Guys, if we really want to continue this then we should make a 'discussion thread' so we can plan what's to happen next. I'd hate to ruin someone's plans by accidentally changing the storyline :? . I'll make one now but we really need to work on a title. For the moment, we'll keep it as 'help me out' if that's ok.

DarkLight

Jake was horrified.

It was his fault that Elizabeth had been taken, his fault that Gared had lost her and his fault that the vampire had escaped. He could see Gared was trying to take the blame on himself a little, but that was just how he was.

"What do we do now?" Jake said, biting his lip as he waited for an explosive response from Gared. But, he was suprised.

"We have to look for her." No outburst. No anger. Not even any annoyance that Jake would dare to break the silence. That was interesting.

"You're not scared are you?" With Gared temporarily stunned Jake began to feel a bit more confident. He felt in control. And, even now the outburst did not come.

"I'm really not sure Jake. I'm really not sure"

Elizabeth lunged at the door as it shut. Just too late. It wouldn't have mattered, if she got out she'd be thrown back in. Scared she curled up in a ball and hid in the corner. Gared get here quick please.

Gared paced up and down the room, if Elizabeth died or became a vampire he'd never forgive himself. It was his fault she was missing, if he wasn't being cocky that night and never became a vampire it wouldn't even be this way.

He put his palms on his temples cursing himself for this, it was his fault, all his. He could follow her scent, and see where that leads him, he could also track Clara. He saw nothing else he could do, his mind was far too clouded.

((sorry I haven't posted in a while...))

Clara smirked, any moment Gared would come to rescue the girl, she knew he would.

"You sit tight, your knight in shining armor will come soon enough."

She made sure the door was securely locked before turning and heading up the stairs. She had a few things to get ready before she was ready to wait.
Llama 1:"Shh! Do you hear that? That's the sound of forgiveness."
Llama 2:"That's the sound of people drowning, Carl!"
Llama 1:"That is what forgiveness sounds like; screaming and then silence."

oh no, Elizabeth realized what Clara's plan was. She screamed at Gared in her head, Gared! Don't come! I'll find a way out myself! She knew he wouldn't hear her. He would be trying to figure out where she was.

Knowing it was useless she rested her forehead on her knees and cried.

"So, we can either track Clara and find Elizabeth, or?" Jake's question hung in the air, unanswered. "Or what?"

"Well, I guess there aren't really any other options."

Jake sighed. "Then what we do next is obvious isn't it! We have to follow Clara. Simple."

"Simple, Jake?" Jared laughed harshly. "You're out of your bloody mind!"

"Fine. I'll go alone then!"

"You'll what?" Jared looked at Jake incredulously.

"If you won't go. I'm gonna try at least. We'll not get anywhere without giving it a go."

"This is the craziest thing I've heard since you asked to join us this evening. And look how that turned out!" But, Jared was speaking to empty air. Jake had already gone.

Gared sighed and raced after him. If Jake was going to do something stupid like this Gared would have to go with him. If he failed and got killed Elizabeth may forgive him but he wouldn't.

Elizabeth heard a bang on the door, after fifteen hours with nothing to eat had really taken a toll on her. She didn't even look up when the door opened.

"How are we fairing today?" Clara said.

"Go to hell."

"Not well then. Perhaps some food will help." She dropped a McDonalds bag next to her. "Eat, you'll do me no good dead. Very weak maybe, but not dead. At least not yet."

She had been watching the entire time. She waited for Jake to near the sidewalk before appearing in front of him.

He skid to a halt.

"What the hell...?"

She raised a hand to show she meant them no harm. (Gared can more than likely kill me if he tried.) "I saw what happened. And I know Clara."

Gared and Jake both stared at her.

"How?" Gared asked.

"I know where Clara is, and I know what her plan is."

"Tell us!" Gared shouted, his emotions turning into raw energy.

Elizabeth munched on the McDonalds Clara had left her. She had to find a way out of this. If she killed herself Gared wouldn't have a reason to come. But he still would. She knew he would.

"Damnit Gared."

Clara had left the girl to ponder everything. She had to know what Gared was up to.

(The girl is secure, now where is Gared?)

She disappeared...

Elizabeth saw Clara dissappear and decided to try to use this to her advantage. She continued to kick at the doornob hoping that it would give, damn that steel, it wouldn't.

Anna knew that presence. She knew that smell of someone who loved cats. (She's come back, huh?)

She beckoned for Jake and Gared to follow her. "Let's go this way. Come on."

They hesitated, and Jake quickly stammered. "How do we know we can trust you?"

Anna halted, taken aback by the question. "I offer you my help, and you question me?" She slowly turned back to him. "Let's get one thing straight: if I was going to do either of you any harm, I would have already done it! Now, without any more interruptions or questions, shall we go? It's not safe here."

That seemed to urge them on. They reluctantly followed her out of the park and away from their watchful pursuer.

Clara glared at the group as they disappeared from her view.

"Dammit, Anna!" She cursed under her breath. That traitor always had to play the good Samaritan. Clara dashed from the trees and into the shadows, keeping the group in her sights.

(Good. I've got her pissed off. Now, time for the game to begin.) Anna led the two boys down a dark alley, across a deserted street, and into a loud bar.

"Have a seat," she instructed, settling at a table in the far corner. She wanted no part in the fight on the other side of the room.

"Well?" Gared demanded. "What about Clara's plans?"

Anna looked at him, then at Jake. They were both excellent listeners.

"Well...let's just put it this way, you can't go after that girl. What's her name?"

"Elizabeth." The boys chorused.

"Elizabeth, right."

"Why can't I go after Elizabeth?"

"Because Clara wants you to." She stared at him. "Get the picture?"
