Name: Rask
Age: 124 (Looks no more than 25)
Race: Drow (Dark Elf)
Gender: Male
Appearance: http://fuuryoku.deviantart.com/art/Dead ... w-31441961 White Hair, Tall, Slim, and graceful. He has black eyes and dark colored skin with white symbols and designs.
Personality: He is dark and bitter and never lets anyone get close to him, either way. He is not the most reliable person and can be nasty when angry. He has a temper, bit rarely lets his emotions show if he can help it. When around those he trusts, he lightens up a bit and can be slightly goofy, but is still pretty dark.
Magic: Mostly dark or wild magic, but he can do any kind of magic if he wanted.
Abilities: He is flexible and cunning. He is great at confusing people with both words and emotions. He is unpredictable.
History: He keeps his history to himself. All that he lets known, because he can't help it, is that he was kicked out of his original elven home when he was really young, thus becomminga drow, also known as a dark elf.
Be the cartoon heart. Light a fire, light a spark. Light a fire, flame in my heart. We'll run wild, we'll be glowing in the dark.

<Rain>

I raised my eyebrows when I was Fire coming back, trailed by an Avian girl. Judging by the way Fire was rubbing his nose, the pair nearly had an inflight crash. Fire being Fire, jumped onto my head and curled up turban style, (his favorite place) I HATE it when he does that.

I glanced over at the other girl and smiled slightly, "Seems curiostity is contagious today, so what do you think those two are doing." I whisper, keeping my voice low enough that it would sound like an insect's buzz to the elves, but the avian heard me clearly.

Nodding towards the scene playing out before us, the elves are talking now, must be travellers like me. Or they wouldn't have been so surprised to see one of their kind. The avian girl crouches beside me, and the two of us listen in on the conversation.

<Kahlak'tisht> --- orc

Ti'kn'ahk'n and Kahlak'tisht clasped their paws together, a surprisingly human-like gesuture.

"I've gottah get going, Lakkah."

"I know. Shek'ehk'n is expecting a cub, isn't she?" Kahlak asked, grinning slightly at his friend's use of his old nickname.

Ti'kn nodded, "The Elders say it is a boy. . ."

Kahlak drew the proud orc into a spine-shattering bear-hug, "Good on you Ti'kn!"

Ti'kn jangled his share of their winnings, "Looks to me that I'll be spending this not on good mead but on cub shit clothes."

They both roared with laughter, and the inn across the road quietened before becoming brawdy once more.

"As one."

"As one."

Kahlak watched his cub-hood friend leave for home, and felt a pang of homesickness before shoving the feeling back out the door; he was not going back home to a prearranged marraige. Never!

Kahlak'tisht reentered the inn, nodding at the innkeeper, and accepted mead from a serving wrench.

His observant eyes notice a Dark Elf sitting in a corner amongst the shadows, nursing a flagon of - he sniffed - Elderberry Wine. Intrigued, Kahlak drew up a chair at the elf's table.

The elf ignored him. Kahlak waited patiently for a rebuke.

"Well? Why are you here?" The elf finally spat at him, his Elderberry Wine tasting bitter and sour in his mouth now.

Kahlak downed a swig of mead, "A propersition."

"Not interested." The elf said shortly, and became seemingly entranced with the fireplace.

Kahlak rolled his eyes, a sight humans describe as hideous, "I have a need of magic."

The elf pretended not to be interested, "So?"

Kahlak snorted, "Suit yourself." He started to rise in his chair, slowly counting to himself.

"Wait."

Five seconds, Kahlak'tisht smiled to himself.

The elf sounded annoyed, "For what?"

The orc sat back down heavily, the chair creaking with his weight, "I was planning on breaking into King Meaglywn's volt."

The elf laughed, "It's rumoured to be impenatrable."

"Are you one who listens and believe's these rumours?"

He shook his head, "Nah."

"Well then?"

"I want half the profits."

Kahlak rose one scaly eyebrow, "Done." He finished off his pot of mead (cups or flagons were too dainty and small for him), "Now, what is thy name?"

"Rask." The elf's eyes narrowed, "And yours?"

"Kahlak'tisht."

Rask raised his Elderbery Wine in a toast, "To the heist."

"To the heist."

They touched vassals, and the deal was done.

------------------
maybe (creator of Rask) you can always get out of this if you want to - I just don't see how an orc will be accepted into the group by the river (the avian, dragon + owner, and the two other elves), and as you ahve not yet written anything. . . well . . .

the choice is yours!

cheers!

Bella wandered through the woods, staying in the shadows and out of sight. She climbed a tree quickly, and looked down at the path.

A man, looking no older than 25 or so, was walking there. His skin was dark, covered in intricate white designs. Handsome, Bella thought, smiling to her self. She walked to the branch closest to him and jumped, landing on the path in front of him.

"Hello, the names Bella! And you are?" she asked, smiling and bowing slightly.

Name: Flint
Age: 15
Race: Kender (small human like creature who steals stuff from peoples pockets without even noticing it themselves, is always amazed to find random things in their many pocketed coats. slightly magical- can find treasures easily)
Gender: Male
Appearance: Fluffy red hair and green sparkling mischievous eyes.
Personality: Goofy and enthusiastic.
Magic: Can find treasure easily.
Abilities: He is flexible and acrobatic. He is great at confusing people with words.

-------------------------------

<Flint>

Flint sauntered over to the table at which sat an orc and an elf, that he knew as Kahlak'tisht and Rask respectively.

He struggled to climb onto the seat, they both looked down at him in disdain. Once he managed to finally get up he asked seriously,

"What do i have to do to get in?"

Kahlak nudged Rask playfully, who in return glanced evilly at him.

"Well, that depends." the elf muttered contemptuously.

"Depends on what?" the Kender asked enthusiastically.

"On what you can do." Rask said and smiled a sardonic smile.

"So, what can you do?" Kahlak asked in a dismissive tone of voice.

Flint opened his coat and fumbled around for a while.

"Ahhh, here it is! Does this belong to you?" the Kender asked while holing up a rather big ring.

The orc started,

"HEY! Thats mine! Give it back NOW and GO AWAY!"

"Alright, alright mister angry orc man . . . thing." Flint handed the ring back. He jumped of the chair and started to walk away slowly.

The elf stood up knocking down his chair,

*Wow, three DragonLance fans (As far as i know) in one Storybook. Cool*

*Bella, you may need to edit your post. I'm in a inn/tavern*

Rask-

I stood suddenly, reaching out to grasp the Kender's shoulder.

"Wait," I said, softer than before. "Your skills may come in handy afterall."

The small creature turned to me, green eyes glittering with mischief and fun. I bit my lip, not believing what i was doing. Asking a Kender for help... had i lost my mind? Nevertheless, his skills would come in handy in the break-in.

"Are you mad?" the Orc behind me hissed, his words directly reflecting my thoughts.

"No, I'm not," I said patiently. "If the Kender was able to steal a ring in less than five seconds without you notcing, imagine what he could do in a King's vault! We'd all be rich!"

Karana

I sniffed the air, going quiet.

There were people around us...everywhere.

"Wait a moment, please," I said as I closed my eyes. Now, to find everyone...an avian, a small dragon and its owner...I silently slipped my magic through the soil and entwined them in the invisible binds.

"Got you."

With a single movement, I snatched them out of hiding and into the clearing, dropping them heavily on the ground as I let go of them finally.

"Who are you?" I asked, trying to sound polite despite my rough treatment of them.

*lolz yes - Dragonlance was the best, eh?*

<Kahlak'tisht>

"Are you mad?" Kahlak hissed at the Dark Elf.

"Not entirely." To the kender he said, "Welcome to the team." Rask singled to a tavern wrench, and grabbed a mug far too big for the small kender, "Drink up, we've got a trying day tomorrow."

Kahlak muttered under his breath for a while, then asked, "Well? What's your name? Besides thief?"

The kender looked offended, "I'm not a thief!" A sudden wary look came to his otherwise mischievous eyes. Cautiously he withdrew the same big ring from his pocket that he had stolen from the orc only a few minute ago.

Both orc and elf stared at the kender in disbelief. Then Rask began laughing, pounding the table with one gauntleted fist, "But my he's good!"

Kahlak'tisht ground his teeth, feeling an intense urge to squish the small creature.

The kender suddenly smiled, "My name is Flint."

<Rain>

I looked curiously at the elf, I couldn't help being impressed, the girl had found them even when I'd suppressed my aura. Shrugging I snapped the ropes of air holding me like they were nothing. Quickly I stood up and brushed the dust off, while I broke the majic holding Fire, and the avian girl.

"I'm not going to answer that. As for why I was watching you, I'm a drake, and the pest over there..." I pointed at Fire, "is my soul-bonded duel dragon. If you ANYTHING about the Lore, you should know drake's and duel dragon's are perpetually curious. Where as bad as kender like that. Don't know about the avian though."

I smiled at the pair of elves. "Now answer me this, what are a pair of blood elves doing in a light elf forest?"

Senra watched all of this from the covering of an invisible spell. She was wondering the same thing as Rain. why would there be so many elves in the same place. She had been going on her own way when she had sensed the others.

Dakto raisd an eyebrow as Rain broke her bonds wih ease and addressed the elves, surveying the scene before him with a curiosity that somewhat matched that of the drake. An interesting convergence if there ever was one. He sniffed the air once, his eyes narrowing. here was someone else here, watching, though he could not see them. And the stench of undeath. He loosened his swords, knowing the sound would probably alert the elves. That, however, was preferable to trading blows with a vampire. He shivered. For all his power, he didn't like that prospect at all.

I tensed. How did she know? How could she possibly know what I was when I had said nothing?

Senra could smiled at the Stormlord. She had never met one before but she knew about them. He knew she was there. She could tell by the way he looked around, almost worridly but also confident. She walked towards him and looked his sword over, it was a nice one that was for sure. But she liked her weapons better. She moved back away from him afraid he would sense her closeness and get lucky with his sword.

The Stormlord felt something moving behind him, sensitive to the slightest change in the air around him. He turned slowly, hands on his swords. He took a single step forward, trying to sniff the vampire out.

"If you want to attack me, cut out the waiting and do it now. If not, kindly cease being invisible. I'm in more of a talking mood than a fighting mood right now, but you're making me twitchy..."
