"Everyday," she sighed, "I wish I could stay in a place like this and never go to another photoshoot or concert again. Unless...it was a photoshoot with you," she smiled lightly.
I smiled at her. I was about to mount when I heard someone call my name.
"Johney dear!"
"Johnathon!"
I spun around and stood in shock looking at my parents. I flushed. "Mom, dad, I thought you were busy."
"We were, but we made it! And guess who we found? Your wonderful brother! He was so kind and gracious to show us around! And I've heard he's been such a big help around here!" my mother gushed.
"My strong boy. why couldn't you be more like Ryan?" my father asked.
I growled. "Yeah, bro, why can't you be more like me?" he smirked.
"And who's this?" my mother asked, indicating Dusty.
Before I could answer, my brother chimed in. "This is my new girlfriend. Bro was nice enough to wait here with her while I helped an old woman cross the street." He smiled, then mounted the horse that I was going to ride, and leaned over and kissed Dusty on the cheek. "Isn't that right sweetie?" he asked, throughly enjoying himself as I glared up at him. "Bro's just jealous." he whispered loudly, and my parents nodded knowingly.
Dusty frowned and glared at him. "Like hell I'm your girlfriend." She growled, "And you dare kiss me again I'll bruise that face of yours." She replied getting off the horse and grabbing Johnathon's hand and tugged on it.
I laughed. "Oh come on angel. we had a fight." I told my parents. "She was mad because I couldn't pay for dinner. and now shezs trying to date Johnathon to make me jealous."
"Oh, honey," my mother chimed in, "your going after the wrong guy! My Ryan is a perfect gentleman!"
"You know how women are." my dad told me. "They get upset at the tinest little things."
Johnathon:
I heard my brother and dad laugh. I glared. "And I just think she's the most wonderful thing to happen to me." Ryan said seriously.
"Awh! That's so sweet!" my mother sighed.
"And the most beautiful, even if she was covered with mud." Ryan continued.
I had had enough of all this "Especially at nigt, right bro?" I asked sarcastically.
"I think she's beautiful all the time..." he said with fake confusion.
"Johnathon!" my mother scolded. "Just because you have dirty thoughts, doesn't mean your brother does!"
Dusty stood there surprised. She looked at the two adults in front of her. "I'm going for a ride. Johnathon, if you want to ride please come." She mounted the horse and looked down at Ryan. "Go to hell!" She spun the horse around and raced down the beach anger rising in her. She had never been great with people, ever.
I chuckled. "She'll get over it. Bro, you'll talk to her, won't you?"
Johnathon:
I glared and nodded, mounting the horse and racing after her. I caught up with her. "Can we talk?" I asked. she was mad..I wanted her to be able to vent to me. I wanted to hold her and apologize, but all that's hard to do on the back of a horse.
Dusty looked at him. "How could they be so stupid?!" She demanded. "I wanted to punch him so bad, but I didn't want to get in trouble. Boy, he better be glad my dad ain't up here, there wouldn't be anything left to punch!"
