Time

Lynelle

She shook hands with Mac.

"I've gotta run, need to pick up my car from the repair shop, and get some stuff from the store before it closes. See you around?" She asked

Mac--

"Sure, I can give you a ride to the repair shop if you want." he said, are you insane, she isn't going to agree she barely knows you.

Lynelle

She thought for a moment...there was something...something about this man, that she could trust.

"Sure" She said, she also new that if any trouble came, time could be frozen easily, so she could get away.

Mac---

Mac almost stepped back surprised, but he smiled instead. "Alrighty, come on." He led her to his truck and climbed in. He started it and they headed. "So, why is it in the shop?" He asked trying to start a conversation.

Lynelle

"So, why is it in the shop?" Mac asked.

"Someone was speeding, running from the cops. He crashed into me, and caused a big wreck." She said. "My car was pretty bad, so thats why its in the shop." She added.

Mac---

"Are you ok?" He asked looking over at her. "Speed racers are kinda stupid." He said frowning. How had she managed to get in a wreck with one and had come out of it reasonably ok.

Lynelle

"Yeah, I came out with just some scratches and bruises.." She said. Lynelle was hoping that conversation would end there, she didn't want suspected of anything, like being a manipulator...even though she was.

"Do you have a job?" She asked, changing the subject.

Mac---

"I work on cars, rebuild old ones. Work on new ones." He smiled, "I like old trucks better. Pretty much I rebuild and work on things." He smiled. "I'm one of the fastest at my job."

Mostly cause I can stop time. He didn't dare tell her though.

Lynelle

"Oh, thats cool. I'm an assistant teacher in a science class, and I have a part time job at Radio Shack." She said.

Mac----

"I never was good at science." He laughed, "Guess you know a lot about tecknowlogy though." He smiled. "What shop is it at?" He asked as he got close to where all the shops were."

Lynelle

"Jack's auto body and Repair." She said. When they got there, she thanked him and got out of the car. When she stepped on the sidewalk, she was met right away by the owner of the place, Jack.

"Greetings, Lynelle. It turns out, your car isn't ready yet." Jack said.

"Excuse me? I was called down here for nothing?" She asked.

"It'll be ready the day after tomorrow, at the soonest." He replied. She bit her lip, and stopped herself from replying. Instead, she started walking away, towards where her house is.

Mac---

Mac stepped out of his truck. "Lynelle, wait." He called. She stopped and looked at him. He turned to Jack.

"Mac, long time no see." Jack smiled shaking his hand.

"There isn't any way to speed up the repair on her car?" Mac asked,

"Well, I could help work on it and finish a few other veichles later." Jack rubbed his jaw, "But the soonest it would be done is tomorrow. I have to order a few parts and probably wont get them in by then though." Mac nodded,

"Alright, if you need anything tell me." He turned to Lynelle, "I'll give you a ride." He smile.d

Lynelle


A small grin came on her face.

"Alright" She said. Lynelle walked back to the truck and got in. "I live on 5th street" She added. Mac started the engine of his truck and they made their way to 5th. Once they made it on 5th, they slowed down.

"The house right after this one, on the left." She said. After a moment, Mac pulled in.

Mac----

Mac looked at the house. He didn't want to let her out, he wanted to know more about her. "Here, here's my number. If you need a ride anywhere just give me a call." He smiled handing her a business card. He didn't want her to leave though, even though he knew she would.

Lynelle

"Thanks," She said. "After all you've done for me, I should pay you back. Would you like to stay for dinner?" She asked
