The Poor Scarecrow

She couldn't wait on the squad's half-wit, Seikyou. She easily left him behind with her long stride and hard-earned stamina. (All that sprint training is finally paying off! Time to start having FUN!)

She turned to find two more ninja behind her, kunai raised and rocketing for her. She quickly made the hand seals for the Karyuu Endan, using her Hohyoton to guide it.

"Emi, move!"

She managed to leap away just before the flames engulfed the two ninja, their screams echoing through the forest.

A sharp pain erupted from her arm, but she bit her tongue. (I can't let that distract me...We're not through yet!) She leapt after another ninja, ignoring the blood and pain.

Kisa rebounded off a tree and, flipping, gave one of the attackers a strong kick in the ribs. Flipping backwards again, she did a few quick hand seals.

Raikou! Shuurai Rensa no Jutsu!

Chakra lightning blazed out of nowhere and hit the remaining shinobi, the air thick with the smell of burnt clothing. She knelt to check the fallen ninja.

"Iwanin," she murmured, focusing on the hitai-ate.

Emi twirled away from her attacker, coming up behind him. She quickly performed handseals while pulling the required water from the earth.

"Suiton! Daibakufu no jutsu!" The giant water vortex seemed to appear from nowhere.

The shinobi was thrown in a tree where emi bound him with ice. He struggled against the restraints, but Emi's ice was almost as hard as steel.

The girls approached the ninja.

"Dosake Kantai," spat the shinobi through a mouthful of blood, his face scarred from the lightning strike.

"What is your reason for attacking our party, Dosake-san?" asked Kakashi, kneeling to eye-level.

"Why would I tell you?" Dosake glared at them.

"Because," Emi said darkly, her hair falling across her face giving her a look of pure evil, "we are skilled in information extraction." She raised her hand and a sharp stake of ice grew from her palm.
