Blair-

"It's no use, it's in two weeks." She gave a faint smile and fell into Raxven's lap.

"Two weeks?" He echoed unbelievably.

"Yes, my father's health is failing. He wants to protect the throne, also, it will end the war with Leo sooner." She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and kissed his neck, wanting to forget about it all. She wanted to get lost in Raxven and remember everything she loved about him. He layed his head back against the top of the chair and let out another sigh.

He popped his head up, "Well we could.." and fell silent.

"Theres nothing we can do. In two weeks I am going to kill myself."

Raxven-

I sucked in a breath of air and immediately began to cough. I stared at her, wide-eyed with fear.

"No!" I finally managed to choke out. "No! You...You can't do that! Blair, I won't let you. There has to be something. We could always do as Casius suggested and run. We could go into hiding..."

I stared up into her blue-gray eyes. "Blair, I won't let you kill yourself. I will do everything in my power to stop you. I don't know about you, but I'm willing to fight for love. Fight with my last breath, if need be."

Blair-

"You don't think I want to fight?" She said quietly, "I want to stay here with you forever, just like this!" she wrapped her arms around him tighter, "But since the world in neither fair nor perfect, we can't. If we run, what if they catch us?" She was on the verge of tears, she wanted to run, to go somewhere no one would find them. Live with Raxven the rest of her life. She dreamed about it all the time, "And the throne will be unprotected. I can't do that to my father and my country."

Raxven held Blair close to him as he thought. His even breathing almost like a lullaby. Finally he said, "Marry Leo. Then immediatly after the ceremony, come to my house. The throne will have a new king, and we can leave." It was risky, and crazy, but they had no other choice.

Raxven-

I held Blair close, breathing the faint lavender scent of her soft hair. Her breath slowed and I felt her body relax gradually. I smiled softly to myself and yawned. I needed sleep, and badly, but Blair's news had stirred up too many thoughts in my head to even give sleep a thought.

After an hour or two, I heard the door open and shut quietly followed by a dark mass slipping into the room. Moments later a cheerful flame flared up in the hearth, two small, round eyes staring out at Blair and I.

"Where did you run off to?" I asked quietly.

"Out."

There was no way of getting an answer from Casius when he didn't want to talk.

Another few minutes of silence drifted between us.

"So how was your night?" the fire-demon asked.

I sighed. "Come here. Human form, please."

The light and fire vanished momentarily until another small flame burned in the palm of Casius who stood in front of me. I reached out and touched his forehead, showing him the events of that night in the blink of an eye.

He stepped back, frowning. "You're both in a pretty sticky situation. Your plan seems a bit unstable, too, if I might add."

"You think I don't know that?" I said bitterly, my arms wrapping protectively around Blair again. "But what other choice do we have?"

Casius returned to the fireplace again, the light reflecting from his flames to my eyes until I finally allowed them to close and sleep to overtake me.

Blair-

She loved waking up and feeling his arms around her, keeping her warm. The sun hadn't even risen yet, she still had time. She lay her head on his bare chest, letting it rise and fall with his soft even breathes. He was so tired, she could tell, and she hadn't helped by bringing up the betrothal. The next two weeks would be so hard, she was going to actually have to marry that thing. She cringed at the thought and rolled away from Raxven on the bed. He woke moments later, suddenly alert of her absence.
"Sorry." She whispered turning to look him in the eye. He reached up and tucked some loose hair behind her ear. "Go back to sleep, I didn't mean to wake you." He gave a small smile before pulling her close to him and drifting back to sleep. She couldn't sleep though.

ooh, this is cool! I'll join!

Name: Fyn
Age: 14
Hair color: Black, feathery, gets in his eyes a lot.
Eye color: Angry, purple-yellow. The color of a bruise. *yuck* :) Funny thing is, they sparkle, ya know, like those closeups of eyes in pics that people have photoshopped.
Weapon: a choker like necklace with a water pendant.
Bio: He is a water-baby. They are children who are taken from their parents as soon as they are born, and raised by Taliaths (like merpeople, but they have no tails, only legs, fins and gills, and can stay on land for up to two days) as Taliaths. When they turn 14 they are given back their human form and have nearly all memories erased (except for muscle memory, magical memory, and any skills they may have acquired). The Taliaths (who are cruel and do this only for sport) then leave them in an area inhabited by humans, and make them fend for themselves. The water-babies have no recolection of their lives up to this point, but they are quick to adapt.
Magic: Can manipulate water through his pendant. This is one small courtesy the Taliaths allow him.
Personality: Very subdued, very quiet.
Since he has grown up around water, loves water and can manipulate water, he is not going to get along with some people. :)
I hope this is ok. :)

I'll introduce him tomorrow, I'd like for him to meet Raxven and Cassius first, since I like those two characters, and it'll make for nice conflict. Water x Fire. Fun. I'm just way too tired right now to write.
Maybe, would it be ok if your character gets mine out of a scrape? Say, he has a run-in with a few unsavory people, and Raxven saves him from a beating and who knows what else? I'd like my character to become sort of attached to your character, kinda like hero-worship :), but if you don't like that, I won't do it. Just give me the ok, okay? :) Thank you!
I hope I'm not being to forward. Please, somebody tell me if I am.

This_is_history: Welcome to the Storybook. No, I really don't mind at all about anything you said. If you have any questions, PM me.

Casius-

I heard murmured voices in Raxven's room, followed closely by more silence. Assuming my human form, I went about making my breakfast.

No new letters had to be opened, which was good. Unless a messenger suddenly showed up, there was no battle today. We had won yesterdays, so the defeated army had retreated to lick its wounds and gather its forces together again.

It wouldn't be long now. As Raxven had so acutely pointed out, the enemy was learning how to resist our attacks. And they were learning how to counter-attack. Effectively.

Yes, it wouldn't be long now.

The door to Raxven's room opened slowly and Blair stepped out, shutting the door as softly as possible behind her. I glanced up from my slightly burnt bread. I still hadn't mastered cooking with my flames yet. Or cooking, for that matter.

"I thought I'd let him sleep," she muttered, sitting in the chair next to the fireplace that was burning with a normal fire.

I nodded. "Not a bad idea."

Blair-

She knew Casius wasn't fond of her. Which made sitting there akward enough, not to mention the fact that she was sitting there, wrapped in only a blanket. She would have to leave when the sun was half risen, not too long from then. She didn't want to leave, she never wanted to leave. Even though she loved waking up in his arms, she hated it, it meant it was almost time to go.
She smiled as she watched Casius, in human form, try to cook.
"It's not that easy, cooking." He said, noticing her smile.
"I wouldn't know, I'm not allowed to cook."
"Not allowed."
"I might, burn my royal hand!" She said sarcastically in an impersonation of her very strict governess, the closest thing she had to a mother.
"I see." Casius replied, buttering the burn toast.
"Will you come with us?" she asked, debating which answer she wanted to hear.
"With you?"
"I assume he's told you the plan?" she suddenly regretted bringing it up.
"Ah yes, come with you. I don't know. I suppose so, Raxven is my master." he sighed, "You know, I don't understand you two. Giving up everything just so you can be together, I mean it sounds very, tedious."
"We're in love, but because the law wouldn't allow us to marry, we have to resort to this." she said her smile disappearing. Raxven walked out of the room and spotted her in the chair.
"Get some more rest, you have got to be tired." She pleaded.

Okay, so I'm too bored to not write, so I'll introduce Fyn. Hope It's alright.

(P.S.: He remembers things like object names, words, speech patterns, etc. He just doesn't remember events or specific people or places, or how to act with others. Hope that makes sense.)

Fyn
I was standing in the middle of a town. I knew that much. I didn't know where, I didn't know why. All I knew was it nearly was dawn, and I was cold, dripping wet, and not happy at all. My teeth began to chatter and I wrapped my arms around my bare chest, shaking.
I wanted to go home. I wanted to sleep. I wanted a bed. Now, if only I could remember where that bed was.
My eyes began to water, my throat to constrict.
"No, I'm not going to cry. I never cry."

I thought to myself, choking down the lump in my throat. It was then that I heard a voice behind me.
"Aw, poor baby. Is the baby gonna cry?"
I whirled around, my arms still wrapped around my torso, making the spin akward and throwing me off balance. I put out my arms to catch myself, but that just made it worse.
I fell down hard on my backside, making the older boy who had been the cause of the fall to laugh. Loudly. As he did, a few more boys stepped out of the pre-dawn shadows, joining in the laughter.
"Poor baby! Here, lemme help." the first boy said through rude guffaws. He held out a hand, and I took it. Before I could stand all the way up, though, he let my hand go, and I fell unceremoniously back to the ground, making me yelp when my already sore backside made contact with the cobblestones. I was angry.
"Go to the depths, you son of a demon." I spat at the boy. I didn't know where that came from, but it seemed appropriate.
Obviously it was not.
All at once, all the boys decended on me, punching and kicking me from all angles. I curled up in a ball, unable to do anything but take it since there were so many.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok, so that's open, if Raxven or anybody else wants to come save poor Fyn. Or I can invent a way to get him out of this, but I'd prefer the former option. :) Hope I'm doing this right.
I hope the settings right. I guess I kinda looked over that part. Just, tweak it so it'll fit, if it's not too much trouble. I'm wherever Raxven and Casius are. Town, right? If not, well, I'm still where they are. Sorry!
Blair-
"I should go." She sighed and looked at the half risen sun. She walked in Raxven's room and dressed, as quickly as possible. Time was working against her. Raxven and Blair walked through the woods in silence, they were no longer in the safety of Raxven's home, but they were hidden by the dense trees. She could see the end of the forrest, where the trap door was hidden. She wished she couldn't see it, she hated that trap door. Her pace slowed.
"No Blair, you have to go." Raxven said, pushing on the small of her back. They reach the door and Blair turned to face Raxven. She pressed her lips to his and too quickly pulled away. She opened the trap door and began to climb down.
"See you tonight, Blair." Raxven said. That was the only upside of the trap door, she could always look forward to climbing out of it that night.
Goodnight everybody! I'll post tomorrow morning. (Just so you know, I was notorious on the TYWC RPG I was on for bugging everybody endlessly until they post. So if I start to get annoying, or if I post way too much, just tell me and I'll shut up. Ok?) :)
Eep, I'm so happy! I haven't been on an RPG in years! WOOHOO! :) :)
See ya!
Raxven-
Casius, come on. We have a few errands to run in town, I called mentally to the fire-demon who was still at my house. A few moments later, a small, glowing red figure that resembled something of a monkey with a blazing skull came bounding up to me, turning instantly into Casius in his human form. He grinned.
"Haven't used that one in a while. So, what are we doing today, O' Master of Mine?"
"I need to pick up new spell scrolls. I'm nearly out, and I don't have the energy to create more at the moment."
"Anything else?" he asked, and I noted the small hint of anxiousness in his voice.
"No, why?"
"Oh, no reason. Just wondering."
"Huh," I grunted before stepping from out of the trees and onto the crowded road that led into the city. The sea bordered it to one side, a sheer rock face to another. Vast fields of green and a forest covered the remaining exposed portions.
Stepping into a darker alley, I heard a low wail and a chorus of loud voices, most belonging to boys that sounded to be in their late teens.
And the wail, undoubtedly, came from their victim.
Vivid memories of my own past clouded my vision for a moment. I too had been an easy target. Weak, slender, cowardly...I was a favorite among the bullies, though I had told no one.
I walked forward briskly, towards the sounds. The wail came again, turning into a faint scream only to be cut off quickly.
I rounded a corner and came upon the scene, Casius still loyally at my side, though he seemed content to let me handle the situation. I grit my teeth together when I saw the small group of boys huddled around a dark mass on the ground. Hands, feet, elbows and knees continued to rain down blows until the bare back was covered in bruises and blood. All of it belonging to the victim who had curled into a miserable ball.
"Stop!" I said, my voice deadly calm and quite, yet carrying easily through the mass of boys (thanks to a quick and simple spell). "What is the meaning of this?"
One of the boys turned to look at me. The rest had stopped, momentarily.
"Get lost. We was here first," he said in a thick accent, speaking a very crude version of my language.
"I think it is you who had better leave and pray my companion here does not pay you a visit in the night," I threatened as Casius, taking that as his cue, turned into the black mass of his Dark form.
One or two of the boys backed off, their eyes widening at the sight of Casius. Soon more followed their wiser friends, until only the bleeding body on the ground remained. I approached quietly, laying a hand on the trembling shoulder.
"Are you alright? They are gone now, you are safe. We will not hurt you."
Be the cartoon heart. Light a fire, light a spark. Light a fire, flame in my heart. We'll run wild, we'll be glowing in the dark.
Blair-
The days had grown long since the first night she spent with Raxven. She remembered meeting him in the woods, the first night she had discovered the tunnel behind the tapestry. Blair was going to run away that night, nearly a years time ago now. He didn't know who she was, but he let her stay in his house. She disappeared long before he had woken but suprised him when she came back the next night. They were so unsure of each other, but so willing to get to know one another. For two weeks she came to his house every night, and they just talked. After those two weeks she decided to tell him her true identity. She said she wouldn't come back if he thought it was too dangerous, or he was too worried about getiing caught and killed. He had responded with a kiss, her first kiss.
Blair sighed as she stared out the window, wondering where he was. There would be no battle today, they had done a good job yesterday. She closed her eyes remembering the previous night. Completely wrapped up in him, she remembered the look in his eyes as they lay next to each other drifting in to sleep.
There was a curt knock at the door, "Come in." she said snapping back to reality.
It was her governess, Gertrude.
"Good morning, Princess." She nodded her head in a bow and layed Blair's clothes for the day out on the bed. It was one of her nicest dresses.
"Why such the formality, and you know I hate wearing this dress, I only do it on special occasions."
"Today is a special occasion, Princess, your betrothed will be coming shortly." She left at that, snapping the door behind her, leaving Blair in an unpleasant mood.
Naomi~
Naomi stood up from her bed and stretched. The sunlight flashed in her eyes, making her sheild her face. She looked around the room and saw Maybelle in the cot next to her. She smiled and ran downstairs, begining to prepare brealfast.
