Battle axe can't write
Nor can it bring the wealth you
Desperately need.

To buy yourselves a
Paper I smudged with dung, I'll
give you a penny.

Too bad you aren't good
With the metaphor, you must have
words coming from your skull.

Words come from my heart.
And metaphors bow before
My pawns; my haikus.

You kids fight with words
Can you even raise your fists?
How about a duel

<argh syllable counts are frustrating>

Poets don’t duel. Words
Are sharper than swords. It ends
war fists can’t attain.

I partake language.
My palace of alphabets.
I am queen, and you?

Perhaps a battle
Is not at all needed here
Can we call a truce?

I don't sign treaties
Unless you are in for a
Sneak attack by dawn
