Saddest Book

I know what you mean about the big words. Sometimes her style can be a touch annoying.

The ghost writer is Andrew Neiderman and he follows her style so closely. I didn't even notice the switch in the middle of the 'Heaven' series.

I'll say. I walked around in a daze for ages after I'd read it. Some of the Shannarra books were real sad. The Elfstones was real sad at the end, and one that I forget the name of. The one where Tay died; I found myself gulping when reading that bit.

I think I have to add HP and the Deathly Hallows to my list now.

I thought The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold was tragic, but absolutely beautiful.

That's all I can really think of right now... I don't like depressing books. I think I must be too susceptible. XD

Pay It Forward got me at the end A very inspiring story, I thought.

My Sister's Keeper got me, and The Time Traveller's Wife too, if I remember correctly.

I also thought Stargirl, by Jerry Spinelli, was sad. Really worthwhile, but sad.

Erm...Where the Red Fern Grows is the only book I've ever cried while reading, so that has to be my answer. *is embarassed*

I don't read that many sad books but these definitely are my top three in no particular order

Argh. My memory is so bad.
But I've read so many that I can't keep track.
One I can think of right now is 'Raven Queen' by Pauline Francis.
Very simply written, for children, *Blushes*
But I ended up crying alot after that.
Its historical fiction about Lady Jane Grey.

Well I have a few but they are all by the same author.

"A time for dancing" is one of the saddest books. Someone gave it to me after reading my NaNo. They thought I had copied that book but I had never even heard of it. xD

Without a doubt The Amber Spyglass.

It's the first book that made me cry. Still get teary on re-reads.
