Please Help!

What is the scientific name for a microscope?

I think microscope, but I could be wrong. I want to see what others say though, hmm good question.

I just asked my dad (the chemist) and he said it was microscope.

I am pretty positive it is microscope, though I've heard certain types called scientific microscopes, and there are all different kinds of microscopes, as well, optical, electron, point-projection, etc.

Yup yup, it's microscope. There are tons of names for them, though. Do you need a specific one, or did you just need to know what the scientific name is?

Microscope.

But, it depends which kind you're referring to I suppose.
