Err, hello.

I'm not sure how I found this site... but I know it was sometime really late last night. 0_o

Anyways, I'm Spiker (well, actually my name is Saige... almost everyone calls me Spiker), and I'm 14. I really really love to write--especially lyrics and poems. I also play the guitar... it consumes most of my free time.

The internet pretty much owns my soul.

In reality, people think I'm weird, or mean because I act negative and pessimistic. I'm not though! I just come off that way because I'm quiet! Also, I believe that everyone is someone different on the internet than they are in real life... The internet kind of reveals things about people's personalities.

I wish I could play guitar; guitars are so cool:) I write mostly poetry too, but I've never tried lyrics.
As for the internet... talk about addictive. Especially this site. Trust me, if you're not already high on it, you will be soon. It's the most addictive thing. In a good way:D

I'm quiet sometimes too. I think we are different on the internet, but I've never thought about it revealing things about us... it alwasy made me feel kind of strange that whatever the other person might be saying to you on the internet, they could feel completely different and you would have no clue because you can't see them, or even hear them (phone). And you can't really tell what they're real reaction is to something you say. But anyway.

Haha I found this site very late at night as well. God was that really 4 years ago? I like writing poetry and lyrics as well. Can't play the guitar, though. I did piano for like 12 years. Doesn't mean I'm any good at it.

I agree with what you said about the Internet. I'm super quiet and shy in real life, but on here I'm a lot weirder. Also I say a lot of things through my writing that I would never say out loud, even to my best friends.

Anyway, I'd just like to say Welcome to YWS! I think Firearris covered all the helpful links, so I'll just do what I do best: Toss the emoticons and run.

Heya Spikerzz! I'm Monki! *pokes username* Lmao. I totally agree with you about the internet bringing out peoples' REAL personalities. I know it brings mine out. I have about... three friends. All because I'm so quiet all the time and people think I'm unfriendly. I can't really help it, it just seems that way. (Plus, I have trust issues, but that's a whole other story.)

Geep, you are so right about the internet being completely different from real life! I mean, most people don't even consider me a writing geek just because I don't talk about it and they think I like engineering and stuff. Furthermore, they think I am shy. Me? Shy?! Yeah, right.

Right now, the Lyrics forum is a little quiet, but it'll be nice to see you revive it and put some of your works in there while reviewing some of the other stuff. In fact, you should do this! It sounds like an awesome idea.
