Orion sat uncomfortably in the lobby. She was starting to fidget a little. She needed to move. She dove into her bag and pulled out her book. She was starting to open it when a girl came out of the office.
"Hi, I'm Viamire. I'm going to be your guide for a while until you get used to the school." the girl said.
"H-Hello. Pleased to meet you." Orion replied standing up. She bent down to get her things.
"Oh just leave them there. They'll be brought to your room in no time. By the way, here's your locker and combination, your schedual, and room number. You'll be right next door to.......well I don't know her name. I think it starts with an M." Viamire said to Orion. They walked out of the office and Viamire started telling her about the school and different classrooms and teachers.
"So what's your "talent"?" Viamire asked as they stopped outside Orion's room door.
"Ice." Orion said looking down. She was ashamed to tell anyone about it because of what her family did to her.
"Pretty cool. So here you go. Your classes start tommorow." Viamire waved goodbye and walked away. Orion walked into her room and layed down on the bed in the corner. Her luggage had been brought up already. She opened up her suitcase and pulled out pajamas. She got into them and went asleep waiting for the next day.

The bell rang, letting teh students out to lunch. Gray searched the halls and Cafeteria for Marrissa. He couldn't find her anywhere! He headed out to the court yard, a slight breeze ruffling his hair. Maybe she was at the university. With a quick twirl and a large exhale, Gray turned into his tornado form, and was about to rush off when a huge gust of wind, pulled at his structure. It was as if someone had put a leash around him, one made of wind. He fought its tug momentarily, until he decided their was no point, and released his tornado. He dropped onto his feet, what was left of his tornado twirled samler and smaller until it died in a pile of leaves. Gray spun around to see Marrissa standing their smiling. "What, dicthing me so soon?" she said, attempting to put a sad look upon her face.
"actually I was going to look for you. I thought maybe you were at the university. But you know" Gray shot her a teasing smile, "ditching you may not be such a bad idea." He laughed and walked casually over to her. Something about her made him melt inside. It was as if her smile and laugh was contagious.
"You still up for Pizza?" Marrissa asked, her perfect smile still on her face.
"Only if you still are." She led him to a shop, right off campus called "Mafia's Brother's Pizzaria". She had aslice of cheese, he took a slice of pepperoni. They sat down at one of the booth, both enjoying themselves.
"So, You've seen my power, what's yours?' Gray asked, feeling somewhat embarrassed he knew so little about her.
"I can control the wind, didn't you fell a little tug right before you left?" Gray nodded, that was his guess. "So, what brought you here to the school?" Marrissa asked, taking a sip of her soda. Gray told her his entire story, right from the start. "Pretty sad."
"I don't know, Brother Felix is a great guy, he's really cool. How did you end up here?" Gray asked, her eyes seeming as if to draw him into a trance. Perfect smile, perfect eyes, perfect everything. Gray was suprised he was even sitting acrossed from her right now, a guy like him, with a girl like her, Gray almost chuckled. But then again, their weren't any girls at the monastary, maybe he was teh kind for her. He liked that. He aws perfect for her. He doubted it, but he loved the thought of it. Actually, he loved any thought involving her.

Orion woke up in her bed feeliing a little dazed. She looked at her watch. She had been sleeping for an hour. She decided that she would take a walk around the campus and into town. She quickly got dressed into jeans and a tee-shirt. She opened her door and found a fight between students happening.
"Hey new kid! You gotta see this! This is what REAL power is like!" A strong boy about Orion's age was yelling this to her. Orion put her hair behind her ears and just started to walk away.
"Hey! You think you're too good to stay and hang out with us?" the boy shouted.
"No" Orion said still walking.
"I think you are!" the boy said again.
"No I don't. I'll just be on my way if you don't mind." Orion started to run and the group of boys started to run after her. Orion ran out into the courtyard. She needed to get out of the school in order to lose them. She took the map out of her pocket while she was running. She looked it over quickly before she heard "Hey, she's over here!" She took off again towards the main doors. She opened them and ran off of campus towards a pizza place she saw when she first came to the school. That would be a perfect place to hide. She saw it up ahead. She was just outside the window and one of the boys stepped in front of her blocking the door. The others caught up. One boy stepped up to her and punched her in the face. Pretty soon all the boys were kicking and punching her.
"Hey! Get off of her!" another boy came from behind her but this time from inside the pizza shop. The bullies fled and Orion sat up andburied her hands in her face crying.
"They're gone now. Here stand up let me help you." the boy said. "My name is Grey. What's yours?"
"O-Orion Wells." she replied. A girl came up behind Grey.
"And I'm Marrissa." the girl said.

Gray stared angerily at the retreating herd of guys, they must of been drunk. Who in their right mind would punch a girl? Marrissa and Gray helped her up and brought her inside with them. Gray guessed that wit hOrion around, their little "date" must of been over. He asked Vinny, the man behind the counter if he had a pack of ice for Orion and he nodded, rushing into the back to fetch it. "so your new around here huh?" Marrissa asked, sitting acrossed from Orion in a booth. "Yeah, I got here yesterday." Orion said, wiping the tears from her face. "Gray is too. He got here today. I was showing him around." Marrissa said staring dreamily at Gray who still stood at the counter.
"It looked to me like you to were on a date. But what am I supposed to know, it was hard to see you two between punches." Orion laughed. "If you two were going out I'd compliment you, he's pretty cute." These sent the girls up in one of their giggling fits. Gray turned around to see what was so funny, but whatever it was he missed it. Girls made friends so easily. It was as if they were all connected or something. FOr guys, it was an entirely different story. Vinny came back with his pack of ice. "Thanks." Gray said as he walked over to the booth. He ahnded teh ice to Orion, who slapped it upon her face, holding it tight on her right eye. Gray sat down next to Marrissa.
"So, have you been here long?" Gray asked.
"No I got here yesterday."
"Yeah I'm new here too. So what kind of powers do you have?"
"I-" she lowered her head, as if ashamed "- am not sure." Orion said, lying.
"Well, if principle Matthews wants you here, I'm sure you'll find out soon enough." Marrissa said, with words of encouragement. "I can control the wind."
"And I can turn into a tornado."
Orion giggled. They were the perfect couple. Now if only she could find an ice man, like in those comic books her brother was obbsessed with.
Gray looked at his watch then said "Guys the bells about to ring we better get back to school." He stood up, and let Marrissa out of the booth. AS his father always taught him, ladies first. Orion and Marrissa started to walk a little slower, getting into another one of their girlie disscussions. "Probably about make up or something" gray thought. He hled the door open for the two girls. "My," Marrissa said, a twinkle in her eye, a smile upon her face, "You are some gentleman. Let's race back to campus. And don't let me win because its the 'right thing to do'." Then with one quick motion the wind picked up, and Marrissa took off, flying like wonder woman."I'll giver her a head start." Gray said, and then turned into his tornado-self, rushing off behind her, catching up in a matter off second. He shot her a wink, and sped ahead. Orion runnign behind them, falling further and further behind. "Like I said, perfect couple."

Viamire had just gotten back from her violin lessons when she noticed the tornado speeding along the campus. She blinked, a little surprised, but not much. After attending this school for two years, nothing much shocked her any more.

What did shock her was the girl, Orion if she recalled correctly, running after it. The girl was making friends. That made her smile.

She was so busy watching that little spectacle that she barely noticed the boy walking up to her.

"Ah, Viamire, just who I needed to speak with!" He called. Viamire turned and offered a politely reserved smile of her own.

"Hello Jon."

Kye stood infront of the lake, her notebook in one hand and a pen in the other. She paced barefoot back and forth under the trees along the edge of the water, birds sounding in the background. She was adorned in a pair of jean shorts and a light spaghetti strap shirt, her long blonde curls half pulled up into a messy bun--she loved the warm weather. The grass felt cool between her toes as she paced, her thoughts focused on the paper in hand. The whispered softly to herself, attempting to equal the sounds of what she had just written. Her bag sat over at the bottom of a tree, not much in it at all--just a sketchbook and another unidentified book. Kye craved the outdoors--she thought it was what was meant for humans.

After school was over, Gray went searching for Marrissa. He found her sitting on the fountain in the courtyard, working on some of her homework. "Hey" She looked up from her studies at him, her beauty totally blowing him away. He stood there for a few seconds, just gawking. "Hey Gray. What's up? Take a seat." She said, patting the section of fountain next to him. Gray sat down next to her. "I was wondering, since you can control the wind do you think you could turn into a tornado? That would be awesome."
Marrissa smiled at him. "I can try. Get you r bathing suit and meet me by the lake. I know a nice spot where we can hang out. Bring that friend of yours too, i think his names Cedric."
"Yeah okay. See you then." They then walked together, back to their dorms. At the fork in the road, Alex went up the hill to the girl's dorm, gray turned left and went down the hill. He broke into a sprint, and in front of the dorms alost crashed into Cedric.
"Watch it Gray, you almost plowed me over. What's the rush?"
"You got to come with me. Marrissa and I are going down to the lakeside and she wants you to come. My guess is she has a friend that likes you. Grab your trunks and let's go."
"Oh I don't Kn-"
Gray interrupted him. "Come on Cedric. It'll be fun. Anyways, what's to lose?" He nodded and the two of them jogged back to their dorm, one changed in the bathroom the other in the bedroom, and rushed down to the lakeside.

Kye took a short stroll down the pier to the end, stared at the water and the fish beneath her praying for her to drop anything edible to them. She chuckled a little, but disappointed them as she turned and made her way back to the cool grass. A frog hopped by the side of the lake; she smiled it his friendly croak. She suddenly became aware of her lack-of-focus on her piece...she just could not make this sound right on paper.

Orion was walking up the stairs while reading a book. She didn't notice two boys running at her. She walked right into thier paths. As she looked up, she quickly jumped out of the way. As they sped down the stairs she realized they were wearing swim suits. She shook her head and kept reading her book. As she walked down the hall, she found herself in an obstacle course. She looked around and found some kids just wrestling with each other. It wasn't in a harmful sort of way. Just a game sort of of way. As she looked more, the course became and entire track field. She didn't care to much. She turned around and walked to her dorm room. She checked her map and saw that they had a lake on campus. She decided she would check it out later.

I now have time.

Cedric and Gray ran down the road to the lake. The sun was shinning and the wind blowing. It truely was a nice day to go for a swim.

"So gray, why did you want me to come anyway."

"I told you, Marissa wanted you to come."

"Stop for a moment."

"What, why."

"Watch," He bit is left thumb. Then he wrote a weird symble on his hand. "I've been wanting to try this."

"What are you doing?"

Cedrick placed his hand on the ground. "Grab my hand."

"Uh?"

But before Gray could act Cedrick had him, then a second later they apered by the pier at the lake.

"Dude that's awsome."

"Works like a charm." He looked over to see Kye. "Oh, hello."
I will always fight back, no matter what.

Marrissa smiled shyly at Gray, peering at him through her dark eyelashes. My, he was handsome.

"So," she said slyly, "How do you like my bathingsuit?" One could hardly call the pink bikini she was wearing a bathingsuit.
