"The mark of your ignorance is the depth of your belief in injustice and tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls the butterfly." ~ Richard Bach

Never forget who you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.
This reminds me of a time I was working at a camp in rural Iowa (years ago, I don't live there anymore, so don't worry about trying to track me down) and I was driving with another camp counselor from Australia... and we drove past a little country farm and one of the other girls was like... "uh is that a kangaroo" ...I was sure she was joking or trying to make fun of our Australian friend, but when I turned to look, YES it was a kangaroo, next to the goats and chickens, behind a fence in the middle of a cornfield-surrounded area. So I turned our vehicle around and had our Australian friend get out so we could take a picture of her with her fellow Australian. It was so wholesome. She sent the picture to all her friends back home and they were very confused. One of the most magical coincidences of my life... because... what are the odds?
For non-Americans who might not understand the story... kangaroos are normally not present in Iowa.
you should know i am a time traveler & there is no season as achingly temporary as now
