"Oh, wow! C3PO's my favourite too!" Fly said to the little boy who was sitting on the counter. "Don't you love him?" she asked his mother.
The mother grinned. "He's brilliant. And such a pretty colour."
"I know, I mean, wow!" Fly put the figure lovingly into the bag. She told the mother the price and she handed over the money.
"Thank you!" she said. The mother began to lead her son away.
"What a charming girl," Fly heard her say.
Fly sighed with happiness and looked around the shop. There was a familiar face.
"Hey Tex!" she called. "How're you?"
The boy just grunted and turned away. Fly's spirits sank.
He thinks you're mad, her conscience told her. And seeing as you can't reach him, he won't automatically like you.
She was sad for a moment, then brightened up.
Then I'll just have to use my natural charm as a human! she thought.
**No, seriously, she is so fun to write!*
