The Prelude

Life is confusing, and yet it never ceases to amaze. Things happen, and you'll never know why, or maybe you will. Who knows? You will love, you will lose, and you will gain, whether you know it or not. Some days will be wonderful, as you taste the fruits of a happy existence, and other days you will wonder if happiness will ever find you at all.

Sometimes you will stray from the path, wandering aimlessly, and then you will find the path again, and continue on, only to get lost again somewhere along the way. And as you stray through the darkness and Confusion, you will begin to wonder exactly who you are, and why you are. You will feel alone, but I assure you it is not so. No human walks alone on this earth. There is always someone walking beside you, whether you see Him or not. The fog may be thick, but Love is a torch that burns bright. You'll see the sparkle of the flame off in the distance, and you will run to it, and when you break through the fog... There is the path again. And so it begins once more, until the end of this life. It may seem pointless, but there is always a purpose. Every soul has a purpose. Large or small, existence is existence.

So I say cast off your doubts and your worries. Cast off the chains and keep moving. Love like you will never be hurt, fight like you can never lose, and sing every song you never knew. If you're going to say something, say it loud, but you must also listen, because you share this place with many others. Times can be tough, but victory is always on the horizon if only you wish it. And if you do, someday you'll walk along white shores that will never end, as the sun rises eternally. There is no darkness there.

And so, this life is only the Prelude to the song you'll soon sing all of your days. Sing it proudly and alongside everyone you've ever loved, and everyone you've ever hated, and everyone you've never known. Don't hold grudges, because the same blood runs through all our veins. Sing in harmony, and you will produce a sound that angels would envy. Sing in harmony, and broken hearts will be mended, broken dreams will be restored, and broken souls will be redeemed. Sing in harmony, and you will find what you were looking for all along.

Your heart is a door, and all you need to do is open it. Are you willing?

There is a God, and He made Music.

Aww... this was cute. Though I think it would be better if you introduced the music aspect of it earlier. ;)

This was very sweet and it evoked many memories and thoughts. I'm afraid that I've strayed from the path a few times too many though. Lol. Don't ask. The piece of writing is really good though and full of inspiration and positive notions.

I wrote this after the breakup with my previous girlfriend. I couldn't find any motivation and encouragement, so I made my own.

Inspirational and encouraging. I can see why you would write something like this to put you in a better mood. I think I'll bookmark it so I can read it when I get in a sour mood.

This was really beautiful. The emotions that you portrayed were real and refreshing. It read easily, almost like a sea-birthed poem on a gloomy day. Honestly I can't stop smiling. This is the first Non-Fiction piece I've read ever and so I wanted to find something different and through my searching I've found it. This was a great read and it was so true. Wow! I know this was written a long time ago but it still deserves a star.
Great Job and Keep writing,

What if everything you mentioned is your own false encouragement?

what if there is no reason or God?

what if everything we believed was just conditioned upon us?

imagine a world like a purgatory, nothing at all, what would you come to believe?
