(I thought we were going to do the car accident thing you suggested, but ok, we can skip the movie and start the shooting. By the way, uh... Sock, we're nearing the end of the storybook, so you probably wouldn't want to take part. We're about to do something that wouldn't make this a good time for people to jump into the storybook.)

I walked along the sidewalk, kicking a pebble in front of me attempting to have some rhythm. The pebble moved to the side and out of my reach, totally ruining what I was trying to accomplish. I rolled my eyes and decided I didn't really care.
My right hand moved around in my pocket, searching for a couple of spare dollars so I could go see a movie. Looking up I saw a happy couple leaching the movie theater. Squinting my eyes I knew I recongized them from somewhere. "Kai?" I asked. "Why are you with Audra?"
Ha.
I have no idea what is really going on.
Bear with me.
Names Sara.
(I don't know what to post. If Socks doesn't post anything in the next day let's just move on. And Socks, just so you know Kai hasn't had any real girlfriends before Audra, and his first kiss was with her.)

(Since Sock hasn't posted anything, we're just going to have to move on. Just by reading her first post I could tell she was planning on making Sara Kai's old girlfriend. Since that's doesn't line up with my character's profile it's not going to work. Another reason why it's not going to work is because we're, unfortunately, nearing the end of the storybook and we need to get to the climax (school shooting) as soon as possible. So, sorry Sock, but we're moving on.)
They made their way to Kai's car. The parking lot was pretty empty so it was easy to find a spot near the theatre.
"I loved the part when 47 made the girl ride in the trunk," Audra said. She mimicked the voice of the girl in the movie. "There's a dead body in there!"
"I loved the part when he jumped through the window and the people in that room were playing the Hitman game," Kai said.
They both laughed as they got into Kai's car. Something in the distance caught Kai's eye and caused him to stop before he got into the car. There was a man in a long black trentch coat standing near the entrance of the movie theatre. Kai saw a few people before who wore trentch coats and it was fine because it was a fashion statement. With this guy it was different. Kai couldn't get over the feeling of dread that was prodding at his stomach as he stared at the man from across the parking lot.
"What's wrong?"
Kai looked at Audra, forgetting for a moment that she was there. He looked at the man one more time before shaking his head and getting into the car. "Nothing."

Kai glanced at her for a moment before turning back to the road. He was driving, after all. "Actually, I finished that picture I was painting that I told you about."
"The one you started the day we met?" she asked.
Kai nodded. "I worked really hard on it, I want you to see it."
Audra smiled. "I'd love to, Kai."
Kai had to give her another glance. It was almost too hard to believe they had a fight this afternoon that had almost ended their relationship.
Kai slipped his key into the lock and opened the door. His room was made very much the same as Audra's, except he didn't have any oriental screens to section off certain parts of the room.
"It's not much, but it's home," Kai said.
"It's pretty clean in here, much cleaner than my room," Audra said.
"I was hoping to show you the picture today so I cleaned up a bit." Kai led her over to a canvas with a white sheet draped over it.
"Is this the picture?" Audra asked.
Kai nodded. "I worked on it ever spare minute I had for the past week." He gently pulled off the sheet to reveal the picture.
It was a painting of a beautiful woman in a white gown kneeling in front of a pond. It was in the middle of a forest at night. The moonlight seemed to reflect perfectly off the water's surface, as well as the woman's reflection. When Audra had a good look at the woman's face she realized that Kai had painted her.

The hug had taken him off guard and almost knocked him off his feet. He had to take a step back to keep his balance when Audra threw her arms around him. Kai laughed and hugged her back.
Audra looked up at him. "What even made you think to drawing something this beautiful?" she asked.
"When I met you I saw the beauty that was inside of you," Kai explained. "And that all it needed to come out was somebody to encourage it. When I met you you were scared of singing or playing the piano in front of anyone, but I showed you that you're singing and playing were fantastic. The way you see yourself is the way you look in the mirror, right?"
She nodded. "I guess."
Kai motioned to the canvas. "That is how I see you every moment I'm with you. But no matter how hard I try to paint your beauty, my art will never do any justice to the real thing."
Audra was completely awe struck, not by the painting but by him. He wasn't telling her she was pretty, he was showing her he thought she was outright beautiful. Not just physically, but on the inside, too.
Kai smiled down at her and said, "You're cute when you're surprised." Before she could say anything he swooped down to claim her lips.
