I had been frantically trying to reach ellie on her cell phone but she wasn't answering. What was she thinking just leaving the stoor and following that guy. I hadn't gotten to tell her my dad was making arrangments for her to live with us, be a part of our family.

"Oh, it's all part of the game sweet pea." Haylen mockingly sneered. "I tire of this chatter. Now I have to "check" on your friend. She must be awful worried." He grabbed the rail to a rusty metal ladder. "See you around." He grabbed his knife and chucked it into her leg. She screamed and moaned as it ripped into her flesh. "Use it to get out."

I should have gone to the police, but I decided to be stupid instead. I looked everywhere for her still trying her cell phone. I decided to check the school and then I would go to the police. The only people at the school were the janitors, George and Allen, and I knew them well so they let me in to "grab something I forgot." I was on the second floor when I bumped into a person and screamed.
"Ryan! You scared me!" I said clutching my heart.

Haylen walked through town, assuming the role of the nerdish new kid on the block. The town was too upset to worry about a strange new intruder. Everyone was trying figure out who had slaughtered the police officer. Soon they would all know. He chuckled evily to himself.

Well since Kitty just up and lefted can i take her roll?? Or...is that a bad idea?

Ellie stared at the wound on her leg. Crimson formed around the knife quickly. She winced each time she moved her leg. What's the point? My dad's dead. My mom's long gone. Addy's probably dead, from that wretched man. What do I have to live for? Ellie leaned her head back and closed her eyes. I just want it to end.
