As Shorti looked at the girl, there was something familiar about her, but he was sure that he had never seen her before. He then asked, "So what's your name?"

"Minerva," she replied with a smile that didn't show any of her teeth.

"Nope don't recognize the name." Shorti was so sure he had never seen her before, but that feeling kept nagging its way up. He was thinking that it was one of those girls that he had hit on on the bar, but then again he can't remember any of their faces. And most of them he wouldn't want to, because they all made fun of his height. "So what are we doing?"
It doesn't think, doesn't feel.
It doesn't laugh or cry.
All it does from dusk 'till dawn
is make the soldiers die

"Shhh!!!" Thanos shushed them. "I can sense the werewolf. Comeon." Thanos lept over the side of the building onto another only a few feet away.

"Jump Miv."

"You're kidding right?"

"Fine, I'll go first and make sure I catch you."

"Still kidding right?"

"Not this time."

"Great."

"Just jump Minerva, you'll make it," Thanos shouted. Jakson jumped first and made it with a foot to spare. Minerva closed her eyes for a second and jumped over the edge. Thanos and Jakson caught her by the arms as she landed.

"Your turn shorti." Shorti quickly lept over the side and barely made it. "Next building." Thanos jumped to the next building, then Jakson. Shorti went before Minerva that time.

Minerva jumped. Thanos and Jakson reached their arms out to grab hers as she fell short. Her hands gripped theirs. When she slipped and fell down the six stories.

She was caught by stone cold arms, "you're okay love." He smiled, showing off his teeth, his fangs.

"Minerva!" Jakson shouted. The vampire looked up at him and vanished taking Minerva with him.

"Put me down!" Minerva said as she fought against her holder.

"Foolish child, you'll enjoy this." He bent down and kissed her neck twice before plunging his fangs into her. He drained her nearly dry. "I won't let you die though." He put her down and revealed his wrist. She was so disorented that she didn't care what was happening, she was in so much pain that she didn't care what was happening. Anything to make it stop.

He slit his wrist and pushed it to her mouth. She swallowed blood again and again. Finally when he was satisfied that she was okay he vanished leaving her on the otherside of the block from where he took her.

Jakson spotted her from the top and went into the building and ran down the stairs as fast as he could. He ran outside and ran to her. She had just gotten up and looked at him as if in a trance. He embraced her tightly and it pulled her back to the world.

"I am so sorry Miv. I should have been more careful and not have made you jump across. It's all my fault. Are you ok? How did you get over here? How come you're not hurt?"

She looked so pale to him.

"Jakson, Do we still have to go after the werewolf? I need to go home and get some sleep. This has been too much." Her voice was so weak and quiet and sounded somewhat scared. Well why wouldn't she be? She just fell off a six story building.

"Sure Miv. And again, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to be so careless. I just really wanted to find that wolf and forgot about the consequences. Forgive me?"

"Sure whatever. Just get me home ok?"

He walked over to Thanos and Shorti and shook his head. He put his arm around Minerva and walked her home.

"Miv are you sure you're okay?" Jakson asked.

"I'm sure," she said faintly, the sun quickly rising was making her weaker. She'd have to tell Jakson eventually, she'd wait for the oppertune moment. Maybe when he asked how she ended up on the other side of the street. She hoped he would, 'Lestat' could probably tell her if she was a vampire or just blood bonded. Doomed to stay a mortal for all eternity.

She felt around her teeth for fangs. None, thank God. At least for now. She dared to hope that she was still mortal, would Jakson feel the same if she were a vampire? She didn't know.

Her eyesite had improved immensely, she could easily find her way around her pitch black apartment. She was grateful that Jakson hadn't insisted on staying. She'd need to see if she became a vampire, and she couldn't bear to be around him if she was.

Jakson walked back home. He couldn't understand why Miv was acting so strange.

"Women." He sighed. He got to his door and unlocke it walking in. He was suprised to see a dead, teenage boy....Or what he thought was one....lieing on his blood covered bed. The boy's heart was missing and his face was slashed. It was nausiating. He threw up right there. The smell was so intense. He headed out of the door and thought of calling the cops...But then my place will be swarming with cops. I could just take him to hospital...But I know he's dead...but then I can get rid of the boy...but they're gonna ask questions... He banged his head against the wall and yelled. He was SO confused. He just sat there in the hallway.

As the sun rose Minerva became exceedingly tired, Holy crow she was a vampire! For a few moments she concidered falling asleep on the couch with the windows open, letting the rays of light fall on her. But what about Jack? If she killed herself he wouldn't know and would just keep looking for her everywhere! She couldn't do that to him. She slept in the closet the only sunless place.

When the sun went down Minerva rose like her alarm went off. Instantly she went to the window and looked outside, she saw that werewolf looming around.

"Go away!" she shouted at him.

He beconed for her to go down to him, feeling a little self concious she opened the screen and jumped down.

"What do you want with me?"

You got rid of them. Yes, that's just like you. Getting rid of everything unpleasant instead of learning to put up with it.
