It's great being a Senior!
They get the ultimate respect.
Freshmen obey them,
Sophomores adore them,
And Juniors want to be them......

Too bad I'm the want- to- be-er.

Okay...that was supposed to be a poem right? If it was...it was an okay poem. I really didn't get the last line:

Too bad I want to ber.

What is that supposed to mean?

I think the last line is a typ, cause it makes no sense as Madd pointed out. I'm pretty sure the last line is to signify what class you are in and your Sig kinda gives it away as well.

It is a nice thought, Easy to understand.

Well, I'm a Senior, dears, and believe me, it's not all it's made out to be! You're still a teenager, and you still have wildly sporadic bursts of hormones. You still have emotions and a heart that can be broken.

As far as the poem goes, it's all right...kind of brief, though. I think you could explore the differences between the different levels a little more, but I like the brief last line. Up till that point we think you're a Senior, gloating over the lowly Juniors and Sophomores, but it turns out you're the one of the 'lowlies'! Very nice work. However, like I said before, the first part of the poem could be longer, just to build up the tension a tiny titch.

I believe 'ber' is not spelled right...want-to-be-er? Wannabeer? Want to beer? lol, no. Want to be-er? Something.

Anyway, good job! Good luck...

That's right! Bow down to seniority, I'm class of '08! Gonna go to University of Washington in the fall! Sweet Seattle; senioritis sucks. Alliteration!

Hey, don't knock junior year, that was the best year of my life so far! Now that I'm a senior this year, I have to panic about getting scolarchip/college applications in, and making sure I've done all the classwork I need to, etc.

*ahem* Anyway, despite the fact that I personally enjoyed my junior year, I see your point, and I really did enjoy the poem.

I think you should consider making it a little bit longer to explore the differences between the classes a bit more, as Kool said, and perhaps you could give it a slightly more developed rhythmic and rhyming structure.

I love the last line line with the way it completely changes how the reader sees the narrator. Like Kool said, up to that point we think it's sort of a "ha-ha-look-at-all-the-little-people" thing, and suddenly we see that it's really more of an "aww, man" sort of thing.
Home is where the books are.

So... what's a senior? And what's this line supposed to mean?

Too bad I'm the want- to- be-er.

Yeah... I've got no idea what a senior is.
*Don't expect to see me around much in the next couple of weeks. School has started again, and it'll be a couple of weeks before I've settled in. If you've asked me for a critique, you will get it, but not for a little while. Sorry*

O_o You don't know what a senior is? A senior is a person in twelfth grade.

As for the "Freshmen obey them" part.......

HAH! Not us ^.~ We torment to seniors more than obey them =P

lol, this is true. You're still a kid but now you have to pay taxes and work. It's a weird combination.

Anyway, I'm still glad to be graduating. Two days!!!

When I said I'm a want-to-be-er, that means I'm a junior (11th grade).

I'm gonna be a senior next year! :D :elephant:
