I don't want to sound too arogant, but...

How do I make more people review and critique my stories? Why do they look at others' stories while mine remain unviewed and uncritiqued? Do I need to review other works more?

I don't want to sound as though I am yearning for attention, but I feel as if I am left out of something.

Reviewing more is always a good thing, but I see you've got 11 reviews and only 14 posts, which is pretty good. Perhaps review more thoroughly - you'll likely get more attention that way. Of course, you could always PM a couple of members, the Instructors being your best bet (I think they're the ones with their names in purple).

There's also the CCF - you can find their post with all the details in the 'Welcome' section, I think.

Anyways, good luck with your critiques. The more you critique, and the more you critique well, the better chance you have of getting more for yourself.

Ask people! Contrary to popular belief, mind-readers do not exist and though we have a general idea that you might want critiques, a request is always nice.

But yeah. Make sure your stuff is grammatically sound, participate in the community and get known, both with lounge and with critiquing, and most likely someone will notice you.

Or, post a topic that says, "SPEW! HELP ME!" and this will guilt-trip SPEW, which is supposed to be a critiquing usergroup on YWS (I think), into critiquing your work.

This is a fine question ^_^ Some people just don't know how to get these sort of things.

I'm sure Snoink did a lovely job... but my suggestions: critique more, ask more people, be social, get noticed. You just joined today, and it will take a while to get critiques. But they come.

Well, what I would do is make an interesting story. If people like and can relate to your story they will most likely review it and tell you what they really like about your story and their connection to it.

And also put a G, Pg, Pg-13 or whatever rating on it so it'll make the front page. more people will see it then.

I don't think you really could make more people crit it. I think most people are like me, only criting when they really like it and when they don't have to search for it.
