since Matt wont post a comment I'll try something, but not take him out of character.

"My name is Gray."

"Cedric." He gave him a friendly smile. "Make yourself at home, I'll see you later."

Cedric began to head down the stairs when Gray called after him.

"Hey, wait."

Cedric turned around. "Yes?"

"Can you maybe show me around?"

"Sure."
I will always fight back, no matter what.

Sorry guys, my computer has been down for a while, {stupid little brother with his stupid little games} but I can finally post again!

Gray threw his stuff on the top bunk, he loved the top bunk, and seeing how cedric's stuff was on bottom, he must of liked the bottom. He climbed onto the top bunk, a smile upon his face. "I wouldn't be too excited if I were you."Cedric said nonchalantly. Gray's smile faded, "Why not dude, is it gonna break or something?" Gray asked looking suspisiuosly at the support beams. "No, just Tsu has the room above us." Cedric said, walking out of the room, the door sliding shut behind him. Grya looked to the ceiling, and saw a puddle forming. Great, the upstairs bathroom had a leak. He leaped off the top bunk, and ran to the door, slipping on the wooden floors. He caught up with Cedric as he started to turn the corner. "So, can I see your schedule?" Gray asked, examining all the powers that passed him. Some had wings, others could fly, a few kids were engulfed in fire. One even turned into a shadow before his very eyes. "Hi Tsu." Cedric said to a nice young lady who walked by. "What's so bad about Tsu?" Gray asked.
"Tsu is short for Tsumani."
Gray remembered the leak in the ceiling. Cedric unfolded a piece of paper, looked at it for a second then took a right.
"What was that?" Gray asked curiosuly.
"My schedule. Can I see yours." Gray nodded and handed him his paper.
"Great we have four classes together, and we have three minutes to travel a mile and a half to math at the university.
"Three minutes?!" Gray shouted that was impossible.
"We have powers smart one." Suddenly out of cedrics feet came oozing amounts of blood whihc then took shape into a motorcycle.
"Woah." With one deep breath, he concentrated hard upon flying with his dad. He let the breath out, and with it and a combination of the air around him, his tornado grew. It climbed its way up his legs and surrounded his body, making him look much larger, like a 7 foot tall giant with arms the size of tires. Cedric took off, Gray following close behind.

Cedric finally arived at math class 10 seconds before the bell rang.

"We made it."

"Yeah."

"Excuse me class I'll be back in five minutes, go over your study guide," said the teacher.

"Good, a little time to rest." Cedric slamped into his chair ot of breath.

"You okay man?"

"Yeah, I'm okay."

The teacher returns and the class continued as planed. Cedric whiped the sweat from his forehead. The teacher looked up to see.

"Cedric, do you need the nurse?"

"No sir, but is you would give me a moment."

"Yes, go a head, I have some copies to make any way."

Cedric dug into his coat poket and pulled out some bandages.

"What are those for?" asked Gray.

"My power is a little different from everyone elseses."

"How so?"

"Well, I have to open a wound to use my blood out side me body."

Cedric took off is shoes and socks. His feet were scared.

"What in gods name happened to you?"

"I cut myself, you see, through my power i can make small wounds heal faster like a cut on the foot. The first one never healed fully, so I bust it open when i draw blood from my feet."

"Ouch, doesn't that hurt."

"When you do it a lot, you get used to it. Can i ask you something."

"Sure, what?"

"Did your parents have powers too."

Gray looked away, "No."

"I see, well, mine did. My power is inherited."

"Really?"

"Yes. Our power was origanally used for ritual, but i've tweeked it a bit. I can now make solid objects as you saw with the bike. Here is it's true power."

Cedric unraveled a strip of bandage. He bit his thunb and wiped some blood on it. Then he wrapped the bandage around his foot.

"What did you just do?"

"If I use my abilities for anything other than ritual means, it takes a great strai n on the body. My leg felt like it was 20 pounds heavier.Though through the ritual, it will heal in a few hours without it feeling heavy."
I will always fight back, no matter what.

Name: Kye Johnson

Age: Newly 17

Hair: Long, Dirty Blonde, big natural curls

Eyes: Dark brown, almost black

Bio: Kye is the older of two, her brother being two years younger than she--not that she had seen him in the last 12 years. Kye's father had split before her brother's birth, and at age five her mother passed away from a long bout with early-onset, genetically common cancer. Afterwards, Kye and her younger brother were placed under the care of the Department of Children and Family Services, were split into two different foster homes within a month, and haven't seen each other since. Kye has bounced around from foster home to foster home all her life. She wasn't a bad kid, but there was one thing about her that the families just couldn't deal with--the fact that fire's seemed to developed no matter where she was. Kye was probably around 12 or 13 when she realized she was the one actually starting the fire--whenever she was scared or lonely or sad, it just happened on accident. Just this year, the day of her seventeenth birthday, Kye filed with the court for emancipation from the foster system. She won, and with it the school had managed to get her in on a full-ride. So here she is!

Powers: Pretty much just setting things on fire, she doesn't know yet that she can do so much more.

Personality: Kye is fun. She's pretty much up for anything. She doesn't usually hide her opinions and 'shy' is something foreign to her. She knows who she is and she's not afraid to show it.

My first post is going to be pretty short...I'm a little pressed for time tonight.

Kye stepped through the front doors of the school with one large duffel bag on her shoulder. For a second the high cieling and very open foyer overtook her and she stood in awe at it's, it's, it's...scariness? Oh come on Kye, this is nothing , she thought to herself. As she proceeded on, she marvelled at the students in the hallways between classes. She knew she was a day late, but she had no other choice--the courts only allowed it yesterday. She continued on towards the mail room, removing the key she had recieved in the mail that fit into her mailbox perfectly--she popped it open. Removing her schedule and housing assignment along with a map, she spent the next half hour finding her way around campus and settling into her room.

Name: Zack Parker

Superhero nickname: Zap

Age: 16

gender: male

power: can store and release tremendous amounts of kinetic energy

personality: sarcastic and cynical. He always feels like he got the raw deal, and like everyone is out to get him.

Hair: basic 8 and 2 light brown
Eyes: Green
Body: athletic and very muscular

Bio: Zack played wide receiver for William Taft High. His cousin was sent off to… ahem… that school when he was thirteen, and Zack’s parents were bad at keeping it a secret that they wished Zack had developed special qualities like Jon.

Their wish came true during a homecoming game when Zack powered down the field for a game winning catch that went over his head. He could see it was too high long before it even came near the endzone, but he intended to catch it. He crouched, waiting for it, and then leaped straight into the air 10… 15… 20… 30 feet past the ball, which bounced inertly from the right goalpost. He came down from his tremendous leap into an arm shattering landing that bought him hospital time.

His parents were thrilled, but Zack could have done without the ‘career’ ending injury his power had caused. He sunk into a depression, and then a cynicism. Doctors recommended sending him to a special school for the gifted that would help him control his dangerous power. The same school Jon was sent to when everyone found out he could control time a little, the show off.

Zack has begun to take on a ‘the whole world is against me’ attitude. He thinks the whole deal, his parents, the school, even the power itself, is just a way of everyone saying he should be more like his cousin. He hardly works out at all anymore, since he’s not going to be doing anything athletic anytime soon. He thinks he’d make a cruddy superhero with his injury that won’t ever fully heal. Zack smokes, and even nips at a flask of… something… when he thinks he won’t get caught.

His father coined the name Zap. Zack hates it of course. He doesn’t ‘zap’ anything, after all.

Will do Jon shortly, hope it's ok to do 2 characters since they will be interacting quite a bit and Jon is essential to Zack's story. Will begin writing soon.

I love all the new characters, YAY!!!! Just to let you guys know, superheroes don't need nicknames. If you think about it, all the comic book superheroes only have nicknames beacuse they are the big shots, and need to keep the people close to them safe. Students, on the otherhand, aren't too much of a threat to supervillians. Or at least not yet.

Name: Jon Parker

Age: 16

gender: male

power: manipulates time

personality: tries to be witty, kind of annoying, seems to be a little too proud. Nerd who has been rehabilitated into kinda charismatic.

Hair: butt-length black, but cropped short in front worn in a ponytail in the back
eyes: gray behind silver wire frame glasses
body build: wiry

Bio: Most people didn’t know how Jon did so exceedingly well in school, at least not for the first two years after he discovered his power, which was when he was twelve. The truth was, Jon was spending probably more time than any of his peers studying. He had more time than they did, you see, not just because he was unpopular, but because of his secret.

Jon had a slight hold on the hands of time. He could gain back precious seconds with a little concentration, and with enough seconds, double the length of an entire afternoon.

Disclosing the secret to his first and only girlfriend turned out to be a blessing and a curse. A curse because she exposed him to a friend who was secretly jealous of his academic success over the first couple of years of having his secret. A blessing because after being exposed, it was only a matter of time before he was invited to attend a special school which would teach him to develop and control his power.

"wow" thought Gray, "His powers are more of a burden than a gift." Gray shook his head. Poor Cedric. "-and that is how we measure power." Said the teacher boringly. Then a deafing bell rang out. Time for their next class. Kids morphed, shrunk, walked through the walls, flew, he even saw a kid like him, expect he litterally turned into a breeze. It remeined him of the movie, Casper the friendly ghost. Now where was his next class?

Kye dug through her bag frantically. I just had that stupid schedule...now where did I put it? she thought. Slender fingers finally fell on it and she jerked it out from under the mountains of clothes, nearly ripping it. Soon she was consulting her campus map alongside her schedule, attempting to figure out where she was going. Ah, I'll just walk around until I find something familiar, she thought, I'm already late anyway. With that she stepped out of her dorm, locking the dor swiftly behind her and headed towards the main hall--hoping to find...well...anything.

Gray didn't use his powers to go to his next class, it was only around the corner. A giant guy, looked like a football character, knocked his books out of his hands, his friends around him chuckling. "Hey dude what's your problem!" Gray shouted picking up his scattered books and papers. "What are you, huh, the tiny twister?" "Help me tiny twister help me!" The guy said, impersonating a little old lady. His posse were laughing harshly at Gray. Gray looked at his watch trying to ignore them. He had less than a minute to get to his next class. "This is taking to long." Gray muttered to himself, and went Tornado. He towered over the jocks, blank face staring angerly at the group. "Scat before, I put you all in your classes." Gray said. They left quickly. Gray heard one of them say to their boss. "So much for the tiniest twister." Gray smiled, he liked this power he had over them. Fear, it left a sweet taste in his mouth. Revenge, oh it tasted so good. Gray shook the thoughts out of his mind. He was here to become a hero not a villian. He noticed that all his papers, were spinning around him, in a swilring vortex. He entered his class, reight before the bell rang. He went human again, his papers everywhere on him, he carried his blobl of papers to his desk. He pulled one of of his shirt and put it into a large pile.
"You really need to think about using a binder," said the girl right next to him. "My names Marrisa." With the flip of her hand, a thin gust picked up all his papers, put them in a stack, and stuck them in his newly empty binder.

The small teacher walked in. Gray had trouble not chuckling. He was only about 2 feet tall. Suddenly he levitated at lest three feet in the air. He walked on the thin air to his desk, where he grabbed his attendance sheet.

"Okay," The man said in a squeeky voice. "For all of you newcomers my name Is Mr. Wright, and you are my students. As being your superior you will only call me sir, or, if I give you permission, Mr. Wright. Never Teach, or doc, or any of those wise cracks you kids use." He looked down at his clipboard. "Someones missing." "Alright, is Marrisa here." The girl next to Gray raised her maicured hand in the air, giving a sweet smile to the teacher. "Thank you. Umm is Gray here?"

"Present." Gray said making eye contact with Mr. Wright
"Did I give you permission to say present?" Mr. Wright asked him
"Well no sir but,"
"But nothing! Anyways, is Marcus here,"
a hand shot up.
"Dillon, Victor, Shaun, Emily"
With every name a hand shot up.
"Sarah, Julia, Kye,"
No hand went up with the last name.
"So she's missing." Mr. Wright said, walking over to the phone. He dialed a few numbers and waited patiently. "Mrs. Lawrence, I can you come here for a moment." A plump old lady appeared out of nowhere.
"Yes?" She said in a sweet old voice.
"This girl," he pointed to his clipboard is missing. "Could you bring her here?" Mr. Lawrence looked at the clipboard momentlarily then stared out in space. "Of course, She seems to be lost, that's all." Then she blinked her eyes twice and a girl popped up next to her. She looked as if she had just been peaking in some door. A few chuckles skipped around the room. "Your seat is behind Gray. Gray raise your hand this time so that Kye knows where you are." Gray put hi shand up in the air, and the girl walked towards him and sat behind him.
"I'm sorry I was late Mr. Wright but I-"
"That's sir to you!" Mr. Wright snapped.
"Was lost sir."
"Yes well at least it is better than the time one of my students were using the bathroom and Mrs. Lawrence didn't check where they were fist." He shook his head. "Couldn't relieve my room of the scent for the whole day. But now that we are all here, let's get to work."
