For some reason it makes me think either fantasy, or something Egyptian. Either way, I would pick it up and see what it's about, if it's fantasy, I probably wouldn't read it. Egyptian on the other hand... =D

Sounds like a horror or something about ghosts. Could even be a tragedy thing. I've read too many of those books though, so I might not pick it up. I guess it would depend on the summary or the cover art.
Sounds a bit like a sci-fi set on earth where Anybody smart is made to create giant weapons that are used to fight other planets.
