LOL haha.
Sing lustily and with a good courage. Beware of singing as if you were half dead, or half asleep; but lift up your voice with strength.

Not really.. Do opinions of hugs differ with age...? I don't really think so. Some people like hugs, others don't. It's not that teenagers like hugs more than adults.

I'm just going to go back to the origanal topic because this is my first post here and I can't be bothered reading the entirety of 11 pages just to find out something as silly as what's going on.

Anyway. I like sweetness, and guys with brown eyes (the colour is just so facinating ... and there's something empty about blue -- please no one take offense, I have blue eyes myself so I don't really know why I don't like blue eyes in a guy...). I'd love to be told I'm special and beautiful and everything (although no one ever has told me this stuff), but I'm really very shy so please guys, if the girl's shy NOTHING EMBARRESSING P-LEASE (in public at any rate). I find it way to horribly embarresing to have my hand held in front of people. If the girl's not shy ... well, ask a girl who's not shy.
I think that if you don't really know the girl it'd be a good idea to start by just talking to them and getting to know them and them to know you. That's how I'd like guys to start if they liked me anyway.
Oh, you're angry! Click your pen.

The woman's mind... Total chaotic entropy and changing development. Best not to try to understand, for your mind too is just as crazy. But what's happening to a woman's body and mind is totally more stressful and frustrating then a man's. (To the guys) You try to get through the night with *cough* just try to get through a bloody night. Emotional too! You feel vulnerable and on edge when the time comes, so that's why you see the mood swings in many women. Sorry, but having a sister doesn't help my understanding. Off on another tangent...

Stop protecting the teenager. Full in development, many (all) can't handle their changes. Hormones rush when you hug that girl, maybe you even get turned on. You get your sexual drive; don't tell me you think about a relationship when you press up close to a girl. If you do, then are you a late bloomer? Does your interest lie in another sex? Your sex organs are basically getting ready for reproduction. Why is imagery so important in the teen world? Because how you look is a big determinate of who you are attracted by and to. Sure, I guess when you hug your friend as a teenager, it's because you are keeping up that relationship, or even bringing it to another step. But I think most of the time, it's to get in touch with that drive you wish to fulfill. When girls lift their shirts to show the tatoo they got, is it really to show you their tatoo? Maybe, but it's mainly to turn you on. Am I right? Why do they put that tatoo on that spot? Imagery. And imagery drives those sexual drives. So hug in the teenager world are to improve one's standing on a level of relationships, but also to experience a side that has just begun to unfold. Next step? Grinding...

I couldn't agree with you more on most of that. A sweet, considerate, brown-eyed boy can always get to me in about 5 minutes. And being told that I'm different than other girls, and special, and beautiful and all of that stuff... just not so much that it turns into meaningless sugar. (And just a side note to guys - if a girl sits there and argues with you when you call her beautiful, this is not a sign to stop saying it... it just means that she needs you to tell her it more so that she can convince herself of it... sorry, that was sort of out of the blue)

However, I don't think that it's embarressing to have my hand held in front of people. The only time that I don't like little things like that in public, is when I think that the guy is trying to draw attention to it so that he can show off his chick in front of all his friends. I don't want to feel like some sort of trophy that you brag about around your friends. That's just stupid.

But talking to start off and getting to know eachother, THAT I agree with whole-heartedly. The more you talk and the more you get to know eachother, and the longer it takes to get around to actually being boyfriend/girlfriend, the longer things tend to last.
