Okay so I'm probably not the first person to mention this but I'd like to be the last. We have more than a thousand unanswered posts on this site. Stories, poems, questions, all sorts and I want to change that. I'd love it if everyone would take the time to click on the view unanswered posts link and go answer just one post. One thousand posts divided by three thousand members? You do the math.

hahah Heather--This is lovely initiative.

I'm sure Nate would be proud of you! I am. Forums are always going to have unanswered threads.... I'm sure many of them are very, very old though, yes? Perhaps when the site was real inactive at a time something got posted and was over looked -- so keep time stamps in mind!

Still, Go you!

There are still some now that are just getting ignored.

And some of them get ignored for good reason, better to say nothing at all than something rude. The thought is well placed, Kitty.

I tried to do this for a week and I ended up doing like... 20 critiques in a day one time. Funky stuff, really.

But yeah. Even a comment or something would be nice. That way, we can have lots of pretty active members! Yep, yep...

Yeah. And I know some are really old but I think it would be great to have no more than like fifty unanswered posts at a time. In fact, I might even start from the back and if I try to answer five a day, it should only take a year. Lol. That's on my own though and I'm sure I'll get a little help.

I agree with you, Kitty, and I often feel sorry for those poor, lonely unanswered posts myself...

But it's true. Sometimes nobody comments on them because to do so would be detrimental to the author's feelings, unless you were a master of tact and subtlety.

But I'll join in whenever I can! A worthy endeavor, truly worthy.

Heather, you should make it a contest. The winner gets self gratification. :smt043

That's not such a bad idea actually. I'll see how we go with it but if the unanswered posts don't fall rapidly enough I'll organise a contest.

I didn't know about this, but I've been trying to do it anyway... You know, not commenting on only the popular topics, but ones that have no/next to no comments already. I have a question, though: is there a place where you can find all the unanswered posts?
Thanks
~Azila

If you go to either the literary forums or the community, above all the threads and to the right you will see a list of links. I think the very bottom one is something like, "View unanswered posts". It's around there.
