Caralina---

Caralina saw her brother's truck parked in the parking lot. This wasn't going to be fun. She sighed, she'd have to face the music sooner or later. She followed him in ignoring the looks she got from some of the students. She was more concerned about her brother, who was standing at her locker.

Ryan:

I saw her brother standing there. he looked furious. "Should I take off before I get my face flattened?" I asked her. I didn't know if it would be better to stay with her, or leave her alone. I really didnzt want to get her into any more trouble. I sighed and waited for her to tell me what to do.

Liz~

Liz sighed as her friends pasted the remaining pictures to lockers. They now had a back ground of school. "I don't like this Liz," Grace said from beside her, "It's not right."

"You don't think I know that?! God! I do one thing wrong and my dad goes to jail. It's them or the cops." Grace fell into step behind her as they handed out the remainder of the pictures and walked into Biology.

Caralina---

"It's up to you. I kinda suggest you get to class though." She said, her brother was FURIOUS. Ryan nodded and walked to class.

"Something you want to tell me?" Brandon, her brother, demanded.

"Like?" She asked crossing her arms.

"This!" He said tossing a picture to her. She didn't need to look at it to guess what it was. "WHere were you last night? You never came home! Come on Lina, you barely know this guy, how do you know he isn't out to use you?"

"I just do, you don't know him. If YOU hadn't abandonded me here, maybe none of this would've happened." She replied,

"Oh so now it's MY fault?" He asked, "Lina, I thought you were smarter then this. If I didn't want to stick around I'd ask dad to move us again."

"NO! You can't do that." Caralina nearly sobbed.

"Stay away from him." With that Brandon turned and left. Caralina grabbed her books and hurried to her class.

Ryan:

I was upset. no, I was beyond upset. Getting the teachers against us was one thing, but the whole school was another. I saw Liz in the hallway. I grabbed her arm and twisted it behind her, making her wince. I pulled her off to the side until everyone was gone.

"I'm going to be late to class!"

"Since when do you care?!" I laughed sarcastically. "How could you do this?!" I demanded, indicating the pictures. "It's not like we were doing anything wrong!" I screamed. I let her go. I shouldn't be mean to her, just because I was upset. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I just want to know why. why did you do this?!"

Liz~

"At first it was just a joke. I really didn't send it to the teachers or my father or any of my other friends. Just you. We were planning on teasing you like we always used to b-but then you came over all angry and puched Tin," Liz mummbled quietly.

"Tin got really angry and asked me to do a bunch of crap to the picture to make it look really bad and to post it around school. I said no and he got angry. H-he said if I didn't do it...h-he'd tell the cops about my dad." Other than Tin and Grace, Ryan also knew about Liz's abusive father. "I-I couldn't let him do that so I did all this. Sorry," she turned sharply and walked off.

Ryan:

"Liz, I'm sorry. I suppose I just automatically thought it was you." I sighed and ran my hands through my hair. "Your dad is going to murder me and Carolina." I sighed. "Why do you hang around with such jerks?" I asked teasingly. I didn't want to make her feel any worse. she didn't do anything too bad. I sighed. Then frowned. "Do you know where I can find Tin?"

Liz~

"One, my dad wouldn't lay a finger on an honor student like you. And with Carolina being new I'm sure he will leave her alone." She stopped to think "Tin's probably in the gym, either drinking some canned beer or smoking. I wouldn't go fight him alone. He's got a few guys that follow him alot. I'll come with you so you don't get hurt if you go."

Ryan:

I laughed. It was true. Her dad, along with every single teacher, would just turn a blind eye to the pictures, no matter how bad it looked. "Liz, I won't go find Tin now. Please, do something for me? As an old friend?" I smiled at her like I used to do when I was little. we had been best friends back then, but had gone separate ways when we entered junior high.

She rolled her eyes and looked at me. "What?"

"Be careful, okay? Especially around Tin. He wouldn't think twice about double crossing you. Please?" I used the "puppy dog eyes" that I used to look at her with.

Liz~

"Fine," Liz told him, walking away. She bit her lip as she walked into the gym.

Ryan:

"You can't go in there alone!" I rushed after her. No matter how horrible she had been, I wasn't about to let her get hurt. I knew that she didn't want it to go this far. I strode beside her. she had been right. In front of us was Tin, and he looked drunk. This was not good!

Liz~

Liz shoved Ryan out of the gym and shook her head. "I'm fine. All you'll do is get in the way," she growled angrily, trying to convince Tin that she didn't say anything to Ryan. Her eyes begged him to leave as she shut and locked the gym doors.

"What the hell did you tell him?!" Tin yelled angrily, grabbing her by the shirt collar and pulling her a foot off the ground.

"Nothing." She growled. Tin scoffed and threw her to the ground. He grabbed her again and punched her a few times, giving her a busted lip and a black eye.

"I don't like it when people lie to me," he said angrily as he pulled her sleeve up and pointed to a burn mark on her upper arm in the shape of a 'S', "especially when they're in MY gang." Tin pushed her back to the ground. "I'll ask again after school. If you don't answer me with the truth alot worse'll happen. When you join there is no going back." He turned and walked out the back doors.

Liz staggered to her feet and unlocked the gym doors. She didn't see Ryan anywhere. Good choice. She thought, biting the cut on her lip as she rounded the corner.

Caralina---

Caralina saw Liz, she looked in bad shape. She hadn't looked like that when she had gone in the gym and Ryan had talked to her. She shook her head. It wasn't her business. Running to class she saw Ryan already there. She quickly sat down and smiled, "Beat the bell." She smiled as it went off.

Liz~

Liz walked into the classroom, a few minutes late. "You're late Liz," the teacher looked at her and gasped, "Oh my lord! What happened to you?!"

"I tripped," Liz replied taking a seat next to Caralina. The class burst out laughing at her anouncement and the teacher quited them.

"Do you need a nu-" Liz cut her off.

"No," she said quickly and smiled painfully, "no." She opened her book and waited for the teacher to start. The entire class was silent, suprised by Liz's attitude. Liz scoffed and jotted down a note, passing it to Caralina. Sorry. Was all it said.

"Can we start?!" Liz shouted angrily and the teacher began talking quickly.

Caralina---

Caralina looked down at the note and grabbed her pen.

It's ok, I guess. Why did you do it though? She slipped it back to her. She was confused. Why would she do something like that then apologize.
