Keri was quiet for the rest of the trip, she had already been talking enough. Derrik kept rambling on about the jail though. Keri was glad when they finally got to her apartment and she could get away from the bickering and she could talk. Dave followed her upstairs with Derrik behind him. She unlocked the door and stepped inside as a big germen Shepard bounded towards them. He almost knocked Keri over. When he saw the two strange guys he started growling. Derrik glanced at Keri to see if she would do something but she just walked back to the kitchen and pulled to dog food out.
“Uh, you forgetting something?” Derrik called.
“No, don’t worry, he isn’t gonna hurt you unless you are a real threat.” Keri laughed.
“Keri.” Dave said not liking the looks of the dog either.
“Come on in here Camo, leave the chickens alone.” Keri called smiling.
“CHICKINS!” Derrik nearly yelled. “I ain’t chicken, but that is one mean lookin dog.”
“He helps me keep the creeps away.” Keri laughed walking back into the leaving room
while Camo was eating.
“Where’s your room mate?” Derrik asked plopping down on the couch.
“She moved out leavin me with Camo. So I got a dog from the whole deal and she got everything but that lazy-boy.” Keri replied.
“We ready to go?” Dave asked shifting his weight off one leg to the other.
“Man, this couch in comfy.” Derrik said bouncing on one of the cushions. Camo walked in and stood at Keri’s feet.
