Unfortunately, that shop is run by Vulcans, and in order to qualify as a purchaser of immortality, you must present your case for requiring immortality in a flawlessly logical fashion.

Fortunately, I had a speech already planned out just in case I needed to get immortality from the store.

Unfortunately the Velociraptor wouldn't go with you because he needed to be bribed with a Papapphippipippohippus which you didn't have.
I'd rather waltz than just walk through the forest.

Unfortunately, before the velociraptor could finish his speech, he was eaten by a T-rex.

Fortunatly, the T-rex had had a big lunch and desided halfway through his bit that he didn't want to eat anymore.

Fortunately, he had other things to eat so he didn't eat the T-Rex.

Unfortunately, the velciraptor was located in an area full of hungry monsters and he couldn't run because the T-rex had eaten one of his legs.

Never forget how special this site is: the older I get, the more I realize how many lonely writers there are who have only family and maybe some friends to read their works. The fact we get free critique, nightly writing pads, free contests and unlimited interaction at *no cost* with people genuinely wanting to help, can not be overstated or overrated
