Shiro-

He yawned, totally asleep. Then a girl walked over to the tree- it was shin. She knelt down and looked and Shiro. She blushed.

"Wow, he's handsome." She whispered as she sat besides him.

Persephone:

She wasn't sure what had called her to Merick's home so abruptly, maybe she was getting too close. But if she hadn't gotten there Caelin would have ripped him to shreds. Merick smiled from the other side of the room, leaning on a mantle popping his broken wrist back together. He wiped some of his black hair from his eyes before placing a sword back on the wall across a coat of arms. His family had been scottish, he had told her once. THe night he was sired, as in became a vampire he killed them all. But not out of hatred, out of confusion. He had regretted it his whole eternally damned life and would have rather died than become a vampyre. Cailen suddenly passed out and Rydia rushed to him. Persephone stayed back not wanted anything to do with either of them. She didn't want the coven back together, it would surely only end in unhappyness as in last time.
"Persephone," he said in his scottish bur, "d'ya mind tellin me what the hell is goin on here lass?"
Rydia looked up at Merick then over at Persephone.
"She should go back to your place Seph." She said using magic to lift Caelin off the ground and out the door.
"You go back, I'll be along in a minute." Rydia cast a dark look at Merick and then headed out the door and into the woods.
"Sorry about that." She said, cursing herself for taking orders and complying to Rydia once again. She would listen to all of them again, she was younger, she didn't have much choice.
"S'okay." He said moving swiftly across the room, "Who are they?" He looked out the side of the curtain and towards the woods.
"Members of my coven." She said wrapping her arms around herself, it was always just a little bit colder when Merick was in the room.
"Coven?" He was still looking out the window.
"Yeah, there were about thirteen of us. But it broke up when I was younger, nine I think. THey were sort of my family and then I had no where else to go so I came here and found the cottage."
"I see." He closed the curtain and looked at Persephone.
"I should go. I might not be in town much longer." She said solenmly.
"What d'ya mean?" A concerned look crossed his face.
"Rydia is trying to get the coven back together. It is quite inevitable that I will comply." She replied, opening the door and looking back at Merick one last time, not sure if she would see him again, not sure she wanted to think about how it would be if she didn't.
All you need is 20 seconds of insane courage, and I promise you something great will come of it.

Keleria

Crawling beneath the shrubs Keleria, her hands tenderly holding the pouch out in front of her, approached the clearing silently. Before she left her safe hiding place she looked carefully around her, making sure no one had seen her secrets. Reassured that there were no watchers, she moved carelessly out into the open, and towards the small shelter at the other side. Entering the hut, she placed her package on a side bench and walked towards the simmering couldron on the hearth. She gazed hungrily at the concoction inside, and stirred it impatiently.
It never used to take this long for the others. It should be thick by now.
she moved away from the potion, and took the pouch into her hand, emptying the contents onto her hand. Several herbs fell out and lay in her palm. She sighed before placing them carefully back in the bag. I can't put these in yet.
Suddenly, she heard a sound at the door and quickly drew one of her daggers, crouching down ready for attack. As the door opened slowly, she saw a familiar hand appear through the crack, and she relaxed slightly.
"Keleria, what are you doing in here?" an old woman entered the hovel.
"I should be asking you the same thing, how did you know I was here?" Keleria still hadn't moved from her position.
"Don't you get coy with me, I know you like the back of my hand, and I know where you go," though the woman spoke with confidence, she glanced continuously at the steaming couldron.
"You shouldn't be here, Moira. I don't want you interfering"
"With what? Your little experiments? You're too young to be playing with magic, and I doubt you should be doing it without a guide."
"I'm 19, herb-woman, and stronger by far than you. You're not even part of the coven."
Moira sighed, "No Kely," Keleria glared at her, "I'm not; and neither are you. They collapsed before you were even initiated, you can't keep affiliating yourself with them."
"I was one year off!" Keleria shouted, "One year Moira! I was one year off becoming part of the most elite group of witches this age has ever seen! But no! The humans had to step in and break us apart! They know nothing of what we did for them, they don't know how we helped!"
Moira sighed again, "humans didn't create this tragedy, your precious seperators did that. On day you'll understand that," and with that, she left.
Only when Keleria could no longer hear the retreating footsteps did she completely relax. Then she too left the hut.

Aurora

Aurora lay in her bed awake, keeping an eye on the clear sky outside. Restlessly she turned from one side to the other, trying to somehow get some sleep. She hadn't slept propperly in a few weeks and it was starting to worry her. Jsut like this endless snow and cold was troubeling her. What was causing it? She had spent all afternoon searching her private library for hints just to find that nowhere in her endless shelves of books there was even one where unnaturally long winters were even mentioned. This was strange. But not only was it strange, but it was also affecting the humans. Not that she'd care for them, pitifull, pathetic creatures the were. But still, it was interesting.

She rolled around again, to be able to see the stars once more and drifted off in to a light sleep, that was not in the least restorative.

Aurora stood outside a small wooden cottage in the woods. The lights in one of the room was light and three people were sat around a table in the center of the room. She walked closer up to the window and slightly gasped at what she saw:

Rydia, Persephone and Calean were sitting 'round a table in a small, simply funished kitchen, obviously arguing over something.
She was surprised at how glad she was to see them and stood there completely lost in the image of them. For she knew she had to enjoy this moment, because it was absolutely against the odds that this was ever to happen. And if it would happen, then surely without her. She was not to reunite with the rest of the coven no matter what. First of all she knew of a few of them that had become utterly selfish and greedy, having nothing in mind but profit and silly things like endless youth or power. All the things those pathetic humans craved for, but would never achieve.
And why would they want to reunite at all? To aid the filthy creatures that called themselves masters of nature? There was simply no way.
But since this was all hyothetical she just sighed and studied their faces.

Astonishing what seven years could do, especially Persephone had gone through a nearly miraculous change -

"Ma'am?"

Aurora's eyes flew open and she bolted up in bed.

"Ma'am, there's a young lady outside who seeks to speak to you," the maiden at the other end of the bed said, anciously watching for her mistress's reaction. Seemingly sacred of her.

"Go fetch my violet dress, Sophie and tell the guest to wait in the saloon. I will come to greet her in a moment."
If you don't know where you are going, any road will take you there. - Lewis Carol (1832-98 )

Serenity, you need to write an introductory post so that the other writers know where your character is and can start to get a feel for your personality. Then we'll start to bring everyone together. Also, could you change his age to nineteen? All the members of the coven need to have been at least nineteen for the storybook to be logical. Thanks.

Welcome, ambercoultis. Via created a very helpful article on how to create a character here that you might want to check out or you can just use my profile as a base. Remember to have her at least nineteen if she is a witch and if not, no younger than fifteen please.

If amber creates a member of the coven, that leaves just one more place in the coven.

Rydia

Caelin was already conscious before Persephone returned and the three of them crowded around the table where a detailed map was spread from corner to corner. It appeared to be quite ordinary if the small, white lights were ignored but once seen it was hard not to watch as they crept through towns and villages or occasionally the countryside.

"And what's that for?" Persephone asked, her voice sharp but at the same time more inquisitive than unruly.

"These are ours," Caelin realised. "And those are everyone else?" He traced the path towards the nearest light and as he did, the mud track and then the village grew larger, filling the whole parchment and revealing exactly which building the stationary dot resided in.

"You always could find us so easily," Persephone mumbled irritably but there was a touch of respect as well. Rydia smiled and collected the map, tucking it into a slot on her belt.

"The coven needs to be re-united but we also need strength. Only come with me if you're completely certain that you wish to help."

*sorry, I completely forgot about this! I'll post an introductory paragraph thing, then if you want to bring me in, by all means, do*

Athene-

She had been brewing a potion for when the little boy came running to the door. "Mama, she's gone into labour!"

Athene had already been packed for this birth, and was glad it had come in the daytime.

"Just a minute," she said taking up the pack. It wasn't much, the usual herbs, a silver knife, clean white linen. There were some ingredients, however, that a normal midwife might not carry. All the better for it, Mistress Fulham never served a full term, the old blind wise woman whom she had taken over from had told her, and she had lost the last child, eight years ago. This was probably her last chance and Athene didn't want to see the Fulhams disappointed again, she was determined to see this baby safe.

She reached the cottage and as was tradition, shooed all the males outside, then set to work.

Keleria

Frowning, Keleria looked at the shapes created by the stones she had thrown. the patterns confused her, and she struggled to interpret their meanings. Maybe Moira's right, I do need a guide. she thought, before shaking her head in frustration and throwing them again. They ended up in exactly the same places, so she let them settle then tried again to understand them.

"These mean sickness," she muttered to herself, "and these mean a stirring," she sat up quickly, "a stirring of what!"

looking again at the formation, she noticed a scratch on one of the rocks. NO! It can't be!

She stood up and moved to the fire place. The couldron was removed from the hearth, and now sat on the ground by it, cold and empty. Turning it upside-down Keleria sat on it. I'd know that sign anywhere, but how did it come to be on that stone!

For the stone was in a central part of the "stirring" arrangement.

And the symbol on it, was the symbol of the coven.

Athene-

It was an easy birth, thank the mercies. We cheered as the baby boy was born, I cut the cord with my silver knife, then warmed him up, cleaned him off, wrapped him in cloth and gave him to his mother.

The women congratulated Mistress Fulham and left. They sent her husband in.

"Will he be alright?" he asked me sharply as I cleaned and tidied the room.

"He'll be fine, he's a healthy little thing. But listen to me, you:" I said to his wife. "You are not to get up, not for days yet. You can send this one on errands. Do you understand me?"

"Won't you stay?" he asked. "I'd like to get you a drink."

"No," I answered, handing Mistress Fulham a pot. "This will help with the pain. I'm sorry, but I really need to get to the woods before twilight ends, it's a crescent moon tonight, and I need to get some plants for Amanda, the girl across the valley. But you'll have my full attention tomorrow."

I kissed the mother and the son, hugged Master Fulham and went to the border of the forest.

Persephone-

Persephone paced in front of the table muttering and watching as Rydia rolled up the magicla map and put it back in her pouch.
"I will follow you." She said. She knew that no matter how much she wanted to stay here, no matter how much she thought it was a bad idea for the coven to reunite, she would follow. She would follow because she longed for the only family she had ever known back again.
"What d'you mean? We're leaving now." Rydia looked back at Persephone from examining Caelin who seemed to be not all there, arguing with something in his hand.
"No you are leaving now, I have things to take care of." She had every intention of keeping her word, but she had loose ends to tie up.
"You don't owe that vampyre anything." Caelin seemed to sneer. Perseohone threw him an odd look before returning to her pacing.
"Trust me Rydia, please?" She said sincerely, waiting for Rydia to make up her mind.
