Please tell me I've come to the right place! :p

Hi guys, I'm new to this site. And as such, I'm very excited. But what I really really really want to know is this: am I the right age for this group?
I'm 22 you see, and since graduating from university, I'm either too young or too old for most things. I'm an in-betweener, and let me tell you, it's not fun at all, so I just wanted to double check.

For the most part our members are eighteen and under, but there are a few people (great people, I must say ) like you and I who are older and it's perfectly fine!

Haha, you're certainly not the oldest here, so I would say: not to worry. You could take a look at our other site www.thewriterssociety.com though I doubt that the community there has grown enough to really be as good as this one...

Now the, Welcome to the YWS. If you have any questions or need help with something feel free to contact me. Or anyone else in green, really. Currently we're having our "birthday bash"--we're three years old. So, right now, things are a bit crazy and outright strange! But you'll get used to it.

Now for the questions: what was your major? :-p I'm a curious one. What do you enjoy to write? Genres? What do you like to read?

Well, I don't think you're overly old - it's for 13 - 25's. I think there are some 22 year-olds on here - can't think of any off the top of my head, though, but there are definitely people over your age.

If you want to try a site more for your age group, I suggest you take a look at www.thewriterssociety.com - the sort of spin-off site from this one. But, yeah, I don't think anyone's going to object to you being on here.

Anyways, welcome! So what sort of stuff do you like, favourite authors, etc.??

Thanks guys for making me feel welcome here, is the other writer's group something that's open to anyone? (including 50 year olds?)... You see, I want to be inspired by the people around me who are going through similar things. I like writing stuff that's very youthful (my influences are Haruki Murakami, Allen Ginsberg, Gertude Stein). I like rebellious, bohemian, weird people to surround myself with... not some poor sod who constantly worries about the mortgage or what the boss said, I have enough such people around me.

The other site is open to anyone over 18, but it's not very active and currently the only people that are members are people from YWS that are still active on YWS while being on TWS. It's very much your call on which you do, but I hope you stick around here. You can look for the people who are older and 'hook up' with them and maybe make a critique set up or do whatever you like on here really.

hi! no you're not too old. fishr's 26 and she's great fun to have around. Her characters and my characters get into arguments. so don't worry about it. age is relative in the world of creativity. (ooh, that was deep.)
