason, saying he just couldn't take it anymore. What 'it' was...well, no-one knows. Shy was 4 at the time. Their mom was great for about 4 years, but then she got laid off at work and started drinking and smoking. Suddenly, she was constantly berating and belittling Shy. When she wasn't yelling at him, she was depending on him, so much that it was unhealthy. She would yell at him, scare him to death, and then when she realised what she was doing, she would be all over him, hugging him and kissing him and begging him not to hate her. She would come home late at night from looking for jobs, and take him from his bed and cling to him, crying all over him. He was her comforter. She told him he owed her his loyalty and his love because she raised him, and she never let him forget it. She expected him to be the man of the house, and be the strong one. But he was only a boy.
They moved constantly, until finally they settled in a run-down hotel in the bad part of town.
Pretty soon (by the time he was 10) she started bringing home boyfriends, and they soon took Shy's place. What's more, they began abusing him, and treating him like little more than a dog. Sometimes they would stay for weekends, and he would get beaten up once or twice. As soon as they'd leave, Michelle would be all over him, begging his forgiveness. He'd tell her he'd forgive her, but in reality he was just bottling up the pain and emotions. Jason was all he had. They were very close, so close they sometimes thought that their minds had to be connected, like telepathically. Jason would always laugh when Shy said that. Jason had always been the more sensible of the two, even though he was younger.
Pretty soon, Shy's teachers began to notice the bruises, and one of them called DSS. The boys were taken from Michelle, and placed in seperate homes. Shy was 11, Jason, 7. They haven't seen each other since. It was very traumatic for Shy, but, as he had learned from living with his mother, he took the pain and stored it away. But keeping all that pain inside soon made him bitter and rebellious, and no foster home could take him. He was classified as hard to place, and constantly moved around. Most of the homes he stayed in didn't truely care about the kids, they were just in it for the money. He was bumped back and forth until he was staying in about 9 different homes a year.
That has caused him to be the bitter, rebellious, reckless person he is now, because he knows he can get away with anything.

He's still very young, and small, but, as most people know if they've ever worked with troubled kids, he's much more grown-up than he seems.

Age: 14
Description: Medium weight and height. By appearance he would appear normal except for the fact that he never go's anywhere without his Yankees hat. He wears hawiian shirt.
Personality: He is not popular but is not a geek either. He is sarcastic to the point of being annoying. But he show's respect to anyone that gives him respect.
History: Grew up in Alaska, He can almost survive any cold and is a great fisher from his Father.
His Mother died when he was 10, but he was taught one lesson in life that he takes by heart from his Dad," Death is what we all have to do. We have to live as much as we can and when you die, I want you to make anyone dear to you understand that."

Other: Wants to become a astronaut

Age: 20

Eyes: Steel blue with specks of grey in them.

Appearance: Tall around 6', tanned from hours out in the sun, huge muscles from working. Black hair.

Personality: He's really sweet and kind. A great listener. He tends to blend in. He's very quiet and reserved. only speaks if he has something worth saying. He's very respectful. He goes the extra mile for others. Hard working. Truthful. he would never cheat on anyone. A perfect prince charming.

History: He loved the sea, so at the age of 14, he packed his bags and sighned on with a ship. He soon became a favorite of the Captain, and just kept being promoted. By the time he was 19, he had been promoted to second mate. He aspires to have his own ship. He has one sister who he adores with all his heart. His family owns a tavern back on shore, and he writes to them constantly. whenever he has the chance, he goes back and visits them, showering his sister, aned now widowed mother with gifts.
