I know there were several months I didn't touch the chatroom, I disliked it so much.

Well, he's apparently gone back on this. He's currently in the chatroom, a mere 15 minutes or so after he said he posted this, then said "Bye". XD

Well, he shouldn't leave over this. But, he does have his right to leave as he pleases. He should give everyone a chance on the site first. I can name few members who are willing to help him with criting, showing him around the site.

But really, everyone's treated like this Derek, you just have to tough through that first trial. It's sort of a test, those who make through have to have some quality. And your writing is good, maybe a little purple or whatever, but it's good.

So anyway, try not to fail the test.

Yeah, writing and chatting are two different things, but that sounds pretty thick coming from someone who can't even be bothered to use proper grammar.
That sounded mean, I know. But no one's asking you to chat - just ignore it, and stick to the Lit forums.
But it's your choice really. I think you might just want attention.

Derek, I think a lot of people would be a little more than slightly disgruntled if you left. Look at all the people trying to stop you. And if you know YWS-ers, we would tie you to a chair and force you to stay if we could. *smiles* But we cannot--so instead we beg you to stay, because we love you that much. PLEASE!!!

Drerek, please don't leave. I enjoy talking to you. You don't necessarily have to go to chat. Your funny and easy to converse with. You shouldn't feel as though you don't fit in. when I just came, I was so afraid to use the chat room, i avoided it. Then i slowly began to go in again.
