Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. I have been using another writer's forum, but I got a bit old for it

Hope everyone here is as friendly as they were there though! :-D

Um...what to say about myself?

Like writing fiction, usually full length novels, just finished writing one, which I think is pretty good; started a new one this last week, which I'm working on while I'm giving my previous one a break before a second round of editing and waiting for my mum to get a move on and read it so I can have some constructive criticism.

Started branching out recently and wrote some short stories for a competition I'm looking to enter, surprised myself actually, I used to dread writing short stories...

Love reading nearly anything, can't stand fantasy generally though (actually, that's not true, some things are alright, Northern Lights wasn't bad), but absolutely detest Harry Potter and any mention of JK. If anyone wants to start an argument with me, that's the best way to do it. :-D Am reading Chocolat and Crosstitch by Diana Gabaldon (for about the third time, and yes, at the same time) at the moment.

That's about it. Oh, apart from that I'm hopeless and nearly always coming so close to accidentally losing all my work. Only today I put my memory stick through the wash. Luckily it still works so no harm done. :-D

And I'm rambling. I do that. Anyway, hello again!

Yay! A fellow writer of novels!

I'm also big on writing novels and not publishing them (and nearly loosing all of them). I've written six so far, and am about to attempt publishing. I started a new one too, so hey, what a coincidence. Anyways, I hope you didn't loose your stuff. My first two novels were saved on a computer that crashed and now I only have the hard copies. :O

I see you're already off to a good start! Hope to see you around!

But that is not the question. Why we are here, that is the question. And we are blessed in this, that we happen to know the answer. Yes, in this immense confusion one thing alone is clear. We are waiting for Godot to come. -Beckett

I'm pretty sure that you might like some certain fantasies besides Philip Pullman's. ;)

I'm glad your memory stick was saved from evident death. That would be... terrible. :(
