Dragons drink blood where you come from? Sounds like some stupid dragons. Either that or they're small. I've never drunk blood straight. ~Alex

I would have thought werewolves were more apt to drink blood. I must admitt, I've done something similar once or twice in the wilds. And I had to fight to keep it down. Fortunately, such a need is rare, especially now that I'm back on Earth. ~Conall

If the Sense was technology, why didn't you say that in the first place? How was I supposed to know? I've hardly seen what you consider technology. ~Killesha

I believe my friend has a point. She did ask for an explanation. So, just how does this Sense lead to the connection of two individuals as Familiars? ~Lyn

"Actually, that's one of Fal's... thingies, not mine. But, Killesha, to clear everything up, as this is getting rather boring with everyone asking who's who, Harry and Kit are human, Fal's an elf, the Raven's part elf, and I'm a Dream Lord. The Master of the Phoenixes." ~Rohsair

"Danann is Elftongue for one elf." ~Fal.

"The Sense is too complicated to explain here." ~Rohsair

Jake: *looks interested* Phoenixes?

Marc: *groans* Great, now you've caught his attention. We'll be here forever.

Vanessa: Jake, I doubt our phoenixes are like their phoenixes.

Marc: Angels. That's what eveyrone in the Common Realm calls them. Or spirits, or ghosts, or whatever. In Aellyn, though, they're phoenixes. Fire-birds. They paralyze Shadow-scum with their Firesong. Of course, only the Touched can see them. To the Shadow and the un-Touched they just look like wisps of fog or bright outlines of winged creatures. But to us, they're phoenixes.

Vanessa: Marc?

Marc: What?

Vanessa: You're doing it again.

Marc: Doing what?

Vanessa: Confusing people.

Jake: So are your phoenixes like your guardians? How many do you know?

"They don't sound much like the ones where I live. A phoenix is... well, I don't really know how to describe them. They go about with Dream Lords and help them. As phoenixes can heal through their bodily fluids, Dream Lords can as well. They also have a bird's heart and bird bones." ~Rohsair

"The Dream Lords, that is." ~Kit

*genuinely* "Your ones sound very unique, Marc." ~Rohsair

"And don't worry, you're not confusing us. We've gotten used to the Raven burbling on and on, and making less sense than 'x plus y equals three red shirts'. It toughens one, being exposed to that all the time." ~Fal.

Marc: *looks at Vanessa* See? I'm not confusing. *to Rohsair* I've heard of your phoenixes too, although I didn't know they could heal through bodily fluids. Our phoenixes are rare. Like angels. They're guardians, and they're our allies in the battle against the Shadow. They're birdlike, but not quite birds. *shrugs* I've never actually seen one, just heard about them. Supposedly they'll be there with us in the Final Battle, where they will become visible to everyone.

Jake: I wonder why everything becomes visible at the very end?

Marc: You mean like your sword?

Jake: Yeah. It would be so much more fun if people could see it.

Vanessa: They'd be terrified. A four-foot-long flaming sword, I don't think people would be very comfortable with that.

Jake: I know. But it would make things interesting.

Marc: *irritably* You're already the Wielder of the Blade, the Warrior, and my bodyguard for life. What MORE do you want?

Jake: *thinks for a moment* A dog.

Marc: *blinks* What?

Jake: I've always wanted a dog. Dad just never let me have one.

Marc: *smacks forehead*

Vanessa: *is worried* Do you need any help?

Jake: *looks wary*

Marc: He's a wolf, Nessie. He can't understand you.

Vanessa: *rolls eyes* I have the gift of wind, Marc.

Marc: *sheepish* Oh...yeah. Right.

Vanessa: And so do you. Remember?

Marc: *gets defensive* I'm new at this, okay! Give me a break!

Jake: What did the wolf say?

Marc: Stop reaching for the sword, Jake. He's safe.

Jake: *pretends not to hear* What did he say, Nessie?

Vanessa: He's lost. Calm down, Jake. Open your ears.

Jake: *annoyed* It's not as easy for me. I don't have the affinity for wind. Are you sure it's safe?

Vanessa and Marc: *exasperated* YES!

Jake: *still looking wary* Sorry.

Marc: Jake's overprotective. Don't mind him. But what do you mean that humanity is 10 percent of your identity?

Do you always speak so formally, werewolf? And so insulting? ~Conall

Your hate of humanity, and your feeling of superiority, doesn't likely help people like you any more. You could at least be neutral. ~Killesha

Okay, explain this to me, a half breed plus a half breed makes a full blood? That sounds like two mixed breeds sireing a pure bred. ~Alex

I'm sure you're just misinterpreting the titles. It sounds to me that there are the savage, animalistic werewolves and the werewolves that have a greater sense of humanity. Strange though, that they see themselves as superior to humans, and yet the only thing that separates them from the half bloods is their humanity, of which they seem to dispise that aspect of themselves. Sounds hypocritical to me. ~Conall

*Looks over to Jake and the others* Oh, and I thought my life was wierd. You guys make demons in the city seem like an everyday occurance. And, where I come from, its about one of the strangest things that has ever happened. ~Alex

By the way, may I have your name werewolf? ~Conall

Marc: Hey, I like the werewolf. "Be neutral." Whatever. The world isn't neutral. We've trained people to not take sides, not have an opinion. Well, I think that's bulls***. If the wolf wants to hate us, let him hate us. But at least he's not sugarcoating it. At least he HAS an opinion.

Jake: Great. She'll go on for hours now. *to Alex* Demons in the city? Sounds like Writhes to me. If phoenixes are known as angels in the Common Realm, then the Writhes could definitely be called demons. We should team up sometime, man. I have a feeling we could help each other out. And P.S., the Common Realm is Earth - where we are now. Of course, Aellyn is Earth two, it's just more of a...world within a world.
