The Poor Scarecrow

Ayumi heard what Kisa had said. She felt her temper flare once more.

She ran to catch up with the group, trying to maintain control of her tongue.

"I said that just to pacify him! It means absolutely nothing!" she snapped, trying to keep her voice low.

Emi smiled. "Sure it doesn't."

Ayumi growled. She knew the best of all how much she abhored perverts!

Emi laughed, then leaned over and whispered into Ayumi's ear. "Like wise men love to say, 'The time will come when you must make the choice, and then you will know the answer.'" She leaned away smiling at her cousin. "Though, I must voice my concern on your choice in the male gender. You definitely could have done better."

She laughed at the glare Ayumi shot at her.

"Fortune cookie always wrong," said Kakashi blithely, obviously hearing despite their best efforts to keep their conversation private.

"If a man is lost in a forest and there's no woman to hear him, is he still wrong?" grinned Emi.

((I'm not posting because I don't get it...))

((Then just skip to another scene))

The group rounded a bend and came upon Amegakure. The sky was overcast with rainclouds, and a group of Chuunin waited outside the gate.

((Had to start a new scene for Ayumi. ))

((Of course. waiting on Ayumi........ nice avatar, by the way ))

Ayumi stopped, studying the landscape and the group before them.

"A welcoming party," she commented. "I just hope they're friendly."

Emi nodded. "We don't need another fight."

"No, especially not with him being useless!" She gestured at Seikyou. "You saw what he did in the last fight!"

"Yep. Nothing."

Isumi went head to the group before the others, kakashi looked conserned. Isumi disipeared then reappered infront of the ninja, but when he kicked them the didapiered, "It's genjutsu!"

Another ninja leaped at Isumi, but he doaged the kuni thrown at him, then jabbed the stomach of the man braking a few ribs. Two more came out, but Isumi preformed some hand signs. "Seceret art, chakra binding water!"

Water began to seep out of the ground, grab the ninja and slam them against a rock, "A Keki Genki can come in handy."

Ayumi bounded over to Isumi, ready to use her own kekkei genkai if necessary.

"Are you all right, Isumi?" she asked.

"Yep," he answered.

Ayumi looked at the ninja he had bound with his secret jutsu. (They're no stronger than the last group to attack. But, why?) "Why'd you attack us?"

They seemed reluctant to answer.

Can we go on, i don't know what to post?

"That's none of your business!" one of them snapped.

Ayumi's patience had run thin. She couldn't tolerate anything else. She held up her right hand, white-hot flame enveloping it as she held it before her.

"You sure that's your answer?" she hissed maliciously, slowly approaching them.

The Chuunin swallowed hard. One of them grew pale while the others stared in disbelief.

"Ayumi, calm down. There's no sense in killing them." Emi drew closer to her cousin and growled in her ear. "Remember this: It will give them a legitimate reason to hunt you down if you break the treaty..."

Ayumi froze and the flame in her hand faded. She looked at the ground and lowered her arm.

Emi stepped in front of her cousin as Kisa came forward.

Isumi looked at the two. He sighed and brought his hand to one of their foreheads.
"Mind Break!" The ninja fell out cold.

Ayumi looked at Isumi. "What did you do?"

"I invaded his mind. These are not true rock villiage ninja. They killed soliders and took their place. someones played us for fools."

((So Isumi is Yugi's Pharaoh brother? rofl!))

Kisa stared at the other nin, and coolly hit him across the back of the neck, stunning him.

"Well, at least we can say that the first mission has been interesting," she commented, inserting a senbon into his neck.

"Interesting doesn't translate to fun," was Kakashi's comment as he examined the bodies.
