Ok, so I think I'd better explain this a bit more before just pasting this excerpt.
Background Info: Lisa Rubin thougt she had a rather mundane lifestyle until her parents reveal the truth; She is a fairy from a distant land known as Ezar and was brought to Earth because of her gift. Lisa was a Seer. A See has the ability to travel to the past and change aspects of it, thereby effecting the future. Furthermore, she also has the capability to travel into the future as well.
Shane Ralston, the protagonist in this excerpt, is a werewolf who was relocated to Littleton (where Lisa lives) in order to protect the Rubins. His father, also a werewolf, is rarely in the story because he fights in the army of Ezar.
Also, there's a whole history behind the werewolves and fairies because, they weren't always allies....they still aren't but that's not in this section....
....Review and tell me what you think. I personally love Shane almost as much as my main character, Lisa. He's so sarcastic and witty, it's amazing...I hope it came through in this excerpt..Sorry for the rambling..

I miss Ezar. I hate Earth. I want to go home.
What a pleasant way to start off a day, no? Seriously, I’m sick and tired of waking up every morning, going to school, talking to humans, coming back and doing pointless assignments and repeating the whole endeavor over again. I’m sick of it. Then again, I don’t know why I’m complaining because, it’s not like I have a choice.
Mother is fiddling around with the stove while I ate small pieces of cardboard, commonly known as cereal, for breakfast. Oh, how I miss being able to hunt. I miss being able to out run rabbits and devour them. Their succulent flesh flavored with sweet blood is simply divine.
“When is father coming back home?” She looked at be as if I had asked her why the sky was blue today because it wasn’t. Father is the lucky one who got to escape this torturous hell. He is fighting for Ezar back home while I have the privilege of stalking Lisa and making sure she doesn’t get murdered before she turns eighteen. We were sent on a mission to protect the Rubin’s from the enemy’s troops. They were after Lisa because she could potentially be the first Seer after nearly two centuries.
“I don’t know” her mother replied.
I knew I was being too optimistic. Heck, if I had a choice I’d rather be anywhere but here. Something tells me today is going to be quite depressing.
“Shane, school,”
“Must you remind me everyday? It sounds a lot worse when you say it.” I muttered dumping the soggy pieces of cardboard into the sink.
“Remember, be human,” I smirked.
Mother was paranoid about being discovered. She keeps prodding me on common ways like to stay silent and be obedient to humans. Silly mother, if only you could come to school and see for yourself how “obedient” humans really are. I tore myself away from the kitchen and grabbed the car keys and school bag before leaving the door.
I must admit though I’ve grown accustomed to many of the common human rituals, I still haven’t divulged the reason behind having an institution which houses more than two hundred kids and stuffs nonsense into their heads. School is the most pointless thing I’ve ever come across. I read in an article yesterday that kids were postulated for becoming dumber by the decade. All I can say is, no wonder.
Driving is probably the only thing that doesn’t completely throw me off the edge. Aiden would probably hate driving. I’m so thankful that I’m not a fairy or else I would’ve hated Earth with a passion. Not that I love the place but having my wings clipped would be excruciatingly painful. Ok, I lied, it’s not painful, according to Mr. and Mrs. Rubin but my point is: getting your wings clipped looks painful.
