Tas watched Zade suspiciously, shrugged, and turned back to the two still in the cabin. They were both watching him anxiously, Tave had a bit of a smug expression but Tas ignored it. Allynne was looking at him in concern, confusement, and excitement. Tas rolled his eyes and turned away slightly but Tas could see them still watching him, could feel them boring a hole in his back.

"What do you want!? It's not like i'm going to kneel over dead in the next five minutes!" Tas nearly shouted, turning back to face them.

I continued staring at Tas for a long time, seeing him as if for the first time. How dumb do you have to be to steal jewelry from a mage?? I thought. It could be infused with demons, or cursed, or... I stopped, not wanting to think it, but the thought had already entered my mind. If Tas stole the Necklace of Axymalz... We were all dead.

"What do you want?! It's not like I'm going to kneel over dead in the next five minutes!" Tas shouted.

"You might as well," I fumed. "What kind of idiot takes any jewelry from a mage?"

"Do you still have it?" Tave asked.

Tas rolled his eyes. "Course not. What, you think the mage would just catch me, put a curse on me, and let me walk away? Ha!" he laughed harshly.

"Alright, i was just asking, shesh." Tave sighed. Tas glanced at her before rummaging around in the desk. He found nothing of interest.

"WHY did you steal it?" Tave asked.

"I was hired to, ok?" Tas shrugged. "Such nosy people..." he muttered under his breath.

"Tas, the infamous thief, hired!?" Tave was near falling she was laughing so hard. Tas stared at her with as much hatred as he could muster.

"Look, i didn't have a choice! Believe me, i regret it as much as all of you, putting you in this mess is not what i wanted it to come out to." Tas fumed, still staring angrily at Tave.

My! This is an interesting turn of events!

-------

Tas was furious, or as furious as he could be in his state. I glanced at Tave and caught a hint of that tell-tale purple glow in her eyes. I knew something had to be done quickly or there would be an explosion from one of them.

Tave looked like she was about to speak again, but I interrupted.

"Look, this isn't getting us anywhere," I stated, trying to contain my own anger. "Let's just get to port, and figure out what to do from there."

Just then, Zade stepped back in, holding the ship's charts and Lord Ethuin's compass. Jly was with him.

"We need to get to port soon, captain," Jly said. "Our supplies are running low."

"I think we can forget Rorran," Zade said, examining the chart. "Since we went so far off course last night, T'yarmik would be the nearest port, now. If Tave and I use our magic, we could be there by this time tomorrow, or sooner."

Tave stood reluctantly.

Lol, yes it is
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

"And no doubt the mage will most likely be there waiting for me." Tas muttered. He sighed, "Fine, so be it. Set sail for T'yarmik."

"You're just going to turn yourself over!?" Allynne exclaimed.

"What choice do i have?" Tas asked, turning to look at her. He held the look of a hard acceptance, he knew he was most likely going to die this time tomorrow.

"I...I don't know!" Allynne cried.

"You see? I wouldn't want any of you to get hurt on my case. It would be better this way."

Zade

I laughed out loud at the thought of Tas being hunted by a mage.
"what are you laughing at" asked Tas angrily
"I cant believe it. Your hunted by a mage and I'm hunted by the whole elvish armada" I said still laughing
"You are?" Tave asked
"Yes i realized that when they, the elves on the ship that boarded us didn't capture you" I said
"But they were from the..." said Tas
"I know, I know. Two reasons. One, Didn't you see they were disguised?" I asked then added "Two, If they really were peaceful they would have let my friends meet me"
I knew that both Tas and I were hunted. The choice for them was would they let us stay or not.

Of all the things he could have stolen, it had to be the bloody necklace of bloody Axymalz!

I was furious, and he had been hired to do it too. What was he thinking?

I stared at the ground for a minute to regain my composure.

"Tas." He looked at me, "Does this mean he is going to make you duel him, you know, to finish you off?"

"Yeah, I guess, that is why he is draining me of all my magic."

"Well then there is nothing to worry about."

He frowned.

"What do you mean?"

"Think about it. Zade and I have easily enough magic between us to bring down a mage."

"I told you, I don't want the rest of you to get hurt."

"Oh?" I said raising one eyebrow, "Since when does magic Fusion hurt anyone?"

Zade chipped in, "If you are happy to Tave, then I am willing to help too. If you help me with my problem."

"Sure, no problem."

"I am not so sure..." Tas looked uncomfortable with the idea of borrowing anothers magic.

Before he could say anything I grabbed his hand and pushed all my magic up his arm. The force threw him back against the wall and as he stood up his eyes flashed with purple.

*Just thought I would throw that in :) It should lead to a good battle with the mage! *

Tas stood up and cursed. "You fool!" he turned to face Tave, his eyes growing dangerously. "Take it back!"

"Why?!"

"Because now the curse will sap YOUR magic, too! So I'll still be just as weak tomorrow as i was today!"

"So what do you propose!?" Tave fumed back.

"Take back your magic! If you're still willing to tomorrow, give it to me right before we make port, that way the magic will be strong. Make sense?" Tas asked calmly

"Fine." Tave scowled. Tas grabbed her hand and shoved the magic back into her. He shook as the strength left his body and leaned against the desk.

"Now i see the difference..." he murmured as the purple glow left his eyes.

"So now what?" Zade asked.

"Go about your business and chores. Tomorrow we make port in T'yarmik." Tas said shortly, his breath coming is short gasps. He stumbled back behind the desk, sat down in the squeaky chair, and fell asleep.

I smiled smugly. I had made my point and I knew that Tas had no choice but to accept our help.

The only problem was he might discover my little trick. No. He wouldn't think of that while he had my powers. He would use them sensibly. Even as I thought the words I knew that he would find out.

**Yeah me too. I wanna know please**

***The curiosity is killing me***

Zade

I walked up the stairs and looked if i could site land. no use.
Well its worth the risk I thought.
I teleported myself as far as i could into the direction land was probably going to appear. I oppened my eyes and fell into the ocean.
"What the!" I shouted
I jumped out of the water. Flouting on the air I cursed it and flew the way i thought was best. I had casted a spell onto the ship. If anyone alive asked someone where i was a recording of my voice in the ship would shout out the answer. But for now i needed to get to land and check for that bloody mage.

*Hope you dont mind, fire, but i'm making my post start out the following morning.*

Tas woke the next morning, his head still laying on the desk. He yawned and lifted his head, focusing his eyes and looking around the cabin. Sunlight was just beginning to stream through the window behind him, lighting the room with a comfortable glow. Tas tried to stand up but his legs would not support him and he fell back into the chair, making it squeak loudly in protest.

"Damn..." Tas swore softly.

The cabin door opened and Allynne stepped in. "How are you feeling today, captain?"

Tas didn't bother answering her question, but instead asked, "How far are we from port?"

"Um...let me go get Tave. She could answer that..." Allynne said, running out the door before Tas could protest. He sighed and lay his head back down on the desk. After a few moments Allynne returned dragging along Tave.

"How far are we from port?" Tas asked again.

"About fifty miles. We will be there in a little over two hours."

"So i have about three more hours to live." Tas shrugged.

"No, three more hours until this curse is broken." Tave replied sternly.

Tas shrugged again. "Sure." He glanced out the open door. "Where's Zade?"

"In the crows nest." Allynne answered immediately.

"Go get him. I need to ave a word with him." Tas said. Allynne ran out and Tas turned to Tave.

"So, you really think this will work?" he asked.

"Yes."

"Why are you giving me your magic to save me? Why not just let me die? From what i hear of what people think of me, the world would be a happier place if i were dead."

Tave sighed, exasperated. "Because Tas-"

"Zade's not there! And i can't find him anywhere on the ship!" Allynne announced, running back into the room.

Zade

"Let me go, Please!!" I begged
"Zade, Zade, Zade. I didn't even dream of a powerful mystic like you becoming a pirate" Said the elf still holding Zade
"I never use my full strength on anything Strewt" I said then added "If I did you would all be dead"
"What!!! You dare speak to me like that?" asked Strewt furious
"Let me go and i will show you" I said
"No way. Lets wait till your little friends get here too" Strewt sad and dragged me towards a elvish ship.
"wheres the rest?" I asked
"In the ocean. Waiting for me to get you and your crew mates" Sneered Strewt.
