Geomana went back up onto deck and met Sano, her cheery mood renewed instantly. It was so strange that someone would have such an affect on her. But she didn't worry about it. She gladly half-ran over and met him in a hug as they watched the land dissappear behind them.
Reiko was still in the halway when the staff started cooking in the kitchen. Nobody noticed him. He stood leaning against the wall, staring blankly at the ceiling, vaguely feeling the cold metal of the blade against his arm.

Reiko fumbled with the bandages at his leg, cursing loudly. they had come slightly unravled on the long walk to the docks, and he had hardly noticed them until now. However, he had no idea how to rewrap it.
He was still trying to get them back around his leg when he saw Geomana and Sano at the end of the hall. He swore quietly and pretended not to see them.
"you're doing that wrong," Geomana said.
Reiko cast her a vicious glare. "At least I don't lick my wounds."

"Neither do I," Geomana said, "as a nurse I know how unsanitary that is," her words were spit out in pure anger.
Rieko looked startled, "you're a nurse? They have collages in the underground city?"
Geomana crossed her arms and shook her head, "me, my parents, and my brothers, lived above ground, we didn't move below until after our parents died, and during that time I went to nursing school."
Reiko was pure disbelief. "And they allowed you to study there? I thought Herskon weren't allowed to go to schools..."
